I knew my neighborhood would be on the list and it is very underrated. The rest of them I would definitely agree on. I’ve driven through pretty much all of them but didn’t know the exact names except everyone knows Kirkwood lol. Love your videos. They were helpful in my home search.

Awesome video! I've heard of the Kirkwood neighborhood from watching reality shows that are filmed in Atlanta, but never heard of the other 4 Atlanta neighborhoods until I watched this video. So thank you for talking about them and putting spotlight on them! Keep the videos coming!

You are welcome. And thx for continuing to watch. I may have to do a round 2 of underrated neighborhoods - lots of them go a tad under the radar.

@@AllAboutLivingInAtlanta Yes. A round 2 of underrated Atlanta neighborhoods would be great for people like me that's an outsider. I'm from South Carolina, and my hometown is like almost 3 hours from Atlanta. That's not too far, but far enough lol 😂

I love Atlanta neighborhoods. So much character and beauty! I knew all these beautiful neighborhoods would be on the eastside which is completely out my price range. Also the homes on the eastside are much bigger on average than the westside so I'm sure that is part of it. The westside is barely in my budget but has more home sizes ideal for me. As a single person with a pet, anything between 1100 to 1800 is perfect for me to live in and maintain without feeling overwhelmed

Yeah, the east side does have bigger homes more suitable for families that need the space. And it has just been an area that has been more developed so it costs more. The westside has a lot of those smaller footprint homes - 1200 sq ft so not idea for a family of 6 + 2 dogs! Good for a single person, like you said. They are cheaper but also less development over in some of those areas (depending on where we are talking about). Less grocery stores too...so that makes it hard. We need affordable housing but it seems to be hard to achieve affordable housing plus modern commercial developments to serve those areas - it just costs a lot for land/building materials, etc these days.
