As a man who has lived in Saskatchewan his entire life, this band is a BELOVED part of our province's zyguist. Their simple, fun songs are an absolute must on any summertime road trip playlist, and make for some good, wholesome entertainment. I love you Northern Pikes! You will be my local heroes forever!
This is another classic video from Northern Pikes ... I'm glad that TH-cam is a place for them to get some exposure. Even about 20 years or so after this music was first made, their stuff is still relevant and crisp. Intelligent lyrics, great melodies, complex song structure. Deserving of a place in Canadian music history!

She has performed with and been a member of Billy Joel's band since around 1993 to the present date. Try, inter alia, the video on TH-cam 'Live from Frankfurt 1994 ''An Innocent Man'. You will see her hitting all the high notes.
I started at The Blue Shadows’ song “Deliver Me’... something instantly brought me to “Kiss Me You Fool” and now “Girl With a Problem”. I now realize the Pikes had a big impact on me growing up as a singer on the Alberta prairie. Big fan of the Band, bigger fan of Dylan. Anyone know who the actress is? I have a hunch.

My band use to play it for the stuck up bitch's and all the guys would shout out She Ain't Pretty - She just looks that way! A great song and still holds it's meaning today :) There's always a curvy girl in the crowd willing to take their place so no real harm was done to the native glam girls :)

The Pikes were the first band I ever saw in concert. Mae Moore opened for them back in Oct 90 in Corner Brook, NL.
Garth Hudson truly one of Canada's legends of rock shows up on this track and in the video - love it.
Crystal Taliefero on BG vocals and Garth Hudson on organ - & the song still sounds fresh after almost three decades!

It's a great song. If you removed her backup vocals it's wouldn't be nearly as good, IMO.
