You forgot one masterpeace, Taj Mahal in Agra, India! UNESCO heritage site and amazing piece of architecture! A tomb built by a shah to his beloved wife who died in childbirth. The 4 towers, minarets, on each corner were built in such way that in the case of an earthquake, they'd fall outwards, not toward the tomb. In other words, they're leaning a bit outwards. Who would think such a magnificent solution?! Worth seeing! I never forget my visit there, a truly stunning construction!
I remember when Churchill died, and they silenced the chimes of the clock out of respect. They don't usually do that, and I think that it was only done one other time. I agree with all the people who said that he's not getting his facts straight! This video was very messed up!
When they took Churchill's coffin by boat from The dock at the Tower of london up river nearer the railway station from where he was to be conveyed onwards for burial at Chartwell, all the cranes in the docks (yes we still had working docks in central London in the early 60s) lowered their gibs in unison in salute
Oh come on..... That Gustave Eiffel let build himself state of the time workspace in the top of his tower is teached the young ones in school, at least here in Germany. Its not a secret here, but it's a private room. The Tower of Pisa wasn't planned to lean, just that it's built on sand, which is not a solid foundation. They even tried to level this from start up partially sinking tower in the first floors during construction by adding height at the sinking side, giving him a slight, but well visible bend, easy to see by eye, when you walk around - but the tower continued leaning and did so until becoming unsafe during the 1980s, so they were forced to close it for the public for several years. They reinforced foundation, straightened the tower to an again safe angle and then constructed an inside counterweight to prevent the tower from getting unsafe for visitors again, since the foundation remains the same weak seafloor. So the "secret" room most likely contains part of the recently added 20. century stabilizing counterweight construction not supposed to be seen by the paying tourist to not destroy the illusion of this impressive ancient architectural assembly. It seems you unfortunatelly like fake news for better clickbait. There should be more honorable ways to earn money.

Interestingly, keeping the code in his hair is exactly what President Trump does today."
The Statue of Liberty never lost it's torch, after the Black Tom explosion (look it up),structural concerns led to the closure well before my visit in the 80's. The torch was later replaced and the original was glass and was lighted from inside, I believe is on display.
Been to the top of the Tower of Pisa and I can assure you there is no secret room. The tower is hollow inside up to the bell terrace. The bell terrace is open to the visitors, and in the center of the floor there is an oculus (round opening) covered with reinforced glass, through which you can see down to the base.

Absolute rubbish. Big Ben is older than half a century as you claim The leaning tower of pisa was not leaning when built, it did not have proper foundations for the ground it's built on and a few years ago authorities had to do remedial repairs and strengthening to stop it from falling over.

Big Ben is not actually the tower of the clock. It is in fact the main bell which chimes the hour after the "westminster chimes" as they are known, have finished ringing.
Bonus facts: - Under the Colosseum there are the remnants of a palace, - The Statue of Liberty stands upon a 11 sided star shape fortress, - There are 3 Statues of Liberty, 1 in NY, one in LV and one in Paris France, - Inside Mount Rushmore there is a hidden room.
There is another Statue of Liberty at RAF Lakenheath airbase in Suffolk, England. It is small, but an exact replica. The USAF fighter wing based there is known as the Statue of Liberty Wing.

Nor is Trafalgar pronounced anything like the way the presenter says it. :D

Big Ben is the name of the great bell inside the Tower of Westminster, know as Elizabeth Tower since 2012, not the name of the tower itself. The bell is used by the clock to strike the hour, and has been made famous across the world by BBC transmissions that started using it on 31st Dec 1923.
I n Europe we've always been told the Eifel towe apartment was for Gustave Efel the engineer who built the tower. Maybe he wanted to show how confident he had in the safety of the structure.
A bit curious, what blast was from the 1st. World War that caused so much destruction to Ellis Island, and to the Statue of Liberty ?
I have never heard this before, and I'm a bit of a history buff !
We're not sure on this one but we'll research it 💕

@@timallsopp6336 Now that's something I had forgotten, thank you for reminding me of that.

About Big Ben. Just to say that it is the bell not the tower. The tower was originally called St. Stephens. But was renamed Queen Elizabeth 2nd tower, In recognition of her 60 year reign.
Big Ben is the name of the Bell. The Tower is called The Elizabeth Tower.
Also Elizabeth Tower has been standing a bit more than half a century, try since 1856.

"It's been said" means: "I just came up with a crazy idea."
Big Ben is the name of the bell in the clock tower, not the name of the tower itself.

Big Ben is older than half a century as you claim
The leaning tower of pisa was not leaning when built, it did not have proper foundations for the ground it's built on and a few years ago authorities had to do remedial repairs and strengthening to stop it from falling over.
Please note that Trafalgar Square is not pronounced “traffle-gar” as if they were two separate words, but “TREEFal-gure” - but said all at once (without pause) and with an emphasis on the TREEF section. Watch other London videos made by British folk for examples of how it’s actually pronounced. Sorry I had to comment because as a Lomdoner, your take on the name just set my teeth on edge!

The torch did open for awhile. My aunt did climb the arm. She was born in 1910 on the boat and arived at elis island with my great grand parents. She went to the status later on and went up the arm. That moment when you know every one of these
Everyone makes mistakes...but it is what we learn from it them that helps us grow.
So...1. Always google the names, of places/people in your video to ensure they are being pronounced correctly! Big Ben is not actually the tower of the clock. It is in fact the main bell which chimes the hour after the "westminster chimes" as they are known, have finished ringing.
"Travel-gar" square?
