If you believe in the democratic process, then by definition you cannot be a Nazi or a Fascist. Abuse of authority to shut down thought, speech and expression is certainly not how anyone should behave, but this is EU land, and who know which nasty little permanent bureaucrat thought it would be a good idea to lean on the local mayors? The EU is hardly a friend of democracy now, is it?
