@@JOEAPPLE007 Correction: Aerith loves Zack and Cloud, Zack loves Aerith and Cloud, Cloud loves Aerith and Zack. Tifa loves Cloud but Cloud is a massive dumdum who can't figure shit out on his own without the help of dead people
please remember; Cloud was classified with "amazing physical strength" as a grunt. 2 Shinra grunts couldn't pull out the Buster Sword, Cloud wields it easily.
not only that, he jumps like 20 feet and lifts/throws Sephiroth after being impaled. there's definitely something special about him even before he was infused with Jenova cells.
Yourboi Zack lol Sephiroth survived somehow getting cut nearly in half, with his spine clearly getting completely split I think he would have somehow survived that 😂
Everyone: Who do you always follow Cloud, Sephiroth? Give the guy a break. Sephiroth: HE STABBED ME IN THE CHEST! For Mother's sake, he literally stabbed me in the chest with a sword that could cut a guy in half with one swing! And then he threw me to my death with my own sword, WHILE HE WAS IMPALED!
It really is a shining moment for Cloud here. Of course, this is all about Zack and how he was able to fight Sephiroth to the point that he did. But considering what twists we got from FF7 and how "Cloud's memories aren't his" or what have you, this shows that Cloud's potential was actually substantial if he was able to not only get an attack off a freshly "gone insane" Sephiroth but also being able to keep fighting back even after getting impaled. In a way, you can say "Cloud legit defeated Sephiroth. " Not permanently, but a win is a win.
I really love how this showed us a glimpse of how strong Cloud would actually become. He got a hit on sephiroth because sephiroth wasn't paying attention but he also managed to chuck him into oblivion after getting impaled through the chest. This was all while being a regular human. Of course, I love Zack in all this too. He managed to beat Genesis and Angeal, two other first classes. Notice how every first class ever has been a soldier enhanced beyond normal means. Genesis may have been degrading so that counts as only half a victory but angeal was powered up by several copies and Zack still beat him. After numerous victories, it makes sense why he managed to hold against sephiroth as long as he did, even pushing him to his full strength if honors report is to be believed.
Imagine spending a good amount of your childhood idolizing your hero, thinking of all the magical places he could come from, only to find out that he came from the same place as you. That sheer irony
@@zereon i dont think people knew sephiroth was born in Nibelheim, remember the kalm flashback, seph asks cloud how it feels to be back and then says something like "i wouldn't know because i don't have a hometown" so it seems even he didn't know Cloud just admired sephiroth bc he was the strongest soldier
As someone who played ff7cc before the original when I got to this part I seriously wanted to help him somehow I felt just as betrayed as zack in this fight

was he just following orders though? Sephi burnt Nibelheim, killed and burnt his mother, hurt Tifa and her family.... but for some reason he's not that driven in this scene. was expecting him to promise revenge or whatever. but Cloud killed Sephi nevertheless.
You know, its really scary to have a lot of allies through the whole game, and then you get to this part, were you are the only powerful character to face off against an ultra powerful enemy. No turks, no Angeal, only Cloud miraculously showed up to finish off Sephiroth. This is like Madara Unchiha levels of danger if Sephiroth has won.
Cloud may be an infantry grunt, but the fact that he carried the Buster Sword despite not being a SOLDIER, and killed the strongest warrior who had JENOVA’s cell in him; explains how he has a natural talent when it comes to combat in both FF7 and Remake with skills like CROSS-SLASH, CLIMBHAZARD and OMNISLASH. I can see why Sephiroth became petty and really chose to torment Cloud singularly instead of just the planet, or Shinra, or even Hojo...
Some where in the game, it's stated that even before getting the Jenova cells he was a physical power house. There's speculation that the reason he didn't make SOLDIER was because he didn't pass a mental test even though he aced the physical.
Cloud does a jumping overhead swing a lot. Probably as a reference to Braver or as a finisher in Omnislash which would be its natural evolution I guess.
