I bought Vanilla Potion at Marshall's 3 weeks ago. I have a vanilla bean and honey body oil that I wanted to use so i thought of using Vanilla Potion to layer with it. So as a fraghead does, I went to fragrantica to look upthe notes. I realized realized that it shares many notes with Pure Honey by Kim Kardashian. One of the best layering combos i have found. But fair warning, unless you enjoy smelling sweet enough to cause a diabetic coma, use sparingly.
TJ Maxx has many Tru Fragrance Scents, and others that are inexpensive and very good. The problem is if there aren't testers, it is often difficult to find any info about them online ( including Fragrantica). Thanks for your video, very informative!
To my nose, most of the Le Monde Gourmand fragrances have a similar chewy, fruity candy scent profile, like they mixed them all in the same tub without cleaning in between. So even though I like a lot of them, I don't feel the need to collect them all. If I have one, it feels like I already have 75% of the collection.
At 7:00 you mention you smell a cherry vibe to that fragrance. So many scents with an almond note give off cherry vibes. Also, so many fragrances with a cherry note are also paired with almond notes.

I currently have pistachio brulée and another one called le bubble pop which smells like a mix of bubble gum and cotton candy it's so good 😍 they also had a cotton candy one, cola one and popcorn one and I've smelled them all and they're so spot on I just wish I could find them 🥺 they normally sell these perfumes at urban outfitters that's where I've always bought mine
My cheapy tips if you can get your hands on it: -Bruno Banani (the original, light pink one). Little bit powdery sexy musk, gets me more compliments than some expensive perfumes! - Stradivarius ' 101 Silk', omg this is so cheap and it's what I wanted out of 'girl of now'. Best almond/amaretto scent ever an it projects! If you like Girl of now, just get this one.
Thanks, Ksenja. I just ordered these fragrances because of you. I usually buy my cheaper fragrances to layer with my more expensive fragrances, so I don't mind the cheapies. I love them, and some cheapies have better-lasting power than the more expensive ones.
I see Le Monde Gourmand so often at my TJ Maxx that I was actually shocked to see them at Ulta. It felt backwards to me, if that makes sense. I have Pistachio Brûlée and Açaí Baie, but because they lack longevity I tend to use them as bedtime scents, or for lazy days around the house. I wish they had better performance, but for the $11 that I payed I can’t really complain. I would definitely repurchase at TJ Maxx prices, but probably not Ulta.
Same day I watched your video (like 2 weeks ago) I ran out to Ulta to pick up Pétale Éphémère. It is definitely an inexpensive Kilian Love Don’t Be Shy dupe and I’m loving it! Thank you so much for telling us! 🥰💕

If you like the Pepe Jeans original then you need to try the flanker called Celebrate in the Teal Martini bottle. Its gorgeous, the notes are very unique and smells nothing like you expect! Its sexy, amazing and gorgeous!

I did not understand why people liked Vanilla Potion. To me it smelled horrible and I love vanilla scents. It was like a vanilla floral scent that was so bad that I sold it immediately.
Everyone's nose is different, ksenja also swore Dossier's version of killians "love don't be shy" smelled amazing, I just got it yesterday and already gave it away, it smells horrible! If theirs marshmallow, I couldn't tell! Smh.. Her nose is... Well... Untrustworthy, lol

Pistachio brûlée doesn’t smell creamy or gourmand to me at all. It smells more like a clean soapy out of the shower scent. The creaminess is more reminiscent of a conditioner than a edible type.

Except no vanilla matches the richness of the vanilla in Vanilla Potion. I just tried about a dozen niche vanilla fragrances, and a bunch of designer ones, and none came close to the richness of the vanilla in Vanilla Potion. They're using a fragrance oil that no one else in the industry is using. That's why Vanilla Potion is special, to me.
Nothing is gonna match the triple vanillas in Burberry Goddess, sorry. That vanilla caviar is amazing. I found this one powdery and synthetic as well Nancy, so many better vanillas out there imo

Pepe Jeans is a new fave! I purchased because it was compared to Yara (another fave) so much, and I might like itveven more. The dry down is so good!

I have 2 of the le monde fragrances. They don't last, but the smell great.

I have tried Creme Brulee and Figue du Forest from le Monde Gourmand and I have to say i really like how realistic and yummy they smell.
Almond oil is often times used to make cherry scents. That's why anything that says almond can be very cherry by default.
