- Nigel Farage has hit out at "cancel culture" after officers moved to shut down the National Conservatism conference in Brussels.
Former Home Secretary Suella Braverman who was also at the event said the "thought police" were instructed by the local mayor to cancel the event.

As someone who is not easily put into a box. I.E. I support policies from both the left and the right. I have to say that silencing any kind of debate is certainly worrying and its a signal that authoritarianism is running rampant. Theres really not much difference between the extreme far right and extreme far left. Hitler and Stalin for example were very simmilar. If people cant express their concerns about X Y or Z then its clear that the authorities are protecting their stance on X Y and Z to the exclusion of public opinion. Its fairly likely that in the immediate future we will be asked to fight and die for these authorities and yet we have no say in the direction of our countries or the policies that govern us. And that is what I call Tyranny.
The same old turd that wants to ban solidarity marches for Palestine not to mention the witch Suella.

@bradavon Because they get their pensions from the British government and bring in lots of capital, while poor Eastern European migrants bring nothing but a map to the benefits office, I know loads who have full time jobs but get more welfare than they pay in taxes, and that's the ones who work.
The mayor of this district of Brussels is "Imir Kir", the son of Turkish Immigrants. In Belgium he identifies himself with the Belgian socialist party. On reading online news articles and his Bio, he has been involved with Turkish IZ far right groups. quite a contradiction!! There is more to the banning of this conference than meets the eye apparently!!

It would seem that Belgian authorities do not support the ethic of freedom of speech, but choose to shut it down instead. I though Belgians had more morality about them, I was wrong. Nigel Farage is no Alt Right winger, I would not even describe him as Right wing, he is moderate and reasonable in his outlook and politics. I am deeply shocked that Belgium would go this far as to shut down him and his Conservative colleagues, What is becoming of Belgium? What right do British politicians have to get involved in the politics of the EU and EU member states? In the UK non residents are not allowed to get involved not are foreigners allowed to meddle in UK political process nor in the USA. Why is UK entitled to meddle in the political processes of other countries?