I saw people argue that Zack is stronger than Cloud. Here's the truth, Cloud is stronger than Zack by a margin. Cloud defeats God Sephiroth twice, Zack loses to a much weaker Sephiroth pretty easily. Another argument is Zack is a Soldier and Cloud couldn't even be one. In reality, Clouds entire arc is about how he overcomes his own self doubt. Cloud is literally 10x any Soldier but his lack of confidence holds him back. Cloud literally re invented himself after he thought he was a first class Soldier proving he could have easily have been one if he simply believed in himself. Cloud is a perfect clone of Sephiroth. The only person who perfectly mutated witu Jenova's cells and does not suffer from Cellular degradation.
@@yaboigamerdouji7573 With probably the most American voice ever lol. A lot different from OG. Always thought that in OG he says "don't push your luck" in a calm matter
Cloud, at 17, without Mako infusion, can lift the Buster Sword and while fatally wounded, can lift Sephiroth by his sword, who most likely weights similarly to the Buster Sword (depends on what the Buster Sword was made of). He can fall from a height that would kill him AS A SMALL CHILD and come out with just a tiny scratch on his knee or something. He is basically as powerful as, if not more powerful than, 2nd Class Zack or early 1st Class Zack. With Mako, he probably exceeds post Angeal fight 1st Class Zack, maybe even Shinra military fight Zack. You can tell he got absolutely ripped so he could try to get into SOLDIER, considering he is stronger than most of SOLDIER as a Shinra grunt.
Dude, cloud is scary fuckin strong for someone with literally no boosts in strength. No wonder he was able to go toe to toe with Sephiroth after the mako treatment
No matter what Sephiroth does, the true villain of this game is Genesis. It’s because of the person his likeness is based on that FFVII: CC can’t be released digitally or even remastered

Also fair to say that Sephiroth had mad hubris. The only 2 people who could even threaten his existence weren't there. This is a critical reason why Cloud became such a fixation. He produced power that could only be considered a miracle which is why he was experimented on in the first place.
@@siriuslywastaken yeah cloud and zack are equals and the only reason cloud is stronger is because he had time to make his own fighting style with the fusion blade.
There’s something really wrong about FF7’s story regarding how Cloud had zacks identity and memories. How does mako even make that possible. I think that it’s not mako but Jenova cells in cloud reacting to his desire to become zacks legacy. Sephiroth said that jenova power was the ability to change ones appearance and voice. Superb voice acting, storyline, and it really showed us how human Sephiroth once was…The FFVII remake isn’t all that great but I’m glad they brought Zack back even if it’s only temporary 😢 I hope we got some Zack and Cloud Mercenary stories 👍🏻
Fun fact: Because of this game, the original, and Advent Children, Cloud is the only Final Fantasy protagonist to defeat the main villain singlehandedly
I remember playing this game on my psp as a kid, but never finished it, cuz I sucked at video games at the time. I was stuck in this snow level where I had to go stealth, and never progressed ever since.
3DArts&Crafts they should have did that too because we’ve already seen Safer Sephiroth and Zack dies permanently Or a harder version of Sephiroth since it’s clear he doesn’t exert his power in this fight Guess they were saving it for a Remake?
Didn't notice this when I was a teen when CC originally came out but Square nerfed masamune blade length by quite a bit on this game if you look carefully. ALL Dissidia games it's incredibly long, somewhere around Kingdom Hearts length more or less. CC looks almost like a normal katana. Why hasn't anyone else pointed out this always altered feature about Sephiroth? Smash Ultimate the newest example has Sephiroth at around Advent Children Complete length which is slightly longer than OG FFVII yet a lot longer from CC.
Now that I think about it… 13:18 If Cloud aimed for his head, everything in FFVII with Sephiroth wouldn’t have happened. The game would’ve been solely based on taking down Shinra
Thanks for sharing. I wish you could play as Sephiroth also to see the sorts of adventures he was having during days he was working for that evil company Shinra.
Sephiroth just got done fighting Zack, had his back turned and got stabbed with the Buster Sword. That'd probably make him kinda weaker, he just didn't want to lose to a grunt that's why he just doesn't let go.
I actually theorize it was the Jenova cells that kept him upright. We know it keeps people from being able to kill themselves, so they probably have some ridiculous regenerative qualities. Like, his spine WAS severed, but Jenova cells were just like, “nah, son, you can still use your legs.”
