Those players going to LIV actually helped the pga players MAKE MORE MONEY!! Why doesn't anyone mention that!

Leafs can try to get an exemption for him to play in the AHL. The Kraken did it for Shane Wright.

As much as I wish we could I think they only granted that exception because COVID caused Wright to miss a bunch of games that had he played he would've been eligible for the AHL. The exception wasn't based on quality of play, but rather extenuating circumstances. It should be an option though, and hopefully with this upcoming potential CHL and NCAA merger things could change with how this works.

Marner played one season in the ohl after being drafted, then came into the nhl and was a 60 point player in year one, cowen is putting up even crazier numbers and the difference between him and marner is that hes a bulldog

The difference between Marner is that Easton is a true Cowboy!

Wasn't Mitch part of the MTHL or GTHL or whatever the fuck it's called? Usually they go to the OHL for a few seasons before you're ready for the big leagues. Was he a late bloomer and drafted when he was older?

@MisterMister5893 don't think so , he was drafted at 18 and sent back for one season where he dominated, next year we took matthews and that year all 3 of marner matthews and nylander were on the team full time and they made the playoffs.

I agree. They were comparing him to Marner’s situation, but it’s even better for Cowan, because there are 6-7 players ahead of him on, where as when Marner came, they were bad and he flew up the line up. Wish the Canucks drafted Cowan.

Everybody in hockey media just glances over FL. They talk endlessly about NY and Boston before them. How has Forsling’s Lidstrom 2.0 performance not been a major talking point? SN, TNT, ESPN, TSN. This guy has been the best defenseman in the Eastern Conference and gets almost no coverage.
