Another Awesome, Awesome video. This type of content is so much more valuable than anything available through the mainstream business media. Thanks Jeff and Herbert!!!
Herbert, you and Jeff give the most articulate and forward looking content around. While it saddens me, it is yet a confirmation of my Tesla thesis, that only a couple hundred people have given a thumbs up. The mass of investors are not paying attention to this amazingly disruptive company. Thank you for your service.
Thanks Herbert for bringing a monumental Jeff Lutz to explain this very sophisticated field that will impact the very essence of Tesla new strategic Robotaxi and Human robots on which Tesla bets its entire future.
Something going on. The director of ARPA-E just said that the Quantum Glass/ Lithium or Salt, and or Graphene battey will 'Win Out'. The three most common materials on Earth. What happened to Jeff Dahn's Mica battery that he said was already tested to 3.7M miles?
Maybe, eventually - but research papers and lab progress mean very little in the battery world - it could easily be a decade before "the winners" actually begin to win...
@30:21 The next leap in AI is not about clustering the biggest coherent cluster, with AI agents a lot of different agents will run in parallel, no coherent cluster needed, Microsoft is probably prepping for that.
You mentioned EOSE their storage batteries have a completely different usage compard to Tesla for various reasons. EOSE stock is currently trading at $5and change with only a 1.3B market cap. This is definately a buyout target for many that need specific lower risk for combustion as well as other signifivant advantages over lithium. There are many that thing one lie when fully ramped is worth $11 to $13. So with 4 lines ramped you are looking at a $40 to $50 stock. For Microsoft or Tesla for that matter this company seems a no brainer to grab while still a fledgling. Jeff Lutz knows that EOSE has massive potential. They have got couple of millitary base projects and there are over 500 bases😮 in just the USA alone.
I hate to say, but a lot of our eco- friendly economy has been so much against mining and refining, and those are 'nasty' industries, so we 'outsourced' it and globalized it. That makes those industries go 'somewhere else'.
When are we going to get the truth on the dry battery cathode? I've heard from Tesla itself that the engineering challenges have been solved. So, why is Jeff saying it hasn't been solved yet. I thought they were already producing them. So confused.
Specifically: how Thor AI computers and the Nvidia omniverse robot training for all other companies would impact Tesla. If these training are good enough, Tesla would be face lots of more other companies.
please explain what companies are involved when I buy Tesla stock. There are several companies under Elon "s control, which companies are / are NOT ,involved when I buy Resla stock? tthanks, I appreciate your channell.
6:45 The reason for the tariffs Jeff is talking about is to promote domestic industry to develop the economy of an undeveloped one. Jeff appears to be simply stating his reaction from the limited perspective of a company who would wish to expand their market and leverage their existing capital investment and ip and does acknowledge the perspective of the country that has a need to elevate it's own economy. A better system of trade between non-peer economies would be designed to get the intrinsic benefits of trade for both sides while avoiding the intrinsic pitfalls of trade between an economy with an asymmetric advantage dominating the other. Intrinsic benefits of trade that benefit all involved include specialization and scale. Both of these result in greater benefit to all consumers of the product. Intrinsic pitfalls of non-peer trade include retardation of development of less developed customer countries and exploitation of very low living standards labour and low standards such as safety and environmental causing loss of industry in more developed countries.
I know compute is interesting, what is STORAGE capitalization? There must be a place to put the data, manage it, back it up, all the data management part, and also there is the networking infrastructure, and also the power (even Elon was saying that transformers are hard to get, whether for data centers, utilities, or for charger sites! ... I would be nice to see how that all is compared to the compute spending.
how many Billons have the legacy car makers spent to oust Tesla/Elon? Do you remember these figures? Plants to produce evs, batteries, ? This is all nothing, just as Jeff says. It is all about what do you get out of it, and how fast.
I wonder if at some point Nvidia will invest in Tesla as it drives their mission directly. The more successful Tesla FSD/Robotaxi is, the more other car companies will need to buy nvidia products. It's a win-win for nvidia.
They ill make a ton of money with legacy carmakers because these are desperate, but it will only last for a shorter time, as many will face bankruptcy nonetheless. Huang is a very smart businessman.
Next time I meet the Brighter with Herbert team, I love to get your autograph. I got a baseball with Elon Signature Perhaps i can bring a baseball and have all of you sign my ball. I got my son a football with Jerry Rice Signature with a Video of the Football being signed by Jerry Rice. So cool. I give you guys my signature cause I was #1 out of 600 engineer with Allen Test Product before Bosch bought SPX then and SPX bought Allen Test Product. These are all companies in the automotive testing equipment like OTC Robinair and Smog Testing equipments. This was the reason that I became interested in BEV. So no matter if a car pass the smogs, they all emit pollution. Now my son and I and many friends have solar roof and all own Teslas
So the tit for tat from the US would be to ban any chip supply to China. We will see how much this escalates. In the end both parties are interested in a solution because both could face huge problems economically and even world economy could collapse, as supply chains are so sensitive.
…. I am very worried about my TSLA. What’s going to happen when we have a megalomaniac president musk? What’s going to happen to my stock if it all goes south, I hold you responsible for not telling us anything on this subject.
ccp banning batteryexport cant be so bad. gives ice producers more time to settle on real geen tech. as long as 1kWh out of a socket costs 3-4 kW of fossil energy a modern ice car with an efficiency of 30-40% @ 5-6 l/100km comes to an aveage of 18-20 kWh/100km which is the same as an ev !!!! only if energy from the charger is produced green does the ev have the edge.
When you look at gaming video cards, they are almosy upsolete after 1 year, so if it takes msft 1 year to build ai center, all the cards they bought are still lagging behind vompare to new cards that are comming up.
You're just an impatient listener. He's one of 2 or 3 people in the Tesla independent (retail) media that have this level of understanding of global supply chains. He provides valuable insight that helps us better understand this risk adjusted investment we've taken on.

