Eh... with some mods that drastically increase cooling? Maybe. I'm still not convinced the GR Corolla was ever fully tested for track use. It's got too many issues for that to have been the case, and I say this as someone who really likes the idea of this car and what it represents. On a backroad that's wet or snowy, this thing will be great. Even on dry pavement, it certainly wouldn't be bad. On a track, though, with even normal use after a couple laps? No. Not really. I've seen and heard the stories.
Top gear Australia tested one on track against the new type r and it even came in slower than an i20n. They definitely need a bit more power to live up to the full potential
@@Magicwand08 I would agree with you if this was the GR Yaris. It isn't. It's an AWD hot hatch that's based on the $20k Corolla platform. It was fundamentally designed to be a road car for daily use, as well as some spirited driving. Toyota knew for a fact that people would track this car; hence them offering the Morizo Edition for people who want that much more performance on track. The major issue with the car is that it isn't built well enough to handle track use (even including the Morizo Edition). Like I said already: even normal track use (seven tenths to eight tenths) is going to result in this car overheating and showing major signs of performance degradation. You simply can't track it reliably. I wish you could, but the reality is that you cannot. The GR Corolla is a backroads monster and seems to be amazing in snowy conditions, but on track, it falls short in many key areas. I have a 24 GRC premium and love it, If you want to pep it up the car really likes a downpipe and a tune. Heat soak is a big problem with the stock intercooler so upgrading that helps too. Other bolts ons will get more power like an intake but you can put a performance filter on the stock box and a Velossa Tech snorkel and the stock box does well. Catbacks dont seem to gain much when it comes to power but the stock catback is heavy and there's lighter options aftermarket. Ohlins is getting their coilovers ready to come to market and we hope to see them available by late August or September if you want a better shock and spring setup. You may want to break open the head and put different valve springs in the motor if you really push it because valve float becomes a problem once you start getting asking for more power.

wear it then :)
same i fuckin hate it 😂
Right! You can't move six inches and that thing goes off.
@@bongboy5275 you can’t even roll out of the parking space without it assaulting your ears. A normal person takes a few seconds to put their seatbelt on at the begging of their drive. The car gives you zero leeway.
I bought a reader to remove it😂
You should put some rumble strips where the grass is that would be cool
Ayyyy hatchback content, im excited
Dude this is great... This is the kind of content I waited for. Lots of people is already doing the JDM Imports, so doing something like this is different
your car reviews are good you give different better perspectives on cars than other reviewers. keep at it.
That pinstripe has got to gooooo
Yeet the stickers on the side skirts too
I had a fiesta st and loved it besides the lemon transmissions. That thing should be killer. Left-foot brake to counter the push if you can't get the bias right.
Excited to see what you do with the GR!
If I was in that car I would be listening to the song “Dupe - Mbappe” 😅😅
Why?
@@codyrebelcb
Hopefully it doesn’t go up in flames
Be careful, it might catch on fire
This is REALLY SUPER SMART of you to have a car many can actually relate to/with... you should do all the normal things but still keep it relatable... bigger turbo, tune but keep it street worthy
I fell like the rwd and awd corollas have a certain feel to them that just makes you happy. Even if they’re not the fastest or the coolest car there’s just that giddy feeling that you’re sliding around a grandma car and it’s ridiculously fun. And I feel like that goes back even to the ke20s
I'm glad the stripes going lol.
Having had a GR Yaris CP, it was hands the most fun car I have had (pretty well suited to uk roads) it's great to see you enjoying it's big brother.
I'm very stoked on this car. I've seen them and wanted to know if they're worth looking into, so thaaanks. For future video ideas, maybe since its a car from a price range that's tangible for people, do video's starting with cheap mods that are doable for average or starting car enthusiasts and then work up to the top notch super mods to see how far the car can go. Each step you can do laps and/or dyno to measure improvements. It'd be good for science and relatable for people who can dip their toes in car projects to see whats really worth the money. Thanks for the content!
So hyped you bought this. Hopefully you’re part of pushing this car to its limits in the industry.
Welcome to the family!!!! YOU WILL WANT TO CHAT WITH HKS!!!! how does "1.78L crate engine with prechambers" sound?
Track is 50/50. You need to hold the traction button 4 sec so EXPERT disappears.
The car rotates super easy when in track mode if you show the pedal where the firewall is!!!
4 wheel powerslides ALL DAY!!!!!
I now have 8937km on mine. Best car I've ever owned. The way it finds traction everywhere unless you yank it around... like its on rails!
And yeah that Bass-drop doesnt get old for me.
