Quite the direct answer. Askin is a powerhouse who put some of the most powerful and resourceful Shinigami near death and possibly inflicted permanent damage to Kisuke. Even if it ends the way it does it would be interesting to see Gin and Askin go at it.

I agree that Askin is greatly underrated and more people need to give him more respect... I mean his ability is absolutely absurd. That said I think you are greatly underestimating Gin. 1) Gin was very obviously playing around with Ichigo and could have killed him several times so scaling him off that fight isn't actually fair. Also, you misunderstand the fight between Aizen and the Gotei 13, especially the part where he is affected by Shinji... That was Momo, he can only use her Reiatsu when manipulating her to fight. 2) I distinctly remember Yami being able to fight off Yoruichi and Urahara (Shikai) Ulquiorra even stating that it would take too long to defeat them. Now obviously they weren't fighting at MAX power but they were fighting to kill/protect. Gin is way Stronger than Yami and Ulquiorra (Up until his final transformation) 3) Askin is literately a direct counter to Gin. The only way Gin can win is if he knows about Askin's ability... but you can literately say this about 98% of every character. To express just how strong Askin is, he fought 3 captain level fighters at the same time and before that he dunk Ichigo who would later go on to fight Juha Back and FORCE him to use the Almighty After the Anime revealed how strong Squad Zero really is, it really does weaken the royal guard by extent.

I’m mentioning gin fought against Ichigo, and he figured out how gin’s Bankai works. So if Ichigo can figure it out mid battle and dodge his Bankai attacks, I’m more than positive Askin can as well. Gin never said when I use my hands my zanpakuto becomes faster or when I open my eyes it becomes faster. I think we’ve seen his Bankai’s top speed. 1b) I personally don’t believe that was momo vs shinji. But even if it was her that doesn’t disprove the moment soi fon hit Aizen with nigeki kisatsu and he over powered it with his Reiatsu. 2. I believe Yammy and Ulquiorra are not stronger than TYBW Kisuke and Yoruichi. Gin vs Yoruichi or Kisuke he’s getting washed. 3. Askin has so much going for him which is why I believe it’s just not close. It’s all predicated upon him landed the first attack from his Bankai, and in character gin doesn’t go Bankai right off the bat. Unlike Askin, he uses his death dealing right away which is an instant checkmate. All it takes is one slash from gin in his Shikai The anime just leveled the power system a lot better than Kubo did in the manga. They're still powerhouses, and past Shinigami can't keep up.
@@strawhatvibe 1) Well I'm not sure how accurate that is because I remember Gin telling Ichigo about his Bankai rather than Ichigo finding out about it. ( But he lied) Also if you remember correctly, the retraction of the blade is what makes it the fastest, not when it extends, so Ichigo reacting to Gins attack (Despite the fact he wasn't serious) doesn't really give us anything to work with. I also think another weakness to Askin which for some reason is never used despite it being Tite's specialty... what if Gin slices Askin in half? I know that is weird but I really do think that would just end him... after all he died after having his heart removed and unlike the rest of the Royal guard he is 'mortal'. He needs his anatomy. It isn't in the personality to train just like Kenpachi didn't train until he got rolled by Juha. Also, referring to Momo and the whole reiatsu thing... this also will act as a speed feat. Not only did Gin's Zanpakto outspeed Aizen's reaction time while he was a Transcendent being ( Aizen also Easily reacted to Yoruichi and Kisuke in a weaker state) But his Bankai's poison was NOT negated by the transcendent Aizen's unique Reiatsu... not only that.... BUT it actually did finish Aizen off as he would only come back due to the Hogyoku. Trying to Say Transcendent Aizen isn't on, above or around Royal Guard level would be crazy. 3) Another characteristic of Gin is his unpredictability and he may be less inclined to mess around with Askin as he has no reason to show mercy but Gin isn't a naturally aggressive person so there is always that going against him.

I’m well aware he was messing with Ichigo but to catch Ichigo up to speed to take on Aizen he definitely gave Ichigo a run for his money so he was able to react to things of that level. Askin being able to react to gins ability isn’t far off. He’s smart..the whole purpose of this was “in character” and how it’d go. Gin is not the type to Bankai right away. Cutting Askin in half wouldn’t work either due to him just using gift bad he’d throw it at his zanpakuto and it’s checkmate again. Also it would only work if he’s off guard. Askin reacted to an attack that’s supposed to kill in one strike and survived. 2.) So I’m not saying they trained harshly or anything like that. But they prepared for the fight did they not? They’re well equipped and willing to train to make sure they aren’t caught with their pants down to take on gin at this point. It’s ridiculous to think that they aren’t on gins level due to him using his strongest attack on Aizen that had his guard down. Also Aizen didn’t try to negate that poison. 2b) I think the fact that Askin is similar to Aizen here. Aizen who always does KS at the start of the battle is similar to Askin who gains immunity right away to someone. He’d set up a gift bad without gins knowledge. Also no one would say transcendent Aizen isn’t on their level Gin’s and askin’s personality will play a big part in this fight since that’s Askin’s style. And if we want to say gin would use Bankai right off the bat then do the same for Askin in his holy form. Being able to adapt to poisons and changes in Reiatsu. Dude, its really not that deep. If gin instantly bankais or even shikais Askin, he wins. If he does anything else, he loses. Ouetsu may be the fastest shinigami, but Gin has the fastest Zanpakuto.

It's telling that Kubo disconnected Kamishini no Yari from Gin for the question. Even if Gin was fast enough to hit Askin, his level of reiatsu is too low to affect Askin.

Pretty fair analysis. Askin has shown speed comparable to Yoruichi and Urahara so he'd have no trouble dodging gins blade