When Jeff Lutz speaks, the smart people listen. 💯🇺🇸
His explanations are a big reason I invested in Tesla.

😉
Jeff is still keeping us Brighter in 2025! Thanks for continuing to share his insights with us Herbert!
Jeff brings great insights.
Thank you for this discussion
Thanks herbert and Jeff!!

Jeff the GOAT.
Again, great insights.
Jeff, there are some exceptions happening to cheap US made EVs. The GM Equinox EV starts at $USD 33k.
Thanks yeah. Not profitable so they are capping supply of it… we know this by their public statements
@ oh dear. Thanks for the feedback.

This is why I loves Jeff‘s thinking! Elon and Tesla are on the top…🤷🏽♂️🙏🏼👌🏽
What about Generac Bess ?
What's EOS??????

Tesla is a peaceful army.

Jeff knowledge help my have a good mental health status as a TSLA stockholder 😂

The biggest reason to switch to LiFePO4 is safety. Li-Ion needs to be phase ASAP.
How much independence would the Texas lithium plant provide for Tesla?

Herbert - please comment on Jensen's keynote speech at CES - amazing summary of AI developements.
Coming in a show in a couple of hours
Hey Herbert... need you to cover what Jensen Hwang said in CES yesterday. How does it impact Tesla AV and Optimus?

Hopefully Tesla can invest 5-10 billion in X AI early this year!

Who has the data? For an LLM the user prompts are new data. For Tesla the car makes new data.

Hmm - hello Greenland.
Back Down to 300
Tesla needs to oarner wirh a Canadian Graphite company like neuvou Monde.
We are running out of zink in 10-20 years, so maybe not the best choice.

China isn’t the only place to get these critical minerals. As the Earth was forming it all ended up under what is now China? Pa-lease!
China got a hold on a lot of mines in other countries.
there is only 1 real solution i think, start mining more.
I knew it. I don't buy Tesla stock.

Tesla’s collective demand in 4680 is negligible. Since 2022 Tesla’s growth is negative.
@@VasuJaganath who’s paying you?
You Musk Lover :-)
Jeff Lutz is a terrible speaker. It takes him forever to make sense and get to the point. In fact, he doesn't make any sense.
Answers are full and detailed, much better than sound bites
What are you talking about?????

Don't worry. I agree with you. He is definitely a terrible speaker for anyone that doesn't have an IQ over room temperature. 😂😂😂