If you pin open the valve in the exhaust it gets a little more bass at low rpm too
The Smiles Per Gallon on these lil cars is def up there! Congrats!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE COROLLA CONTENT! LITERALLY MY DREAM HATCHBACK
I saw the name of the video and I couldnt wait , saying we wouldnt be stocked it's so wrong , the Corolla is the most anticipated car in the USA at the moment . I can't describe how much I'm excited
Congrats on the purchase! I love mine, it's such a rowdy car. May not have the best performance, but it always puts a smile on my face.
I love pinstripes. That one doesn't work.
I absolutely love the Corollas and I’m very excited for the journey with this one
You complaining about the seating position reminded me why I love my G37, telescopic steering wheel and seats that will adjust in almost every makes it easy to be comfortable
Honestly one of the most trusted car opinions for a “review “
Weird to think this is a brand new car and there is a dip in the leather on the middle seat/arm rest in the back. Only just noticed this at 6:50
I’m fired up to see content on the GR Corolla and all of the mods you’re going to do to it.
Excited to see what you do with this one!
LZ you should definitely Varis widebody kit , engine upgrades , bigger intercooler & exhaust , suspension & wheels make it a absolute ripper call it done and enjoy 👌👍
I love my 2023 Corolla GR Core I have a SXTH Intercooler and full custom charge pipes hot & cold side. On a Mustang dyno it made 303whp and 310wtq. Fun cars!!!
so what are the hp?
I love the way you do your VEHICLE description owner review .... lol Quirks and features. I'm actually about to order the 2025 GR COROLLA. LOL my 1st car was a 1991 mazda 323 only a decade after I sold it did I find out mazda made a 4wd turbo (rear axle 60%+ torq ) 323 !!!!! Love the CONTENT SIR LZ... KEEP IT UP . BEEN A SUB OF U AN COLETTE FOR *EVER*
I’m actually stoked what you’ll be doing with this project! Definitely curious if that linear power will change with a semi-aggressive tune.
I’m hyped for this Corolla GR man can’t wait for the vids
I have a 2024 Gr Corolla. Also a 2jz swap 300zx that is 950whp.
The corolla is what I find myself in more. It’s such a fun car.
Can’t wait to see what Adam does with the platform. 💪💪💪
I'm personally really excited about this car on the channel. I think they are great out of the box and intrigued to see where you go with it on the channel. Definitely need more boost 😅 I know people in the UK are getting serious power from the gr yaris
I would love to see you do a series showing the impact to times with each mod and showing the best bang for the buck!
Its a road production rally car so it wont drift unless your on gravel. Pro tip when you rip the e break it disengages drive to the rear..... its a rally car!! Great vid man
I bought my GR Corolla Circuit Edition a month ago. I absolutely love it and it’s one of the best driving cars I’ve ever owned and driven out of the box! I’ve had almost every era of M cars from E36 up to the F82 M4 and literally was looking at a 2023 M3 with 1,000 miles on it and I chose the GR circuit over that. Half the price and not as fast but just as good! And I paid msrp for it!
Seats look great, I agree about the roof, when I first saw it I thought it was just dirty from sitting on the lot. Congrats!
I'm calling it. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
i love this car and im really looking forward to a series about it
frs/gt86 always need an alignment change from stock before they can really drive right, the stock alignment gives a lot of under steer, idk how the gr86 or corolla is but i wouldnt be surprised if it needed something similar.
I’m super pumped about this purchase I was just talking about how I wanted one because of the usability of being a hatch and the handling plus ima Honda guy so I love small engine that make a lot of power so congrats Adam can’t wait to see what you do with yours
I love seeing Mike..!! Just because he's always behind the Camara..Mike have great style love ya Mike!!
I like hearing your car reviews… I’m the same way when I get a new car there is like 6 little tiny things about the car that drive me crazy so I like to hear those little details
Best car review I've seen in a while.
I switched out the sport tach for the normal tach in the settings almost immediately. I put the morizo shif knob in for more weight behind the throw. 1 inch lift springs from eibach 👍 TURN OFF EXPERT MODE on gravel, that will disable all the traction.
Great time as always. I’m beyond excited for August
It’s almost impossible to unstick them in the dry, but they dominate in the wet. The moment you remove the grip the car comes alive. Rather quick on a road course too. I appreciate your review style, you got straight to the things that matter.
i love the way you do car reviews you look at different stuff then normal but it is stuff that I would look at
Yooooo! You bought that GR Corolla right around the corner from me!
New to your channel, and I finally get to hear/see some reviews on this car. Thanks!
Cat back, tune, wheels and tires you should do
This white circuit edition is the exact option is what I was on the wait list for when it first came out but life had different plans. Stoked to see how this turns out
I’m excited for the videos that will come out for the GRC I just got a Circuit Edition about a month ago and I love it extremely fun car to drive around specially here in LI NY
Congrats brother! That is an AMAZING car! Enjoy!
