How hard is UCAT? UCAT is a very difficult test. It can be difficult to know where to start with UCAT preparation. When you start studying for UCAT is to understand the types of questions that you will face. You should aim to complete one practice exam a day & try to replicate the test environment as best as possible. iCanMed helped me to provide various UCAT sample papers, Multiple test, Doubt solving sessions, and Personalised attention that were very helpful for mu UCAT exam success.
Thank you for this video! I’m sitting the UCAT in NZ next year. I sat it last year, but already knew I wasn’t getting into med (due to grades in one paper) so I went into it with no practice and just gave it a shot (had already paid and wasn’t getting a refund so why not lol). Hopefully this video will help me out next year!!
I'm one of those that worked on their strengths. I knew VR was doomed lol so I was like nah let's just focus on the other 2. But yeah it's quite a bet a lot of us have to take.
Thanks for this! Could you possibly do a video on student loan/ finance and about the maintenance loan, repayments, how much you have you borrowed so far if you have etc... since it seems all so stressful! (: thanks
Hi Kenji! Just wanted to say thank you for making all of your videos they’re so informative and fun to watch 💕 I would like some advice on my application though - I sat my UCAT yesterday and I achieved 658 average and Band 1 on my SJT. I really want to apply to KCL as I love what the Medicine course there entails however now I’m unsure if my UCAT score is high enough 😭 I did get 7 A*s and 3 As in my GCSEs so maybe my GCSE grades will partially compensate for my slightly low score? Any advice would be very much appreciated! I’m so uncertain of applying because everyone keeps telling me that KCL only accepts people with UCAT scores of over 700 and I don’t know what to believe 😭
Hey! I got 645 in my UCAT and know many friends at King's who got similar scores. King's are quite holistic when they look at your application and focus on other aspects other than academics - so based on my experience I wouldn't be disheartened in applying!
Hey Kenji ! Long time follower of your journey here aha xD I wanted to ask you, would you recommend the 1250 ISC book? I'm reading and hearing from alot of people that the questions are extremely hard and unrealistic and that the explanations are not very good? Ty !!
Hey! Thanks so much for the support. Tbh I haven't used that book myself so I'm sorry I can't comment too much on that. I'd definitely recommend the Kaplan book though!
thank you for the video. how would you recommend the amount of time that students in high school(IB to more specific) should spend on preparing for this test? I've seen people saying that they spent 4-6 hours before the exam starts which is very unrealistic because of the heavy workload from school.
Hey Kenji, random q is it a long journey from Angel lane to guys campus? I'm a med student with KAAS and looks like angel lane is the only accommodation available atm, would you reccomend taking angel lane?
I would like to personally say thank you Kenji. I watched one of your videos and my essay mark went up by 2 grades. Love this video
That's amazing!! Thank you so much :D
As a korean medstudent, all these information and how students in different countries study are so useful🙏🙏
Thank you so much! Glad it helps :)

I guess it's down to what works best for you!
Hi Kenji, what cameras/filming equipment do you use? Crisp quality across your videos dude.
Thanks man! I use a Sony A6400 and Road mic Pro+
Any tips on how to spend time during this whole lockdown situation as a prospective med student?
Start writing your personal statement and practicing the UCAT :)

I personally spent 4 hours a day for 3 weeks but the more time you have, the better!
Do you happen to still have your notes that you mentioned in your video? If so could you perhaps link or send an imagine? Thanks!
Unfortunately I don't!
Hey Kenji, random q is it a long journey from Angel lane to guys campus? I'm a med student with KAAS and looks like angel lane is the only accommodation available atm, would you reccomend taking angel lane?
It's not close, you'll probably have to take a bus or ride a bike but it's manageable!
Dude would really appreciate if you got back to me , what do u think of the medic portal question bank
I haven't used it myself but I know many of my friends have!
Kenji Tomita And did they think it was good ?
When would you recommend doing moc papers? Like how close to the actual UCAT
I'd say about 2 weeks after beginning preparation!
Hi Kenji! I was looking at KCL accommodations and some say “KAAS En-suite” what does that mean? Thanks
KAAS is a scheme at king's where they lower the rent for people who come from a low income family!
hey man did you expect to do very well with the verbal reasoning or was the results kind of the same from your mock tests?
They were more or less the same tbh, I didn't expect to do well in it!
Do you think you can ‘miss your peak’ with more than say 2 months of practice?
In my opinion I would say that 2 months is a bit lenghty, but it depends on your personal circumstance!
How many weeks or months do you recommend to be able to confidently sit the UCAT
I'd recommend 3 to 4 weeks!
I am from Pakistan can i give ucat test online
you didn't have decision making?? damn this sounds great lmao
Haha yeah we got lucky that year... Although I performed quite well in it haha
@@DoctorKenji haha yh me too tbh, I find that it is the easiest one
do all unis use the ucat?
Not all! Check this link www.jobtestprep.co.uk/ukcat-universities
Is 2 weeks enough to revise?
It depends on your situation but the longer time you give yourself the better
😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤
