      I like the theory that in the previous ant man movies she hadn’t had the encounter with Kang, which is why she never told anybody, but that once He Who Remains was killed outside of Time in Loki it had a retroactive effect even on the main MCU timeline, making it so that Janet had met a Kang who was now in the Quantum Realm.
      So while she does hide things in this movie, she wasn’t hiding it in the last movie because it hadn’t happened.

They literally just had to leave him there and he'd die of old age eventually.

    • @brianburkhardt3692
      @brianburkhardt3692 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@pegasusj4655 yeah, she gets saved from the Quantum Realm in probably the last third of the movie (it’s not the very end, but it is toward the end). But that’s before Endgame and the time Heist when 2012 Loki escapes, setting in motion the events of Loki and removal of He Who Remains. So, going by that theory, she didn’t know about Kang until after being saved and the events of Endgame.
      She wasn’t against going back into the QR at the end of Ant Man & The Wasp to collect particles for Ghost. It could be that it wasn’t deep enough to warrant her worrying, or it could be that at that point she had no reason to worry.
      He Who Remains says that he has been keeping the other Kangs from appearing in the sacred (main MCU) timeline. So if that were true, then the outcast Kang and the rest of the council in this movie didn’t exist. Once he was killed by Sylvie, the other Kangs popped into existence at all points in time they would have been had HWR not pruned their existence. So it’s only after his death that Janet meeting a Kang can even happen, therefor it is almost certain that she had not met a Kang in the previous movie, and only after Loki does she retroactively have met him and have reason to worry about him finding her again.

    It's no coincidence that Kang's suit looks like Doctor Doom. In the comics he originated in the future as a scientist (relayed by He Who Remains) who discovers Doom tech, and uses it to time travel. He believes he is a descendant of both Victor von Doom and Nathaniel Richards (his namesake, and son of Reed and Sue).

    People say that Kang in Quantumania was underwhelming, and I could see that the first part, but in reality Kang is weakened in this film. A lot of people don't really understand that. Kang is weakened because he is in the Quantumn Realm. Now, if Kang was outside of the Quantumn Realm and had access to time, then Kang would have been more capable and more powerful like traveling through time, manipulating time, and summoning any weapon from any point in time just like in the comics.
    And I liked how they did this because it proves that a weak Kang, or even the weakest Kang, can be a big threat, like how Kang conquered the Quantumn Realm, like a whole dimension basically, a weakened Kang conquered a whole dimension. It just goes to show the capability of Kang, and I hope that they can expand on this Kang stuff like every Kang after the one in Quantumania will be stronger and stronger just showing the danger of Kang as a whole.

      Finally, someone who understands! Is this movie perfect and qualified to be a masterpiece? Probably not. However, people don’t seem to understand how characters like Kang, Ironman, Doctor Doom, etc. archetypes work. The tech-based characters abilities can allow them to jump tiers depending on the amount of preparation time and resources that they have. Their whole shtick with these types of characters is that their successes and victories are very dependent on their prep time, the amount of technological resources they have, etc. Iron man’s standard armour for example, wouldnt stand a chance against the hulk. However, with Hulkbuster, he is able to hold his own against the Hulk, even if he isn’t able to beat him.
      Doctor Doom with prep time and resources, has often absorbed the powers of other beings in the comics.
      This is a Kang who was banished, meaning that he had to be stripped of all the actual important technology. After all, what fool would banish and seal someone while giving them all the resources they need to escape? Plus as you said, its more cooler to realize that this is what Kang could do, with the limited amount of resources he had access to. Imagine if he had access to ALL and I mean, ALL his resources. THAT would be Kang at his most dangerous.
      I know the movie isnt perfect but why dont people seem to understand this? The fact that Ant man could solo a heavily handicapped Kang, is actually an impressive feat for Ant Man and not a disappointing record for Kang. Ant man is always severely underestimated by the audience themselves. Why is it to unfathomable that Ant Man could hold his own like that in the movie? In the comics, he has grown big enough to enter a different dimension if I recall correctly. He is just as much of a threat as Thor or the Hulk. So we shouldnt even be saying, “How could ant man of all people beat Kang”. Instead we should be saying, “Finally, the movie shows just how OP and Hax and Busted Ant man’s abilities can be”.

