Some people get their shoulder holster from us and feel lost. How do I adjust it? What do all these things do? We're going to show you how it works, so you can set your shoulder holster up so it functions as you want it to and carries more comfortably.
First, be aware that this is a leather shoulder holster with hard polymer retention shells to hold the pistol and spare magazines. The leather needs to be given a bit of time to break in.
You can choose black or brown leather, and you can also customize the holster to carry a second pistol or two spare magazines.
If you find your pistol fits a bit too tight, you may need to loosen the retention screws or install some different retention spacers to adjust the fitment of the pistol. We include a complete parts pack if you need to do that.
The pistol and magazine carrier base pads can be canted by moving the belt hooks and shoulder straps to a different attachment point on the magazine carrier and/or pistol holster base pad. No tools are needed.
To adjust strap length, you'll need to use a screwdriver to loosen and then move the hardware. Once you find the length setting you prefer, fasten the shoulder strap hardware to secure it.

A very nice shoulder holster, indeed! I had to modify the shell to accommodate my Springfield XD40 with a 5" barrel, which took all of 5 minutes, but it was easy to do and everything functions great. Great product!
This is an amazing shoulder holster indeed! Takes more time to adjust because there are so many different ways to personalize it, but it is definitely worth taking some time trying out all of the different options that this shoulder holster offers. I bought a craft holster shoulder holster. Very high quality, comfortable, much simpler to adjust, and far cheaper. I bought it for my Glock 26, but my CZ75 P01 Omega and 1911 also fit perfectly.
These make shoulder carry look extremely tempting, really good stuff!

Ive had my shoulder holster and the Alien Gear shapeshift core sense march 2019. I cant compare it to any other shoulder holsters for it was the 1st one I every had and found NO NEED for any other.. this is very comfortable and you will find an adjustment for yourself.. One day if it dont feel right you can adjust again.. Great holster. The shapeshift core kit I like for to be able to carrier 4 to 5 different ways with one holster.. I dont find it to be the most comfortable holster ONLY because I DONT like to wear a belt.. I am ordering their belly band 1st of the year to see if that will work for me as well but for the shoulder holster I dont think you would find a better holster! Great video Nate and tks..

For several decades, I used dual parallel shoulder holsters from DeSantis. They no longer make such holster rigs now. After doing my due diligence, I went to my favorite belt holsters- Alien Gear. Prior to this, I didn’t know that Alien Gear made holsters for my choice of pistols. Sometimes, patience pays off. I’m now grateful for having waited to get “perfection” to go along with my Glocks- in this case two G47 MOSs. Same form as what would have been the Gen 5 G17 MOS. Hell yeah I can't wait to get mine. I just ordered this like 30 minutes ago from making this post. I have a Taurus pt92 with rail because I like Taurus so there lol. But yeah they have a holster for that and every other pistol you can think of. But after watching some vids about it I think I'm going to be a fan of this company for years to come hopefully. Now I gotta find one for my Smith & Wess scandium alloy J frame Snubbie. Oh and that little alien head on the back of this shoulder holster looks cool AF 👽

I just got mine a few days ago. Adjusted everything and I love it!
Watched this video to see how to adjust the mags and he said its easy not going to go into it lol. I can’t even see what the screws are whether its a philips head or Allen, either way it wasn’t included in the tools. Hate to strip it using the wrong thing.

I love my Alien gear holsters. Have the cloak and shape shift for all my weapons.
That said I do not use it on my custom 1911 for fear of scratching the finish. Is there anyway to get them with suade lining. If so I'd be the first to order a shoulder system.
I love mine. It was a bit hard to figure out at 1st but I've git the shells for every pistol I own now. As well as belt carry and the vehicle mount.

I got mine today, exactly same weapon set up with the glock as the video and the retention is so so tight. Is it possible I got a shell that's just too tight???

I see you can adjust the cant from horizontal to about 45 degrees up or down. My question is can you make it completely vertical muzzle straight down? Thanks
I don't think you can do it with that I believe you have to get yourself a vertical type holster

They don't come with the mag holders except for the shoulder holster expansion pack unfortunately. As for how concealable it is, it really does depend on body shape and individual body type. That's why we offer a 30 Day Test Drive so you can make sure that it works for you.

I got one for my beretta 92fs and it stills kinda loose on it and I already tightened all the way what else can I do
Hey so mine came in today very happy! Looks great feels great! Only one complaint. The mag carriers are too big. I ordered it for my Smith and wesson m&p shield 9mm. The gun fits great however my mags wont fit. They fall out. Maybe my mags are too small. Do you think you guys can send me a smaller mag carrier?
The mag carriers are adjustable. Look for the adjustment tool that should be attached to the mag carrier. It will allow you to tighten the mag carrier to fit your magazine.

