My exact thought, but, then, I noticed that he was sleeping at the beginning, to be awoken by the fall. Since the fall is what he remembers, I guess that he thinks that they're playing a prank on him, which he thinks was Gladio's idea.

That does sound like something Gladio would do, he strikes me as the "surprise training!" kinda guy. XD
To be fair, until he's attacked by the manikin, Noctis probably thought they were all hiding behind a rock or something like a practical joke. XD
I think Noct is the most "human" character in the entire cast for giving the most realistic reaction.
Thats the idea. And he is the latest protagonist in the franchise.

Drew Ward Cecil was a Prince, he was adopted but the King never had a wife before well he was taken over and raised Cecil as he own kid... So my guess would be the Cecil would eventually taken the crown.

If you've seen any Dissidia play from previous games, Cloud says nothing to anybody. There wouldn't be much to talk about. Noctis is a heir to a kingdom. Cloud was a nobody who lived someone else's life (Zack).

@@krisantusliang9595 No. They aren't connected. They only have a similar lore due to the gods within their lore. Versus XIII had a different outlook at what the Crystal, Etro, etc. Would be like as opposed to XIII. Versus was basically the opposite of XIII until it became XV. But the Crystal lore in XV somewhat is the same.

I get the post is old, but serious question. Though I doubt this takes place after XV, if it does, where's Lunafreya in Nocts' afterlife bit? The story is after Dissidia and all characters from olders final fantasy have already finish their own stories, and this time, they have all their memories.
No it cannot happen after they have finished their own stories. Otherwise, why would you have Young Noctis, or any of the villains?...
Yeah it seems to be a bit picky and choosy with that, Cecil and Kain should be like 20 years older also since The After Years is a thing lol. But yeah, Light and Cloud seem to be from more in the future at least than previously.
I'm really glad they all remember the old Dissidia
Time and Space functions differently in the Dissidia Dimension which is why Villains and Young Noctis appear in NT. When Noctis is pulled from his FF world it is during the events of FFXV before he met Lunafreya at Altissia and the Villains are pulled from the after life from after they had died. The other FF characters are pulled from Post-Game since that is when they are at their peak but events of Dissidia NT happens during FFXV timeframe when Noctis was still traveling to Altissia thus why his younger self was pulled from FFXV world.
It is also why Noctis is the youngest member of the Warriors of Light since his story has yet to be finished due to events of NT happening in FFXV Young Noctis Timeframe but all the other FF WoL stories have been finished since events of FFXV happens after all past FF game stories by FF series Time and Space timeframe

Oh, I didn't know that. That's awesome, now I'm definitely going to buy the game. Just hope Zack will be implemented as a character (or at least a skin for Cloud, or something) later on. Maybe also add Ardyn and Caius Ballad to complete the villain set

Lone Wander Noctis and Lightning’s respective games were announced in 2006 together, so we’ve been shipping them and waiting for them to meet for over 11 years.

Cloud, Lightning & Noctis for my mains. And Ive played from 7 onwards. Tidus and Squall as alternatives since I enjoyed their play styles in Dissidia and Duo Decim. Lightning was probably my best character in Duo Decim
