LOVE Cyndi, and "When U were mine" has always been one of my favorites. She really made Prince's song her own. And that performance, her style... perfection.
Magic. I worshipped Cyndi, to the point that I wanted to be her, she just embodied perfection in my eyes. I still love her to bits, although I'm pretty happy to be me now, lol. That performance with Patti was amazing. Thank you so much , you brightened up my day again. ❤
This woman is a goddess. I saw her live in 1995 about 3 weeks before my son was born and you can bet he was dancing along inside me with the rest of the crowd!!
I love Cyndi. I liked her since one of her concerts from Paris was on TV about 1988/89. I went and bought all her albums after seeing how amazing she was live. An amazing singer and entertainer. One of her performances here are from that Paris concert. Also FYI When you were mine is actually a Prince song. She did a cover version. It was on her first album. ❤️❤️🎶🎶🎵🎵🔥🔥💯💯❤️❤️
I have seen her live 4 times and let me tell you hearing her sing live is an experience you feel in your bones. One time she was Tina Turners opening act in the late 90s and Cyndi kept up with Tina's energy.
I read a long time ago that Cyndi got most of her wardrobe from thrift stores. I doubt that remained true once she made it really big, but I always thought that was really cool. Love her and you!

Before musical fame she attended and flunked out of art school, fact. And I was a cutter as a teen. When this aired and watched I was hospitalized. For me, the splashing paint evoked the feeling I got from seeing my blood, as if the pain and the emotion got to be on the outside and not kept inside. It was a powerful artistic interpretation.
There is a video on YT of Cyndi performing a Joni Mitchell song (Carey) live at a tribute concert. Nothing short of brilliant. She stole the show in my opinion.

She won two awards that night, best female vocal and best female video, after this performance and show, she and 44 other artists went to record We are the World. 2. Time After Time: She and Patti performed this song again in 2004 for VH1's Divas Live. It's somewhere in here in TH-cam land. 3. Goonies: the outfit in that performance is same as Change of Heart video. the Jacket that you liked is a replica of the Jacket worn by Jimi Hendrix. 4. She Bop: There is yet another official video for this song but acoustic...from her CD collection "The Body Acoustic"

If I Could Turn Back Time, at the Kennedy Center Honors for Cher. Hey Bulldog/Working Class Hero, Jhon Lennon Memorial Concert, Cary, Joni Mitchell Tribute. Or, Just watch these available concerts: Live in Paris, Showtime Mini Concert, Live at Last, Live at the Tokyo Budokan 1986, Live in Romania, Boston Pops Fourth of July 2001. Thats a big time investment, but even if you don't make any reaction videos, I guarantee you won't be wasting your time. She's one of the best live performers EVER.
