I don’t recommend this custom for wear, even with proper preparation these don’t last. Painting white on a red toe takes a lot of coats and can cause cracking. Look on eBay Heritage Jordan 1 and look at the grave yard of cracked Heritage customs.

Anything could be done, but dunks just don’t have a clean cut line. It’s not symmetrical around the ankle.

Look up “neo vintage” it’s the reason why people buy already distressed jeans or buy clothing that have paint on them. It an aesthetic that people want that comes with age but people can’t wait for to happen. Sure it’s easy to buy a used pair but companies make things repetitively and change or tweak things as the years go by. This shoe is supposed to represent an original pair from 1988. A pair from 1988 is very hard to find expensive and not wearable at this point of time because of oxidation. It’s like comparing different years, make, or models of a car. Some people just like the shape of a 1988 more.

A donor can be anything you want, I bought a fairly new shew that was used lightly from eBay. I don’t recommended using something that’s extremely used, could mess with the alignment.

Good question I do ware a thicker sock but it’s not a significant difference in size difference.

I just sold my pair on eBay. But they were scrapped from the us that why the oversprayed them. Tom didn’t approve of this so Nike had to do something to recoup all the pairs made. After the Japan release it was stopped for America. They never released them and they got the over spray treatment and ended up going straight to outlets.

Please take a second to look at eBay under “Air Jordan 1 hertiage custom” you will find there are a graveyard of cracked bred/chi customs. This custom is not for beginners. This custom doesn’t need just acetone or deglazer to make it work, there is a lot more prep that go into these.

​@@Mapmigi I want to do one too. Had painted a few shoes and it came out pretty great with just acetone and didn't came of or wear (I breakdance wearing these). what do you mean more prep? I'd like to know before starting painting.

Unfortunately TH-cam makes money off all my videos I make and I don’t see a dime. The audio is off because I do not have a mic or can’t afford one. That’s why it’s important to appreciate creators and their efforts they put into there videos. Shooting content isn’t just point, shoot, and upload. But I do stride to be better and try to improve on every video.

I’m a 10 I went a full size up and have a skinny foot. I’d recommend for you to do a 11.5. My 11s are still snug but comfortable.

@@squad10konquer88 I don’t recommend this custom be done just by anyone. This custom should cost $300 I charge $200. But this custom can be easily damaged because of all the paint that goes into this custom. To change that red toe box to white takes a lot of paint. That’s a lot of money to waist if you accidentally kick a rock. This take about 4 weeks to be done correctly and can take 1 sec to be destroyed. It’s not worth it to the customer or the customizer. Sorry but there are better ways to get Chicagos and I recommend using a Aj1 “newstalgia” as the base.

@@squad10konquer88 that’s a better choice but you can still scuff them. Your also still looking around the same price. They won’t crack from normal walking the chi or bred. It’s the time that goes into a chi I don’t find fare for a customer or customizer.

Good luck, when you get a sec take a look on eBay for Heritage Jordan 1s and look at how many are on there and also look at the condition they are in. This custom is not for beginners and I don’t recommend to beginners.

You run into the problems of glue and separating the foam from the inner liner. Also the look of the foam is a pure aesthetics thing. It’s suppose to give a DIY cut a sewn look. The proper way to do is a much longer and a harder process. To properly do it, the soles must be removed and the inner liner must be sewn in reverse and then rolled over to give a more factory finish (short version of process). I could do both but this is what my customer requested.
