- I've completed each layout of all 4 Automaton Mega Bases Solo on the highest difficulty. Here are all of the details to completing these. The primary or support weapons you may need. Even a few stratagem recommendations. But I have done these with multiple different loadouts. #helldivers2

my strat for these forts
loadout - eruptor, plasma pistol, AMR, 380mm, recon scout vehicle (puma/warthog), ammo pack
ez fort (crane fort), the second you step in, 2 well placed eruptor shots in the far fabs, thermite 2 closer ones and then turn around and eruptor shoot the fabs behind, boom ez fort down in 30 secs (best use the bunker overseer as cover)
medium fort (cliff fort), climb the back, shoot near by bunker, (thermite the towers 'if' they spawn too close to you), 5 eruptor shots from the back, then perfectly tose a thermite on the middle lower one thats guarded by a bunker, boom medium fort down in 40-1 minute
hard fort (bunker hell), approch from left or right (if left, tose a thermite and if you have a puma and lost of cover, eruptor the lower fab) (if right, tose a thermite on the right fab near the 2 bunkers, and well place eruptor shot on the other fab), if you in the middle, tose a 380 near both lower and middle fab and hopefully it dies and finish the remaining ones, boom hard fort down in 2-4 minutes
DT fort (mordor fort), approch from the back, kill the bunker turret that could see you, tose a well placed 380 on DT, it will kill it plus 2-3 fabs near by, run to where the DT died after shooting 2 well placed eruptor shots to the fabs, then tose a thermite on the last fab and boom DT fort down in 1-3 minutes, (the puma is good for hit and runs and also wasting their reins if you get rein called on you)

My hatred for Bot Fortress Guns (the special ones, not the ones that are just tank canons on towers) knows no bounds. I literally switched my entire bot loadout around to focus on dealing with Them specifically

I’ve died to them so many times that I’ve practically memorized all of their positions.

Cool to see you bring the Diligence on bots. I feel obligated to take DCS but I like the scope and overall look of the base model way more.
I recommend railgun over recoilless in that case. You have a bit more ammo for the smaller enemies while still being able to deal with bigger ones. +thermite

Very easy to digest mate, you put your order of elimination and thought process together well. Mega Nest in same format and commentary style will have no issue.
I love throwing a walking barrage from the top where you put the ATE. Also, an amazing/fav primary is the crossbow for long distance fab kills
It would be very cool if they had a mission that was just you taking on a base that has an air field and gunships on station, mortars, and overlapping fields of machine gun and turret fire. Like an honest to god massive military base.
Oh shit! Thicc soloing Fortress 10s with my favorite Dilly/AMR combo! I bring that loadout as sniper support for other folks. Didn't know anyone else used it, especially solo.
I use all kinds of load outs lol. Tbh if I didn't bounce my damn emplacement it would've been easier lol

Three other things that can destroy the detector Tower is both orbital 120 and 380 and the orbital laser unless they've changed that recently

nice material here we have :D. May I recommend using the crossbow for it's phenomenal bot fabrication rapid dissembling capabilities using the vents ? 10/10 content
I think bug mega nest are only difficult because it funnels you into narrow paths and bowls that make running around and kiteing less effective. But the bot fortress has more 1 shot kill potential with all the turrets that can 360 no scope you across the map at times. Also orbitals like the 380 are just more effective vs bots then bug tunnels giving you less easy ways to deal with them quickly.
Generally for attacking any robot structure, ive found that if im taking a riot shield, heavy armor with the extra ammo+reload passive, a rail gun, a cross bow, and the senator i have all the tools I need to solo, with strafing runs to keep me from getting stuck.
I usually just run the servo assisted passive, and toss a 380 barrage into the center of them. Then I'm free to mop up any remaining fabricators and turrets. Don't think I spend much more than 5min on these, unless I'm unlucky with the bot drops or the stratagem bounces.
I always take the AMR so for the bunker hell base I usually post up 200 or more meters away from it and snipe the turrets and either go in later myself or cover my team while they clear it.
The easiest way to destroy a fortress is the high ground & range, with the help of the Gustav or AT turret.
i remember when those Rocket Raider can one shot you and the Rocket Dev spam with unlimited rocket, traumatized

I tried playing lvl 10 for a week then went back to lvl 7. My main hate are the fortress cannons, they are practically invisible and then one shot you. I wish they had red paint on them or something so you can spot them out.
I hope they bring mega bases to difficulty 8 and 9 in the future. I dont like how thy locked them to only 10.
At 9:30 taking out a fabricator with your RR when you have an exposed vent and the crossbow 😞

@thiccfila I find as long as a breach is triggered before getting there and dealing with any bile titans it pretty easy. For most of it's just staying on the move dropping gas nade and juking the AI. If it gets too hot run out and come back in too another entrance.
for me the mega nest is way more easir if u just get a grenade launcher and any shotgun in your lodout whit the omnidirecional shield

Personal shield or shield relay really helps fight being ragdolled if that's your biggest gripe.
