Rouge Smoking is a 9/10 for me as well. I wore it while waitressing at a restaurant and got compliments from the clients all the time.
You guys need to give Eau duelle EDP a chance, I think it smells better and more interesting than the EDT. It’s my go to fall/winter
Yes, most definitely and as it macerates it gets better. Eau Duelle is a unique, spicy , cozy vanilla.
I adore both EDT & EDP find them different enough to own both ❤❤
I absolutely respect that you both said that Starlight is not your style - and I'm not negating that at all - but please, please try it on skin. I feel like you will react differently. When it warms up, it really shines. The first time I tried it was on skin and my eyes rolled back in my head. I wore it to work and everyone in my vicinity was making happy noises. 😘
So interesting how everyone's nose picks up scents differently, to my Eau Duelle is a very green, spicy, unique vanilla, not one dimensional at all 😂

It smells like someone went in a forest at sunrise when it’s foggy and dewy and made a fire but instead of woods, they burned vanilla and sprinkled some marshmallow powder on the top. I love it, it’s so unique
I came to say the same thing! The edt is a unique vanilla and super green! The edp is a smoky beauty too! My husband always compliments me when I wear eau duelle…. Maybe it doesn’t express itself well on paper?

Wow shocked you guys couldn’t pick up the lemon in then Lira. So amazed how we all smell something so different from one another.
I find Lira as a lemon vanilla cake, even smelling it again now watching the clip not eeeven a shadow of soap there for me😂😂😂
I think you have to skin test niche brands. It’s like they are formulated to evolve on the skin and then they truly reveal the creativity of the perfumer. Some I thought I liked on paper were awful on my skin and some I hated on paper sang on my skin.

Rouge Smoking would be my signature scent if the longevity was better. I adore it and I’m hoping they come out with an extrait version. Good to know that just like me Anthony doesn’t like Gris Charnel or Pas Ce Soir. Everyone raves about them and it’s a hard no for me. I’d love to see you review Anne Lauren’s fragrance choices next!❤

I love Rouge Smoking…. I get tons of compliments from men when I wear it. My husband has a beard styling product that smells exactly the same and I love it on him too.

I struggle with BDK, but I haven't tried Rouge Smoking yet. I tend to love Xerjoff, but I'm not a fan of Lira. You two have me intrigued about Wind Flowers now. I've found that I love a fragrance when both of you love it. Thanks for the reviews.
To me, Rouge Smoking smells like Cherry Coke. My sister loves it, but I never liked cherry colas so it was a pass for me.
Lira is the closest - very expensive - dupe to my all time favorite long long discontinued L by Lolita Lempicka. It's not a 100% match, but easily 85-92%.
Vanilla and orange, correct, also a slight musky soapiness, correct, no cocoa though in either L or Lira.
Whenever I see Monikas recommendations, I know they are going to be classy and refined options. Such wife scents 💍

I want to thank you for introducing me to Versace crystal noir. The amount of compliments I have gotten while wearing it is insane! I have tried quite a few number of perfumes since buying it, but nothing comes close to crystal noir through ❤

Starlight is very different once put on skin, it is a bit odd and definitely unique but what it settles down to is so gorgeous.
I love when you do these. I pull each fragrance up as you're talking about them to see how good you are at detecting notes. I must say you do pretty good. But then I find myself hollering at you. You say you smell iris and I'm like "No, it's lily!" 🤣

Diptyque Eau Duelle is a beast mode on skin, I gave it to my mom as present but what’s crazy is my mom don’t like it at first but later on she keeps using them everyday and kept telling me how much compliments she got from it 😂
Lira is on my list since everyone said it smells like lemon caramel cake. As a gourmand lover, that sounds like a dream. But your description of it smelling like soap is scaring me. Lol. I feel like I’m going to have to test it first.
It gets super warm on the skin. Not soapy at all. Smells like a bakery.