      But what i think is interesting is that this kang is stuck in a probability storm... maybe when he's able to finally come to terms with all the other probability kangs of himself, the ONLY ONE who survives it is the "ultimate kang the conqueror" who has "beat all the odds" and is the real threat since he's lived against all other iterations and came out on top, like a simulation, and i think what Eric Vauss said about antman being stuck in a probability storm with kang right now also is interesting maybe, him and hope never got out of the quantum world, and they're stuck in that simulation loop or whatever until one of them breaks out the other.

    There’s a theory that up until the version of Kang in season 1 of Loki (He Who Remains) was killed, the events of Janet in the quantum realm were different. She hadn’t met a Kang variant because HWR wasn’t letting any others exist.
    Then once he died the variants immediately came into points in time (even the main timeline) where they had not been before. This changed Janets past so that now she had met with a Kang and all the background from this movie. She didn’t know about him in the last movie, she knew at the start of this but didn’t know that Hank and Cassie were contacting the Quantum Realm. As soon as she finds out she wants them to stop.

  • @BibleAlivePresentations
    @BibleAlivePresentations ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for this reaction.
    Important things to keep track of going forward in THE MULTIVERSE SAGA:
    1. All Kangs are variants of 31st-century scientist Nathaniel Richards, descendent of 20th-century Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, the leader of the Fantastic Four.
    2. In the 31st-century, Nathaniel Richards discovered (not invented) the Space-Time Platform of the most dangerous person ever to walk the earth, Victor Von Doom. We have seen this devise, or advanced versions of it, used repeatedly throughout THE MULTIVERSE SAGA: LOKI SE01, it is used by both the TVA and by He-Who-Remains. In DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS, Earth-838 Reed Richards enters the Illuminati Hall by means of it (confirmed by writer Michael Waldron as being Doom's invention). At the end of QUANTUMANIA, we see all Kang-variants using this device. Therefore, all of the Kangs owe their claim to fame to Doctor Doom.
    4. It is very likely that Doom will discover that future descendent of his hated enemy, Reed Richards, is dominating the Multiverse by means of his greatest invention. This will be intolerable for Doom. He will probably discover this from the Loki-variant who is seeking a way to stop all the Kangs. Loki will discover the prime-Kang Nathaniel Richards and his 31st-century find of Doom time-travel tech, and will seek Doom out by means of the TVA. This is likely how Doom learns about the Kangs.
    5. Upon learning about the Kangs and their transtemporal, Multiversal dynastic reign, Doom will spend all his thought into preparing to usurp their rule. The Kangs become his greatest priority. This explains Doom's absence during the Battle of NY, the Battle of Sokovia, the Battle for Earth on the Hudson Valley, NY, the Emergence of the Celestial Tiamut, and the secret invasion of the Skrulls.
    6. In addition to being an almost unmatched scientific and technological genius, Doom is also a powerful and learned sorcerer, the greatest student of Cogliostro. His mother Cynthia was a witch. Therefore Doom knows well of the Darkhold and its prophecy regarding the Scarlet Witch.
    7. To destroy the Dynasty of Kangs, Doom will use his Space-Time Platform to prevent Wanda Maximoff's suicide at Wundagor.
    8. Doom will convince and use Wanda to obliterate every Kang in every universe as easily as she did to every Darkhold.
    9. Dispatching the Kangs will trigger the Final Wave of Incursions annihilating the Multiverse. But Doom, Strange, and Wanda create Battleworld from salvaged pieces of dead universes, and Doom becomes God for AVENGERS SECRET WARS.
    Probably.

    For me personally, I assumed she and Kang had been a thing. It made sense to me, they spent a bunch of time together, he’s pissed at her, she came back alone, and she didn’t wanna say anything. Obviously, she wouldn’t want her family to know she caught feelings for a guy who’s slaughtered trillions and destroyed entire timelines and universes. And he was so angry at her cause she betrayed him after he had gained…some sort of feelings for her, at least enough to promise to make an exception for her universe to whatever his goal was. Then they made it more obvious her and Murray were a thing and I was…sadly disappointed😀🫠🫠. I feel like her and Kang would’ve been much better plotwise

    The Pharaoh Kang is Rama Tut - first appeared in FF#19 (1963), Kang first appeared in Avengers #8 (1964) sometimes considered/suspected of being versions of Doctor Doom - they use the same time technology (the light square that "beams them up"). Take a look back at Multiverse of Madness - that's exactly how Reed Richards appears when he joins the Illuminati council for the trial of Doctor Strange.