But Zack blocking Sephiroth's attack without him falling off, And Cloud Gets Stabbed and Instead of Being Ripped Off, He was able to throw Sephiroth, how the hell is that even possible?
Zack be like Zack: hol up I got a call from tseng Tseng: is this the end? Zack: I'm trying, I'm trying Sephiroth: trying what, defeat me Zack: no, I'm trying to call attack copter to air strike you Sephiroth: wha- AIR STRIKE LVL4

If he was never sent on this mission in nibelheim, none of this would have happened
@@hammskie05 yes. Sephiroth was a kind and good person before he turn insane
9:27 My Head: is he about to use Bankai? ...nah he doesn't need it.
Fun fact: Because of this game, the original, and Advent Children, Cloud is the only Final Fantasy protagonist to defeat the main villain singlehandedly
FFXIII and FFXIV say hi
Damn sephiroth is still in one piece after stabbing with buster sword in which its width is bigger than his waist
The Thing Is, How The Hell Is Still His Hair Intact? It was never cutted off.
@@fushiguromegumi1814 The Jenova cells are so good, It's DNA can be made into wicked hair gel.
Yeah the OG, this is still the best.
13:04 what’s is the score to this theme? It’s so freakishly haunting and suspenseful
It's called The Prelude To Destruction
Wait a minute Sephiroth just cut some of zacks hair off🤣
I remember playing this game on my psp as a kid, but never finished it, cuz I sucked at video games at the time. I was stuck in this snow level where I had to go stealth, and never progressed ever since.
This game is so emotional... I'm sure many will agree that this is one of the best FF ever made 😸
It’s weird to see Sephiroth blink. 😅
How?
15:08 Is this the pain you felt before Cloud?
Yeah, Lifting Cloud With A Long Katana (it's like you can stab someone in the other country)
Cloud: Tis' But a Scratch
@Unknown Gamer Of course i know that was from advent children i just was reminding...
I just noticed for the first time that Jenova's brain is showing.
@4:56 Sephiroth got Infinity Stones.😅
Imagine if Sephiroth was a mako enhanced elite soldier magic user and knew how to use cure.
Would have been useful.
The og voices are still the best of the best
I wish they made an optional Minerva like Sephiroth battle. Something really difficult to get how powerful this guy really is.
3DArts&Crafts they should have did that too because we’ve already seen Safer Sephiroth and Zack dies permanently
Or a harder version of Sephiroth since it’s clear he doesn’t exert his power in this fight
Guess they were saving it for a Remake?
he gets a power boost after being thrown into the lifestream
It's crazy that Zack faced Genesis, Angeal, and Sephiroth and beat 2 out of 3 of them.
I never understood the concept of the power surges/ roulette system. Was it all by luck?
Yes, it's luck fueled. The developers have admitted that they were inspired by Pachinko machines.
Yes, But I usually spam X whenever I got the three paired lol
Not luck. Just press the X BUTTON repeatedly.
Somehow this version is still better than the heightened graphics Reunion gave it. The Zack and Sephiroth VA's just did it better.
Cause Graphics and voice acting are two separate things
Didn't notice this when I was a teen when CC originally came out but Square nerfed masamune blade length by quite a bit on this game if you look carefully.
ALL Dissidia games it's incredibly long, somewhere around Kingdom Hearts length more or less. CC looks almost like a normal katana. Why hasn't anyone else pointed out this always altered feature about Sephiroth?
Smash Ultimate the newest example has Sephiroth at around Advent Children Complete length which is slightly longer than OG FFVII yet a lot longer from CC.
I hope this part is playable in the FF7R Part 2!
Now that I think about it… 13:18
If Cloud aimed for his head, everything in FFVII with Sephiroth wouldn’t have happened. The game would’ve been solely based on taking down Shinra
It's like that one Avengers meme: "you should've aimed for the head."
Nothing is more satisfying than when the song says "SEPHIROTH" and the Buster Sword hits the floor towards the end.
