I was at this show- boots on, back to the wall, sipping on a beer. They opened with this song. Place was rocking that night- sticky, sweaty, beer-drenched university students. And no phones! Sold out show, MuchMusic flew in a lighting and film crew to record the show from the upper level of the old Thompson Students’ Centre, on Memorial University campus.
My first song I listened to them was this off of the snow in June album. Then after a couple months I collected all their cds and cassettes. Such an amazing band my favorite of all time.
Same here I got all of their albums, but I would love to see them at their next concert. And all the band members are super nice people and their songs are truly one of a kind.
One of the best bands I know. Love the LP Secrets of an Alibi! Totally underrated. Great songs, great lyrics, great musicians, fantastic harmony singing!
I think you're right. I remember back when Muchmusic actually played music videos, they had a Special thing where those guys "Mike and Mike" went with them to Newfoundland - Muchmusic also filmed and broadcasted the concert. Months later when this video came out I noticed that it was the same footage from the Muchmusic special. I taped the whole thing on VHS, the tape is in my mom's basement. I haven't watched it since 1992 or so!
