X1's soundtrack is good and iconic but I push back against the claim that every subsequent game has a worse soundtrack. It shifts dramatically in style after X3 to a more synth-focused sound but I think they're still just as good after that. Heck, the only one I actively don't care for is X3.
That’s fair! Back when we played X1, I had only fully experienced X1 through X3, so I hadn’t heard much of the music from X4 onward. The instruments in X2 and X3 just sound far worse to me than X1’s, like the guitar sounds whinier for lack of a better term. We played through X4 recently and I like its soundtrack much more!

Oddly/Strangely enough, Zero's theme kind of sounds like Mecha Green Hill Zone from Sonic Chaos.

@@PyeFive Oh yeah, the guitars are a definite downgrade, I don't know why they changed to a different sample. And X4's music is great!