Did anyone ever try timing the music with that final cutscene? Just me, okay?
They didn't put in the best Cloud quote when he stabbed Sephiroth:
"My mom, Tifa, the town...give them back."
15:17
Can someone explain to a newcomer how Cloud overpowered Sephiroth here?
Rage from killing his mother and destroying his town
Our man saw a Twix bar in the lab and knew what his snack was gonna be afterwards.
After X years i jest realized they sing "Sephiroth" in his song lol. Big ego dude
“Big brain” lol
Thanks for sharing. I wish you could play as Sephiroth also to see the sorts of adventures he was having during days he was working for that evil company Shinra.
How was Cloud able to throw off Sephirot using his own sword 0:?
Limit break!
Limits are meant to be broken
Plot armor
Sephiroth just got done fighting Zack, had his back turned and got stabbed with the Buster Sword.
That'd probably make him kinda weaker, he just didn't want to lose to a grunt that's why he just doesn't let go.
@@boxtupos7718 Nah, He was perfectly after Cloud stabbed him, stop making excuses.
Sephiroth should’ve let go when cloud picked him up from masamune
Coming here after learning that Crisis Core is getting released for modern consoles in 2022!! Can't wait to get it on PS5 and maybe even Switch!
Is anyone gonna talk about that move sephiroth used at 5:01 that's basically representing the crystals of final fantasy 1? No? K
"Do ya get it? Do ya get it?! Sephiroth used to be a hero!" was and still is Square's not-so-subtle mantra about Sephiroth :U
The sync on 11:52 is some of the most metal shit i've seen on final fantasy as a whole
Final fantasy 7 crisis core is the best game I've ever played till now it my favorite game I love this game so much 😍👌🏼
He survived on Impaled by Sephiroth and hurl her to the pit of lifestream
This game looks amazing I really want to play it for myself
Same.
It's crisis core, you can emulate it on pc
It a hand head PSP game.
Remastered on the way!
the way he falls down the stairs 😭
Lol you know the first fight was only phase one with the lack of One-Winged Angel.
Calamity of the Sky and The Nemesis of the Cetras that brings death on the Solar System
With a horizontal stab on that fat sword, Sephiroth should have been split in two.
*ACTIVATING COMBO MODE*
sephiroth is so strong he can get his spine n hair stabbed though n still walk
ot have his hair get cut, that is some max level vitality stat
Just freaking call it Ultra Instinct, I know you're holding back.
I actually theorize it was the Jenova cells that kept him upright. We know it keeps people from being able to kill themselves, so they probably have some ridiculous regenerative qualities. Like, his spine WAS severed, but Jenova cells were just like, “nah, son, you can still use your legs.”
@Ras Elclare The hair simply is. Sephiroth is destined to have long, gorgeous hair, so no blade can cut it. Lol
i wonder how was sepiroth body doesnt split after stabed with buster sword
But Zack blocking Sephiroth's attack without him falling off,
And Cloud Gets Stabbed and Instead of Being Ripped Off, He was able to throw Sephiroth, how the hell is that even possible?
Who else laugh hard at 4:05 😂🤣😂
Zack be like
Zack: hol up I got a call from tseng
Tseng: is this the end?
Zack: I'm trying, I'm trying
Sephiroth: trying what, defeat me
Zack: no, I'm trying to call attack copter to air strike you
Sephiroth: wha-
AIR STRIKE LVL4
What a fantastic fucking game. I still have my psp and crisis core. I replay it every year or so.
Using the enemy's Octa Slash against Him what a badass hahaha
Such a fantastic underrated game
Sepiroph calling the humans dullard's.🤨
Who in the world will be carrying there mom's head
mileena kan that’s how Insane Sephiroth became apparently
But I suppose from his point of view he was liberating her from being an experiment of Shinra
Jenova however can live without its head.
Sephiroth.
Sephiroth apparently, also Mathieu Bellamont.
the world enemy
CLOUD:
Return my mother... Tifa... and my village! I respected you... and admired you, but... You bastard!!
I miss this game so much.
I came here to see if Sephiroth's death scene is as silly as it was in the original game. Turns out it still is.
