loosing to a double rebound 20mm is a really funny way to go
The angle was perfect. Though I most say I'm amazed at Tar's endurance given the second fight and then being down a teammate due to a drunk nuke. The APM requirements got to the eventually.
Buster 20mms go hard to , why does no one use Buster anymore

not only does that have to be the most devistating shot in fpl, its done with a harassment weapon. tar mvp

I honestly couldn't understand Gyaat during that fight. Why, when you have bout loads of resources, are you not reinforcing your defenses? Why aren't you putting bracing behind your gun towers to prevent them from collapsing, as seen with that shot? Why risk it at all in such a silly way?
Honestly I feel this is less of Tar being mvp and more so Gyaat falling to their hubris. Tar played great, but that shot in particular was fueled more by luck and Gyaat's defensive incompetency than his skill.
The base just *disintegrating* in that first match was a nice display of this game's physics engine.

Felt like the second game showed who deserved to win. Doorsnip tried a ballsy (pun intended) shenanigan, it backfired and they STILL nearly won it. After that it was completely unsurprising they made quick work of the other team in third game.
Doorsnip held on well, while GYAAAT failed to take out enough economy.

And once again, we are all reminded of the dangers of keeping batteries near the core.
That was just compensation for the 13% core preventing victory earlyer

Holy shit, this is the most forts display of forts I've seen in a looong time. Core swings, drunk nukes, nuke door snipes. Both these teams really showed that they're worth cheering for.
I am not cheering for Door Snip. I have no respect for what they did on round 2, the one player practically threw the game and the other put himself in a position that was extremely safe.

@@colby1398 water polo players hit each other under the water line, you can use your elbows to hold the tower in jenga, switching hands in snooker, oblique kicks in UFC, side stepping in sumo. None of these things are against the rules in their respective sports, but its not cool.
If you are going to play on a competitive stage, you should probably not make a move that puts you at an advantage over the other players.

The commander choice for map 2..... was actually brilliant.
This is hands down the greatest series in FPL ever casted, as well as the perfect argument against matches having time limits. May god bless the core swing… and save our souls

I completely disagree. The swinging generators in round two soured the entire set between the two teams. I don’t believe Door Snip earned that victory in the end. They won fair and square, but they don’t have my respect.

When you open yourself to competitive tournaments generally that includes good sportsmanship behaviour, the move they made was well within the rules and the scope of the game, it just wasn’t cool.
@@korniestpatch it was cool. it was a high-risk, high-reward strategy which set them back substantially even as it granted them near-immunity from direct-fire weapons. it took skill and timing to pull off, and one of them didn't manage to. and plus, it didn't even get them a victory in that game. so they absolutely earned that win

what about Tar's buzzsaws, the man did insane amounts of damage with those things, taking out so many of red team's weapons.
Pravus, you NEED to put that second game into an archive, or some kind of hall of fame, it is too good to be in just one video.
The second game had amazing moments of teamwork on both sides

The triple Howatzer is like watching Madara bringing the meteors: Took the lads everything they had to defend against the first one, and suddently there was a second.
But then, a third.
The second match might have been the best match I have ever watched.

Two days in a row we get some of the best forts content I’ve seen. Especially today, an hour long core swing round. The sheer amount of firepower and damage in that second round is where forts really shines the most. I don’t even have words for how great of a spectacle this match was.
this league has given us some of the best games of Forts I've ever seen. I love the fact that the format allows for players to play games on their own time rather than a few set events. I feel like that has had a large impact in the quality of the games, since it feels like players are less stressed, and more willing to do fancy and amazing things

The last match was fucking insane! The amount of "OHHHH". Just a fucking bare knuckle brawl after a long war of attrition. Such amazing matches from these two teams.

This had so many twists and turns. It even ended on a 20mm getting reflected twice into a battery. It's nice to see players using goofy strats, even if it doesn't always pay off.

This has got to be the single most satisfying and most painful sequence in the history of Forts Pro League. What an insane match from start to finish!!

This was the best match of forts I have ever seen.
I was rooting for tar so much in the 2nd round.

That 2nd match was great, an amazing swing by Tar, lots of big losses on both sides across the match, that collapse that made butter dog lose 10+ weapons and a lot of eco, and somehow machine guns and buzzsaws consistently defending vs 4 howis. If Door Snip had 1 or 2 more lucky shots earlier on they could have won that, despite being behind for most of the match
The price tag of receiving a perfect buzz: Cannon (x5), Howie (x4), Tech (x3), Mine (x6) and Turbine (x27).
now i understand why i was recomended this video as these games were insane! i learned a ton about the game and seeing the entire base desintegrate before our eyes was beutiful!
Why did Gyaat build multiple barrels? They ended up chaining into a devastating explosion, and I don't think there's any benefit?
I love these longer matches so much, I was so excited to wake up to this video!

I tried it a a few years ago, but the controls felt too janky for me and there weren’t enough matches going on to keep me interested in it so I gave it up. Now I just keep watching the channel that got me interested in it in the first place now and again.
Very entertaining to watch you guys battle. I can almost get emotional too. Always routing for the losing team.

i was here btw lol, everyone of us was in a vc, like it was so long. Butterdog sounded so dead in vc in the 3rd match, like he lost all motivation. Jim wanted to poke him but tar killed him, thats why he lasted so long, jim wasnt trying to kill him, but just to torture him slowly

My peanut brigade commentary for Match 1:
14:40 I think you're wrong about the rockets. Pay attention to the firing order on Jim's side as soon as he gets his first howitzer online.
He always leads with at least one volley of rockets to make his enemy's anti-air fire prematurely and leaving it on cooldown for when Jim fires his howitzer. This ultimately leads to a situation where Gengar falls behind economically, because while most of the howie hits are against cheap wooden padding, the sheer volume of damage adds up, and lets Jim leverage his economic advantage long enough to get multiple howies operational, which wins his team the game.
Poor Tar had to endure a withering 2vs1 for most of that, and cut it close with the reaper on more than one occaision, but he made it all the same.
An excellent match that could have gone either way, with no glaringly awful mistakes made.
Letting Jim build up may seem like a glaring error in strategy, but I see it as the cost of going after Tar to eliminate them early. Had that paid off, the resulting 2vs1 against Jim would have seen him ground down eventually, barring some hail-Mary miracle shot with his howitzer.

I'm gonna say it. If you swing your core, you get style point in my book. Also, I wouldn't call it a "meme" considering the guy who successfully did it managed to survive for 40 some odd minutes and took out an enemy core.
