So it’s worth staying overnight? I thought maybe a day trip was enough. What place did you stay at Lake Kawaguchi? Would love your itinerary. I think there is a train from Tokyo station to Lake Kawaguchi? Or I might just take a bus…how much was your Shinkansen ticket to mt. Fuji?
Hi - yes it’s definitely worth staying overnight in my opinion. We stayed at an Airbnb we found which was a 20 min walk to the Kawaguchiko station (there is only taxis there). The traveling will take 2 hours one way assuming all runs smoothly and the activities should take a full day. You also want a day to explore the town in case there were some things you missed, or if the day you arrive, the weather isn’t ideal. We used a JR pass to one of the stations that connects to another train station that requires you to take a local train w/ a separate ticket to Kawaguchiko since it’s in the mountains and rural. You’ll be tired after traveling, and want to use an onsen as well. Day 1- travel from tokyo to kawaguchiko, walk from station to airbnb, rest, and get settled, stay overnight Day 2- do activities, such as ropeway, boat ride, exploring, and onsen, stay overnight again Day 3 - leave in the morning. Thanks for watching the video! May I ask how you found it? My full Japan itinerary is on my channel with day by day episodes, so feel free to check out my Japan Vlogs playlist for a good idea of what each day entails!
@@mistahdieu thanks. Is there a place where you have your own room with onsen? I don’t want to be naked around people. TH-cam algorithm suggested your vid to me

@@inquisitvem6723 there's some hotels that have a private onsen - you can look at la vista fuji kawaguchiko. they are expensive though!
