    The Lakers drafted a guy in the mid-2000's who was supposed to be a successful NBA player for years. Instead he turned to a gang member that's now in prison until 2038. This is the story of a Class President in high school who made one decision that ruined everything.

I wish that young man had made better choices for himself. Had he done that, a young mother would never have been killed. Plus, her children would still have her in their life. Smh. He should have stayed out of the streets. He definitely didn't know anything about the rules of the street life. Smh.

    Some people can have everything handed to them on a silver platter and they can still screw it up. Many times a person like this is so used to getting away with things all through in high school and college . Due to this they never truly learn that their actions have consequences. But when the time comes when they are wronged like in this case when he was robbed the person cannot let it go and are consumed by revenge. And getting back at the one who wronged them ends up being the very thing that brings them down and by the time they think about the consequences it's far to late.
    It's obvious the guy was not an upstanding member of the community after robbing people and using a mother of 4 as a human shield. But he survived and she didn't and that's the worst part because not only did an innocent woman lose her life he took 4 kid's mother from them and no matter if that was intentional or not it is truly horrible and inexcusable. There are no winners here and I hate it for all involved. I hope those children were able to stay together and had good family members or adopted parents to help them through such a horrible time and a hard future without their mother in their lives.

    Casey: “He had it all!”
    Javaris: *literally didn’t have a dad
    Ppl underestimate how not having a father affects young men. They are statistically a lot more likely to commit crimes and go to jail. Obviously that doesn’t apply to all men raised by single mothers, because look at LeBron (though being raised by a single mother definitely affected him in other ways, but I digress) and at the end of the day, everyone’s responsible for their own actions.
    This story just kept getting worse and worse though. Gilbert Arenas is such a shit. Outside of basketball dude is the worst and messy as hell. Shit, he BETTER still be checking on Javaris. He probably feels a little bit guilty, which he should. The most disgusting part of this story for me was the guy who used that woman as a human shield. Smh.

    Was it three or four NBA teams that traded Javaris before he ended up in China? To me, that indicates Javaris had "cranial problems" before he accidently shot a locker room attendant. In other words, Javaris was a ticking time bomb who was gonna go off sooner or later, so NBA team after NBA team shit-canned him.

  • @cashstacksg478
    @cashstacksg478 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The problem with Javaris (I think) was, he had been reaching up on one end, but down on the other. He didn't pick and choose his friends wisely. Educated? Talented and religious? He sought friendship with people outside that yolk, which, as you can see, was the greatest mistake of his life. Maybe someone out here can learn from this.

    Thanks for this great video. I appreciated your spotlighting Javaris Crittenton (whom I'd never heard of, previously).
    Also, I really appreciate your clarity and enthusiastic delivery. That's why I think I can safely ask you the following question.... (I’ve asked this same question of at least a dozen other TH-cam presenters, so I hope you don’t take it personally, or in a negative way. I’m on a quest to understand a particular speech pattern and, so far, I don’t have any clear answers.)
    My question: Why do you often say “aye” for “a” ... and “thee” for “the”? To my knowledge, there are very limited circumstances in which those pronunciations would be correct (i.e., most often related to the first letter of the word that follows the article)... and most of the time they're not. To my ears, these sounds very unnatural -- I have doubts you or anyone would use these pronunciations in everyday conversation, for example.
    I remember my father doing this, when I was a kid, while he was pretending to be a newscaster or a high-ranking military officer. My only guess, at this point, is that there is a belief that these pronunciations make the speaker sound more formal or educated. I am interested in hearing from those who use this speech pattern, however, and would appreciate any light you could shed on this.

    That was most definitely not just a blip for Arenas. First of all, like you said, he played (only) 3 more years, and never recovered his all-star form.