I really like the shoulder holster from what I’ve seen and read, but I had a question. I was wondering if your 1911 shoulder holster will fit the double stack 1911s, particularly the Rock Island Armory GI standard 1911 FS HC in .45 acp. I discovered the gun on one of your guys’ blog posts and like the idea of carrying it in a shoulder rig like this.

Alien Gear makes a Good Product but I chose the "Masc Shoulder Holster" in all leather. I hate anything around my waist and I have been a long time Pocket Carry Guy and I tried several Shoulder Rigs years ago but did not like them But I decided to try another one and I think this One is a Keeper! I have found that in order to make it right & comfortable, you have to keep adjusting it until you get the proper fit for your body structure and once you find the right fit, they are Great! I have Fitted & Adjusted mine to fit under a lose fitting untucked shirt and by leaving one key button unbuttoned, I can quick & easy draw my weapon with no problem at all! This method works for me but you also have to practice Practice and Practice, until it becomes smooth and you develop muscle memory! Good Luck Everyone!

So how does the elastic on the shoulders wear over time. I’ve noticed mine stretches quite a bit. I can only imagine that it will not retain its strength over time. The weight of my Kimber 1911 stretches it . Just wondering.

Does the glock 19 holster compatible with a red dot?
the website doesnt show an option for a hk p30l or id get one.
How comfortable are those BIGASS buckles on the backstraps when you lean back against something? Are there any plans to do away with the buckles and go to something more low profile?
The shoulder straps are actually pretty supple! They're made of neoprene padding for comfort. They also can orient high or low on your back shoulders depending on how you tighten the front and back adjustments. It's pretty convenient! Personally, I haven't noticed them at all when leaning back against anything. Give it a try if you'd like, if you don't like it you can send it back for a refund.
Can my ruger 57 fit in the holster?

Does the holster you showed work for the Glock 19 with a TLR1. I would think the Glock 17 and 19 with the same attachment is interchangeable.
I was told the straps were not removable for the holster. Your video contradicts the customer service agent. Who is correct here? As far as removing the straps, is it permanent or can it be replaced when wanted?

I really wish you guys had a level 3 retention capability on these, I simply do not trust non mechanical retention. The rig itself looks good but a hard plate on the firearm side would be nice so I could attach a level 3 retention holster to it.

I was looking on the website for the Cloak series shoulder holster. The drop down menu didn't seem to have an option for the Beretta 92A1 with a light, specifically the Streamlight TLR 8A G.

What are the differences between the cloak and shapeshifter shoulder holsters?
The shape shifter can be adapted to around the waist carry but has fewer varieties of guns. The cloak is only used for the shoulder holster but has many more types of guns. You can purchase endless gun shells to put on your cloak with many different lights. All can be added to the same shoulder holster system.
Elastic sewn into leather on the shoulder straps... Doesn't bode well for long term durability.

I have a CZ10P 10 C with a TLR-7 light. In this video i see a light that is a little longer, and everyone knows Glock holsters FIT CZ guns. I would like to order one of these but Im confused a bit on the website. I want one with a holster under the left arm so if I select right hand draw and select holster, does that mean the holster is placed under the left armpit?
Yes because you are drawing with your right hand under your left arm. and you can check that information by looking at the following option. It asks what you want your left hand draw to be be ( mags or additional holster)

Whats the difference between the Cloak and the ShapeShift?
Some say the difference is that the ShapeShift once turned itself into a frog an a prince...at the same time. And that it once brought intergalactic peace just by doing some yoga stretches. All we know is - it's not the Stig - it's the Stig's Alien cousin.
In all seriousness, there are a lot of differences between the two. While both are customizable, the ShapeShift is modular, meaning you can turn one ShapeShift IWB holster into an AIWB, OWB, backpack holster, shoulder holster and more. This works because ShapeShifts have a shell and a base, and by putting the shell on different bases, you can make different holsters.
Our Cloak Tuck line was one of our earlier lines and still one of our most popular. We holster a lot more guns in the Cloak line at the moment than ShapeShift, and some people do say it's easier to conceal, though that is a matter of opinion. For both you can adjust the ride-height, cant and retention.

The shoulder holster is a carry option that many people prefer because of how mobile you can still be while using it, but it isn't for everyone. You do have to find a carry-style that works for you.

What’s the difference between cloak and spaceshift?
That is a good question. In essence, the ShapeShift is our injection molded version that is also modular. The mold for the Cloak Tuck is pressed to fit the gun and isn't modular.
