I liked Absolver, but only played singleplayer. When I saw the Sifu trailer for the 1st time I shat myself in excitement. Game came out and it was better than I could've imagined and they gave us so much content for FREE. Then I heard they're making a football game and a lot of people on the Sifu subreddit crying about it so I went to look at it and it looks sick. Do I want a football game? No. Will I play Rematch? Hell yeah. What we got so far is not much, but that little looks rly cool.
The developers are still as passionate about Rematch as they were with their previous titles so I'm super sure that this game won't disappoint. Just excited to be able to play a multiplayer Sloclap game myself, hoping to face the same people here as I did in Absolver.
the next game is gonna be absolver 2 guys, trust. but yeah i'm excited for this game, nothing compares to it in the football genre. will probably buy it day one, it looks fun
One thing you forgot - making a fighting game and a football game share *a lot* of similarities. Might sound weird; but the way you build a fighting-game is pretty much exactly how you build a sports-simulation game. Not only on the animation side; but more importantly on the engine side. So with sloclap making REMATCH makes perfect sense to me; also filling a void and targeting a way bigger audience than pve fighting-games.
I generally agree that sports have the same “mind games” mentality that fighting games do. But absolver is the closes thing they have to a fighting game and even then it’s not a fully realized one. I do agree though! Mind gaming and anticipating your opponents is very sports oriented no matter how you slice it!
I literally just played absolver for the first time because my friend randomly said it was 3$ on cdkeys... I now have 50 hours... I'm kinda sad there isn't any news of an absolver 2 because absolver is awesome ngl
To be honest, I am not interested in any sports game. I wish they could make Absolver 2; the art style, character customization, and combat system are unlike anything I have ever seen before. The biggest downfall of Slowclap is making it a multiplayer-oriented game when the single-player content is too short to retain enough player base for it to work properly. Personally, I quit because it's just really uncomfortable to play while using a mouse & keyboard, especially where most of the important controls are non-bindable. By the way, congrats on 1.91K subscribers, I still remember a few years ago when I accidentally stumbled into your channel when you first started. You were one of the only few people who dedicated to Absolver, a small niche indie game with less than 40 players in 24-hour peak. It was tough. Finally, 0:33 Why are you still helping them, even after they pull that one on you? Their action is inexcusable.
Did you ever try playing absolver on a controller? That’s basically how everyone plays anyways these days. Very rare to find a keyboard mouse player! And I appreciate that you’re still around after stumbling onto my channel! It meant a lot to read that, I’m proud of what I’ve built, even if it’s not the biggest thing! AS FOR 0:33 I honestly had a feeling they would forget or drop me and ghost me. While I think that’s kinda shitty, it doesn’t stop me from enjoying what they make. BUT IT ALSO DOESNT stop me from dragging them and poking fun about it in any video I make hahaha.
I don't like soccer, but I got excited about this one just by the novelty of the premise, how many third person soccer games we have? maybe its great, maybe I'll hate it, likely both, but I'm excited to try fifu, maybe the one thing I'm worried about is their netcode, pls sloclap do better on that one

I would love rematch to be free to play, maybe thats the move to make a lot of money on cosmetics and skins and vfx
