Thanks for your honest perspective. What are the stats of registered voters in Lilburn? Do you have a link yu can share about the current Commissioners?
Thanks for reaching out! I think this form will have that information you are looking for: www.gwinnettcounty.com/static/departments/elections/2024-Election/2024-registered-voters-report.pdf
A few problems I see Lilburn is their development strategy. They haven't been making the wisest decisions, and they are desperate for business, so all throughout the small city, you only see the same Mexican restaurants serving the same food in a very short radius. It's like having 20 Mexican McDonalds all on the same block. There are a few good eats, but having 12 of the same is a waste of space when space is very limited. The landscape and demographics is changing, so I'm not sure the newer residents will appeal to all of the same eats. The schools are pretty good though. A very good thing is that Lilburn is wedged in between Snellville, Tucker, Lawrenceville, and Norcross all of which are building towards Lilburn.
I love your insight! I hope the city of Lilburn is listening to its residents' desires and their development strategy subsequently moves in the right course. Will be interesting to see it play out.
It's like a third world country in most of the smaller shopping centers. I grew up in Snellville/Lilburn during the 80's and 90's, graduated from Brookwood HS and it's amazing how it's changed for the worse.
How are they ruining it? Considering moving with my young family from Los Angeles, I'm genuinely trying to understand what NOT to do. I have family in Smyrna. Lilburn seems like one of the best kept secrets in the country.
@@HurricaneChise I like Lilburn. People are gravitating to places like Suwanee, Johns Creek, and Alpharetta for schools, but Lilburn is still a viable option for families and schools. The location is different, but it could be exactly what people are looking for in relation to proximity to downtown, Stone Mountain, and 85/285 Interstates.

Lilburn is a great city! Maybe not so much? Haha.
What are the downsides? Thinking about moving there with my family.
