    Hello ! Hydrargyrum here for the 2nd game. Thanks Cobrak for the cast.
    I know it's not perfect but let me explain some of my decisions.
    First I'm sorry for the first waps rounds, I wanted to delayed anti air on arcy as long as possible because I needed money and I was ready to lose few HP. The first missile on both towers were for them.
    The orbital javelin was a blessing. I could have taken down more units with it but my priority was to take down the 2 donuts to save my crawlers, which did a nice job.
    About the anti chaff, I did some donuts instead of vulcans because they are less vulnerable to fortress and cheaper. Then I thought about vulcans for many rounds but I didn't want to burn my own crawlers and I had to do things like photon on overlord to protect from ignite. At the end, I put the vulcans so far back so they let my own crawlers alive and they can live long enough to burn the last of his fangs.

      Brillant match between you and opponent. Maybe next time go with vulcans sooner to see if that helps.

    The Steel Balls without Crawlers reminded me of a recent match I played. I like to play against the AI with commander XP set to 100,000 so the game is guaranteed over a dozen rounds. I realized units only earn XP from kills and not damage, so I created a plan to just not lose any units. I restarted until I got defense specialist against cost control specialist and had steel balls as a starting unit. I went early damage sharing tech. A couple dozen rounds later the enemy isn't even scratching my frontline Steel Balls even with Melting Points and Scorpions because the Balls are level 9 with linking, armor, absorption, and heavy target as well as the super heavy armor equipment, while every enemy is level 1 other than those from unit cards (admittedly I had to buy a hacker to deal with a very high level Rhino with Final Blitz).

    This was long term unwinnable once giant hunter came out. 800 income diff by the end...

      I mean if the guy avoided picking Vulcans at the end i dont think it would have matterd....

      Forts were actually winning and more forts means more fangs means more arcs destroyed which leads to victory. All what red needed was some units with higher range than those fangs to do some hp dmg. Imagine WF with anti missile, then those vulcans would do nothing and due to fangs WF would survive. Or EMP stormies or long range phx or anything with range.
      Problem with strategy (carry arc/wasps) is: at some point your number of arclights aint gonna be enough and you cant win anymore because you cant built more units because they are scaling with their lvls, unlike forts where they scale with how many of them you have.
      This game proved it, Arclights were winning until there was enough forts(fangs) and then they begun losing and when this happens you know (as a fort guy) you are vulnerable to fire and you need units to survive to do some dmg to his HP, so WF with range and missile interceptor is future proof - they do both.
      Also if u wont go carry unit, game will end around round7, because when u find counter in any giant unit, you add more and boom in one round you can do even 4k dmg, but with carry units you have everything as chaff and you might be able to win all the rounds but doing very little dmg and there will be one round (EMP card or something) which would make you lose one round (entire game).
      Blue had 700hp left. If red had range on forts instead of punch (which did nothing). He would win maybe at round 10-11. Or if at round 12 he build 2x giants (or WF with range) with bigger range than fangs, or 3x scorpions. It would be GG.
      Half a year ago when I didnt understand game much, I always thought those arclights or marksman are super strong. But lately I can see all its flaws and its limits - just how fragile they are.
      Yes if blue used those extra credits from giant killer on fire at round 7-8 he would win at round 10 where his arcs were still winning.
      TL:DR red has a lot of chaff and he was relying on chaff to do dmg. Dmg long range units were missing.

    Game2: I just love how you were mocking that missile, but it always hit lvl2 crawlers (I dont think he planned to do that with first missile).

    Hackers are IMHO a really good counter to carry Arclights. Multi-target Hackers in the first match to yoink all those Mech Div Balls and then yoink the Arcs while they're dealing with the Balls and Crawlers, and Heavy Hacker with Range for the 2nd match on red side instead of doing that silly debt spend on Fang Production.

      red had A LOT OF chaff - forts and fangs. 1x lvl1 phoenix with emp and range. And red would win. or range on forts instead of punch - so forts would stay behind fangs or not going for range fangs.)

    I had maxed out 193m range sniper arclights the other day lol. Elite marksman + extended range + more extended range + charged attack + aerial spec

    This game needs more customization of units to allow for more goofing off and trying crazy stuff like this. Meta's are boring.
