I have a massive collection of hundreds of perfumes just like Ksenja does and I wanted to share my personal "gatekept" perfumes here in the comment section. I'm no influencer, with no platform, so I thought using the comment section on a related video would be a fun way to give my gatekept fragrances some visibility too.
Grain de Soleil by Fragonard. Smells SO CLOSE to the now discontinued Alien Essence Absolue, but it's smoother and more creamier than Alien Essence Absolue. It is a gem that no one talks about. In my top 5 for life. I bought this after desperately searching for an Alien Essence Absolue replacement for months and I literally cried from joy when I sprayed this.
Ancient Amber by Be Layered. It's a one note amber fragrance. To me, it literally smells like cream soda + amber. It's super gourmand, sweet, and it's just the sweetest, most delicious amber. I don't know why but it just reminds me of cream soda every time. Like a very rich, dark, syrupy and deep cream soda, if that makes sense.
Nomade Jasmin Naturel Intense by Chloé. I always see this Nomade flanker not get talked about nearly as much as the main Nomade. This flanker has some of the most gorgeous jasmine in here. Coupled with the dates in here, imagine eating luscious and delicious gourmand dates while smelling the most intoxicating, exotic jasmine. It's incredibly stunning.
Sun by Jil Sander. Why does no one here talks about this?? I think it's more popular in Europe. Anyway, it smells like sunscreen, like a day at the beach, and invokes a similar feeling as J Lo's Miami Glow does. This is a heavier, more vintage take on a sunscreen-y type of scent, though, which might not be everyone's cup of tea.
Kelly Caleche Eau de Parfum by Hermès. A more pristine, cleaned up version of their arguably "dirtier" EDT version. I rarely hear this one talked about. It sort of has a Coco Mademoiselle vibe going on but it's so different, but they're cousin fragrances. It's bright, gorgeous, and the leather note in here is like having an essence of a high end leather purse or glove. The EDT's leather is far more unruly.
Stash by SJP smells A LOT like Tom Ford's Santal Blush. So much so that I'm actually wearing Santal Blush as we speak and find the similarities too uncanny. This won't be for everyone, but for those who love Santal Blush by Tom Ford, this scratches that itch. I don't see it talked about that often and it can be found for super cheap.
Iris Crush by Jimmy Choo reminds me a lot of the now discontinued Lipstick On by Maison Martin Margiela, but dare I say it... I think Iris Crush is even better.
Tamarindo by Memo Paris. I hear people talk about so many Memo Paris fragrances but this almost never seems to be brought up. It's one of my all time favorites. I can't even describe how stunning it is, and criminally underrated in the Memo Paris lineup. Sweet, tropical, fruity, with some spicy notes to ground it and some patchouli in the base, although to my nose the patchouli is very refined and well blended here.
Poppy by Coach. I love Coach Poppy! An oldie but a goodie. Someone gave this to me as a gift over ten years ago and I've had it in my collection ever since, and I have backup bottles because that's how much I adore it. It says poppy in the name, but I always get told I smell like watermelon jolly ranchers, in the best way possible.
Kathleen Lights introduced me to Gucci II, her favorite perfume, which is now discontinued. I got it back in the day, fell in love, and was devastated when Gucci discontinued Gucci II. In my search, I found a ton of people saying that a perfume called Eclat No 222 smells just like it, and oh boy, they were right. It's a German brand, I think, and so it took a second to get here, but when I got it, I screamed at how close this smelled to Gucci II. I literally couldn't believe it.
Casmir by Chopard. I rarely hear this one talked about. It is a delicious peach fragrance with jasmine, florals, a very soft and powdery vanilla. It's not a very bold fragrance but it's effortlessly gorgeous, soft, and very "pretty" smelling while also being reminiscent of something an exotic princess would wear. I love this one so much, too. I could just sniff the nozzle of this perfume for hours and get lost in a trance.
Star by Mauboussin. Very sweet, unisex, a bit gourmand. It's somewhat reminiscent of By the Fireplace, but also not. It's its own thing for sure. It honestly reminds me also a bit of Kilian's Princess. It's not nearly as thick and heavy on the smoky aspect as By the Fireplace is. It has fig, coconut, iris, vanilla, tonka bean, praline, woody notes, etc. So while it has some of the vibes of By the Fireplace, it obviously has completely different notes. It's far more wearable as an every day scent than By the Fireplace. It's totally unisex in my opinion and stunning. I think I got it for like $30 something dollars on Amazon.
Anyway, those are my personal gatekept perfumes.

