dope! I like the idea how u only did one side. I have an idea on the heel part, on the left pair i reveal the "NI" and the right "KE" But am too lazy to DIY for now.
I like that idea take your time because you don’t wanna rub off that Nike. I had to end up touching my Nike up with a small paint brush. This is a time consuming custom but very easy custom.
Great work! Just got these in and started taking some of the paint off right away. This was super helpful and Im Definitely ordering a Dremel. Did that buff wheel come with the kit?
Yes it did come with the kit, be careful that you don’t put a whole in the suede. Take your time. Is you want something a little less abrasive go with a brass brush that word as well. A bit more controllable.
@@abd2112 it’s more of a felt pad for buffing. You could also try a brass brush that worked good for me too. A bit more control with a brush, just make sure you are brushing in one direction with the brass brush.
@@Mapmigi appreciate the reply. Frankly I'm too scared to try myself for the suede part so going to find someone who does customers or take or to a shoe repair shop. Ordered these off StockX last night.
I love this! Definitely going to just do the check and bring the black out. The rest is a little too much for me who’s never done this before. Question, how did you get the NIKE to be black on the back ? Did you have to hand paint it? Or is it naturally black after using The acetone to remove the silver?
I tried to clean the area with acetone as much as possible. I did wipe away the black but then I went back in and touched it up with the Angelou’s black paint. What helped me with the painting was masking a square around the “Nike” to keep the letter crisp.
Were they meant to do this? I was just curious cuz this is just a regular color way, when SB does.it.its usually a special QS color way. And they did this and then dropped the Tom Sach color way. I know the hypes dead on these which never bothers me cuz it means prices are coo, I need a pair of these!! Really dope newer Nike silhouette.
I just sold my pair on eBay. But they were scrapped from the us that why the oversprayed them. Tom didn’t approve of this so Nike had to do something to recoup all the pairs made. After the Japan release it was stopped for America. They never released them and they got the over spray treatment and ended up going straight to outlets.
Nice DIY project. I really like the orange 🤙🏼

@@Mapmigi can you give some detail on what kind of attachment you used on the Dremel? Is it like a sandpaper material or something else?
