Thank you Stewart , Johnathan for this lesson .
What do we know about colours? What do we know about red ? Red suggest -strong , is life ,health , vigor , courage ,anger , love , religious .
It is a visually color that naturally dreaw the viewers"s attension . Color is stranger than language ,is a subliminal communication . Red is also , vitality , passion, good fortune , celebration ....Many world leaders have worn red to symboloze their power .
You have to have a special state of soul and mind when you are looking at a painting .It is about emotion , feelings, perception . and so on .
Very interesting subject , we need a kind of knowledge , culture ...
Have s special Autumn full of grace and beauty .

The style you paint, i.e. detail face with abstract like surrounding, just touch me. I love the style. I love the portrait of King Charles! It is a powerful picture and the picture is full of energy. The color tone shows the king is very much alive and energy although he is fighting with cancer.

Your studio looks eerily like mine. 2 meters wide by 10 meters long, with an inclined roof.

Also, instead of charcoal, one could use a dry pastel stick. One like burnt umber, Sienna or dark ochre.

Why can't you paint like Pietro Annigoni?

I have seen far better artists on SkyArts Artist Of The Yare .. Art has long been hijacked by Hockney, Hirst, Emin etc and now promoted by HRH King Charles 111.. God Save The Zing