I'm not sure if anyone else remembers this but this DEFINITELY happened so back in 2011, Selena Gomez had her fans help her vote on the top, middle and base notes for her upcoming perfume and I honestly remember doing this I just got a wave of nostalgia when I confirmed it on Google 😂😫 but yet I still have not smelled this fragrance! I hope to find it one day!
NR Fleur Musc is criminally underrated. My husband goes feral for it and I ALWAYS get compliments from men when I wear it. Pink pepper, peony, rose

Omg!! It’s soooo true about Mugler perfumes. I’ve been wearing Angel for years and the company has gone down hill since his passing. It’s really sad. I actually emailed them about it once and never heard back from them. I’m not a big fan of Alien but I do purchase the smallest bottles of the different ones they come out with just to have the beautiful bottles in my Mugler collection. I did live the red one.

I love Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille. The Coconut Almond is equally delicious.
My gatekeeper perfume is Hugo Boss Ma vie, it’s so soft and elegant. Cactus flower note is so underrated, its on the top but its present the whole time blending beautifully with jasmine in the middle and woody notes at the base.

That's a great list! Thank you! 🥰 Perfumes by Antonio Banderas and Christina Aguilera are soo underrated and I almost never hear anyone talk about them. I would especially recommend Definition by Christina Aguilera. It's so long-lasting and it's truly a beast mode fragrance when it comes to projection. Some people compare it to Signature by Montblanc. Her Golden Secret by Antonio Banderas (I would say a lot lighter version of Alien) smells much more expensive than it is. I tested a new fragrance of his just yesterday (Her Secret Absolu), and it was stunning!

Oakcha released a Wonderstruck dupe recently! I haven't smelled it or the original, but thought I'd put fans on it since it's discontinued.
I loved that video! If you ever want a dupe for Taylor Swift Wonderstruck perfume, Oakcha have one and to my nose, it is very similar 🙂 I have the original and the dupe and I can now wear this scent knowing that there is an affordable option avalible ❤
I don’t own a bottle of Bronze Goddess but i completely agree with you - it’s amazing! i was in love with this scent since i got my highlighter (same name), and then I’ve found out that there is an actual perfume and now i need a bottle desperately
DOWN TOWN is very good for summer, from sexy fruity juicy it develops into feminine fluffy creamish sweetish soft cleanliness, if only it was ''stronger'' and projected more...In Europe Bronze Godess is valued and popular, apparently the niut (blac bottle) is the best recent flanker. Angel Fusion had its moment on perfume you tube despite some saying it wasn't long lasting. Today some compare to Armani Prive Rouge Malachite . I thought NAXOS already has a CULT PERFUME status, at least on you tube :)

Bronze Goddess is one of my absolute favs and I’m surprised not many talk about it. I get that it’s a very specific scent though.
I have Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche and have loved it for several years! I believe the bottle you have is the old edp maybe like the 2017 version? The current Bronze Goddess lineup has a different note breakdown from what I understand, but still really solid perfumes.
THAT calvin klein is sooo strong wow. projection and longevity is good for a lifetime. Its very nice for summer

All I can smell with Fusion is cinnamon on my skin to my nose. I also have Alien (purple), which is just oke. But my favorite is Aura.
These sound amazing!! My goal in life now is to smell as many perfumes as I can. 😂 Then get the ones I love. My fave is Lacoste Pour Femme but it’s discontinued and I think they changed the formula and Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline another one I think may get discontinued. 😢

I remember when you showed downtown in a video a while back I ended up getting a package of samples from eBay and I loved it! There was a perfume called Marrakesh that I loved and they stopped making it and I got several bottles and the last one I kept and wanted to use it sparingly but it went bad. That was my gate keep.