Hi I own lira and it’s absolutely gorgeous! I’m a gourmand lover also. To me this fragrance smells like an airy, perfectly smooth and blended, lemon, caramel butter cake. It’s also surprisingly not dense or thick when though it’s so delicious. I also love that it has the versatility that a lot of gourmand fragrances don’t just because of the light airiness. Definitely always sample first as these fragrances are far from affordable and we definitely all do perceive scent differently. I however love it. Xx

Thanks everyone for your feedback! 😊 I finally ordered a decant and received it today and I’m wearing it now. I definitely agree more with Anthony than Andrea on this. I don’t get orange chocolate soap. Lol. I get lemon, and some sweetness and I also get what he means when he said a biscuit (like a lemony vanilla glaze biscuit) and it’s also airy. I like this better than Devotion (which made me nauseous), but not more than Akro Bake. Now I have to try Hufflepuff and then I will be complete. Lol

Lys Solsberg is one of my top complemented perfume once I had it on and went to the eye doctor and he said oh my God I want to give you a hug you smell so good

de los santos is in my top 3, i don't hear anyone talking about it that often but its literally one of my all time favourites

The seeds in Indian rice, are they slender, moon shaped? they are probably caraway seeds. The fennel seeds are the ones that you find inside paan (minty leaf parcels filled with rose petal preserve)
I like the Eau Duelle EdP a lot more dark and woody than the edT
one thing about Diptyque is that they all lean a little natural/raw material-y and a little retro. don't expect your mega-boosted performance molecules polished rounded designer in this one
BDK is a tough house for me as well but Rouge Smoking is my LOVE. And interestingly, as shekshay as it smells, it is also in my "fragrances to wear to bed (to sleep 😉)" category because it is somehow calming and cozy too. It will forever be in my collection - which is small and curated, fewer than 50.
I could listen to Ándrea excitedly say, “Bravo!” all day.
I'm debating on getting rouge smoking. It's been on my wish list for a while. I have creed windflowers, still trying to figure out how I feel about that one lol. Lira by Xerjof is one of my favorites. A Lemon tart or cookie , so yummy!

Starlight is suuuuper interesting. Found it too spicy on the tester and when I wore a small wrist dab, but because of the hype, I did a proper full day wear and really enjoyed it. Still not sure I'd get a full bottle, but its one worth fully testing for sure 😊
Windflowers by Creed was a love at first sniff. It’s on my wishlist and I WILL have a full bottle before this year is over ❤
Lira has lavender in it, maybe that’s where you’re getting “soapy”? As far as lemony gourmands go, I prefer Bake by Akro. 🍋
I think you should’ve sprayed each one to experience the opening. BDK Rouge Smoking there’s something fizzy and cherry like makes it smell like root beer with maraschino cherries. Lira is very citrusy in the opening. Not saying you’ll like them more I for one don’t like Lira. But to get the full experience you know.

Why is eau duelle a green, resinous, juniper vanilla on me? Lol. It’s moderate on me and one of my faves. It’s so unique (not a sweet confectionary vanilla).
Omg Lira is a powdery vanilla lemon on me lol. There’s no chocolate on me.. this goes to show how scent is so different on everyone. Especially on skin (not paper). There’s so soap note on me.
SKIN is the operative word. The fail is trying this on strips that have sat around for however long. These would be fantastic reviews but they’re actually just inaccurate because of these failures.

I love starlight give it a chance it's cardamom spicy sweet sent. It smells like a dessert when I spray it my girlfriends go crazy and wanna know what it is right away. Put it on your skin and wear it during the holidays.
Starlight is one of my Top 10 favorite fragrances. It's gorgeous for the Winter Holidays.
But I'm also obsessed with Gris Charnel (also for Fall and Winter)...
What can I say? Most of them time, I like my fragrances to smell really different. (e.g. I don't prefer something as basic as Libre, which I know they loved in the past...)

It looks like the Eau Duelle you have is the EDT. I've have had that before and it is very faint. The glass of EDP bottle is a transparent black.
I'm obsessed with Creed Virgin Island Water, too bad its discontinued but I did get a sample on scent split, however too expensive a full bottle😅

The Pac se soir…I don’t get the pineapple 🍍 thing!? In all the perfumes lately!? It’s one of my I won’t buy notes!! And I even love pineapple on pizza! I love the smell of a pina colada! But no pineapple in perfume ick!! No I LOVE Soleil Blanc! I think it’s the ylang ylang? Anyway it’s my favorite summer coconut 🥥 tanning lotion perfume! There’s a diff between what people call sunscreen and sunTAN lotion.. I do think it could go on both men and women! Make him try it!! But I do think us women are hotter in it😂 💕

De los santos is unique, but it smells like hay and the tobacco inside of a cigarette. If anyone likes that scent, go for it.