Omg wonderstruck is SO GOOD! This was one of the perfumes I was hooked on as a kid and its hard to find now. My other favorite celebrity scents was Justin Bieber key, and the Hannah Montana perfume which surprisingly got me compliments growing up 🤣 My current gatekeep perfume is wildbloom vert by Banana Republic. Affordable, decent longevity, and gets so many compliments. I think you'd love this one
downtown used to be my signature scent. I’d used it for about 5 years & nothing else. it’s too nostalgic for me at this point, I can’t use it anymore; but it’s so good.

Aire Loco by Loewe is such a hidden gem. I thought I am selfish, I have an obsession with perfumes and wanted to create my own collection but unfortunately a few of my close friends copied me and now are wearing same frags that I adore even though I asked not to copy me but get their own favorite. I completely understand you and agree 100% everyone should have their own favorite and others shouldn’t copy you. There are millions of frags, common people you don’t have to smell the same like chicken in a cage.

Guys DONTwaste your money on the Bronze Goddess. It's nothing like the old school one. First it has no longevity whatsoever. U can spray it 30 times and it disappears minutes later. No joke. It also smells NOTHING like the early 2000 scent. It's totally different and bad. Go with oakcha. It has better longevity and its cheaper. Oil perfumary is even better bc the oils are powerful. The dupe houses are a better option and affordable and they are killing it.
Idea for video: perfumes that have survived all decluters because you just love them and can’t get rid of them

My "gatekeeper" perfume is "Paloma Picasso" ...its a richer, more dense, unisex version of your favorite "Guess Seductive Noir"...and its under $50.00 ....when folks ask me what I'm wearing i lie, and say a made up name I've came up with (Fleetwood)🤣🤣🤣 just to keep people from smelling like me😉😉

I only have 1 perfume that I gatekeep, bought 10 bottles of it and gonna keep it for myself, I gatekeep not because I don't want others to smell like me, but the perfume is a limited edition and hard to find now so I'm sweeping every place possible and buy allll
Victoria Secret bare is the ultimate your skin but better. I’m one of those that can’t smell missing person, not a perfume, or glossier you… but bare smells amazing on me especially in high heat, it mixes with sweat well. My other gatekeeper is discontinued so I hate to say it; but I love matcha meditation from replica, it’s a creamy, chocolatey smell and I get really good projection and lasting power from it.
The bare rose lotion is sooooo good , it kinda smells like cloud cause the pear . Augh I love the lotion I wanna eat myself up every time I wear it 😂 . it smells a little masculine
I have that same bottle of Bronze Goddess. I treasure it as my favorite summer scent! It's just ME in a bottle! So sad they changed the formula. It is lighter, watered down.

My gatekeep perfumes are all discontinued they’re the good chemistry line from target the og ones not the rebrand, old vs perfumes that u can only find on Mercari , and Elizabeth and James Nirvana which again Mercari but they’re not that expensive . U really need to try the Nirvana brand I feel like you’d love them.

Thé « new » bottle is not a new perfume, it’s bronze goddess edt / eAu fraiche which is the original formula that never ever changed (only the packaging changing every year )

Bronze Goddess is nothing like the one in that mirror bottle. I used to have that and it was made in the early 2000. The newer one is totally different and very weak. Ton Ford collaborated with Estee Lauder and. Created a Bronze Goddess that was stunning. It's long gone and u can't find it anywhere anymore. This was around 2003 ish

*Vintage* Opium, Poison, Samsara and Chloe. Not the pitiful, reformulated and weak versions of late. If you've experienced these classics in their original release era glory, you'd understand why I gatekeep these. Timeless, powerful, gorgeous, and irreplaceable.❤
Girl idk why I was drawn to that Selena perfume because I never gravitated to her rare brand , but she a cancer like me and one thing about cancers, we smell tf good. But her products underwhelmed me lol, the Selena perfume AND the rare mist . The rare mist is nasty and the perfume is a bit cloying it literally bothered me bc I used it and some lingered on some clothes I had lying around and I immediately went to wash them 😂
