If you remove the seats and one ends up in the water, does it float?
I can't imagine anything smaller than the 21 footer. My sister had a 16 foot pontoon and you had to balance the load otherwise it would lean too much.

What were your impressions of the 100hp models? Will a 16’ plane out and run 20mph with its rated capacity?
On the cruise models does the higher portion of the front come off to make it the same as the sport?

What is the top speed for 21 cruise?
I love the concept but they need me for the fisherman in mind, like a live well, bait tank, rod holder storage depth finder. A gate on the front with a platform outside the railing to run jugs,less furniture up front like one couch, and lights for night fishing. Or just take this technology and install it into a v Hull 21’ boat
You can cast a pole out of any boat. Doesnt need a live well to catch fish. Use to do it with old trihulls. Throw the fish in a cooler if you're gonna keep them.
Can you mount a trolling motor on the front?

Nice video of the switch in action. In all the videos I’ve seen I’ve never seen anyone do a review on the swim ladder you use to get in the boat from the water. I don’t even know if it’s in the front or the back of the boat. Is the swim ladder easy or hard to use to get out of the water especially for bigger people?
It slides into the swim platform in back. Judging by looks it does not look like the most beefy ladder in the world but no idea about actual strength.
You need to show the complete Bimini top put down. Where does it stow? It doesn’t look like you can use the boat with the top down. Any time any one is in the boat, the top needs to be up. Can the top be removed easily?

It stows forward in cockpit. It needs to be up to use.
@@vetesnikpowersports1974 That seems kind of dumb. The main point of a bimini is that they can be used like a convertable. Maybe I don't want one after all.
Does it have hard points so it can be used as a tender?
Does it have power assist stearing where it throttles up automatically and music was aggravating get rid of it
I was interested until I realized there's no side door to get on/off from the dock. I guess for a lot of people you'd have to buy a section that goes in front. Also, I wonder if you have to set up a boat lift differently than you would a regular pontoon.
UGH nix that annoying music and the demo would be better.
I have a sea doo boat that is very rough on the water, not to mention the ‘porpoising’ at faster speeds. I’ve been on one traditional pontoon and noticed a much smoother ride. I’m curious how the ride quality is on these. The videos made me think it might ride more like my challenger 180…
Can anyone speak to that characteristic?

John, I had a 2007 Challenger 180 (that I bought new) until last year. Great little boat with almost no issues over the years. Biggest issues I had was how much it got bounced around in even moderate chop. Sitting still and even the smallest of chop would make it move. I have a SeaDoo GTX PWC that is more stable based on the S1 hull. From what I can tell this will be much more stable based on the tri-toon design. From watching even the compact it appears much better with all of the same advantages. I put my deposit down so we shall see.
Those 13 fters look like a bucking bronco compared to the longer toons.

Which one was quicker and more fun the 13ft sport 170hp or the 18ft sport 230hp ? Great video.

Did you happen to ask seadoo why they didn't put the optional swimdeck on there demo compact sport ?
Do they use a carbon seal in these?
Do any of the models have a swing gate in the aft of the pontoon? (backend)
Do the thicker padding for the sunbed area have the same clip in system?

All models have the swing gate in the front and in the back. The Cruise model can be configured to have seating back there instead of access to the gate, up to you. Yes it does!
@@vetesnikpowersports1974 I haven't seen any video showing that back gate open and in the detailed photos the post (frame) go down through the floor and no hinges... any chance you have pictures or video of the rear gate opening?
Does the switch sport 18' come from factory with two Soft Armrest with Cup Holder (269003781) and Seat Corner Backrest (LH) (295101045)?
Will it still nose dive like a traditional pontoon when going through larger waves/wake?
Depends on weight distribution.
I have learned through watching other videos that the minimum length you would want your boat to be to prevent 95% of nose diving in areas with large waves is 21 feet.
Holy cow! I was skeptical al best, but they will be a game changer. I want one to compliment my pontoon. they seem like a logical transition from kids on a jet ski to tweens on a switch.
It would be nice to a full cover like a tent I could see myself camping on the waters for days. 👍🏾

In Thailand, is there a model of this boat for sale?

How do you get on the boat from a side dock?
Trip.
Look at the (Angler Qwest 824 Catfish Edition Pontoon) and make a 100% Fishing Model like that and you will sell 1000s of them around the world. It must have a trolling motor also. Get a Pro Fisherman to design it please. Skeet Reese would be a good one to design it for you.

The handle bars look like they will get in the way.
Do you always have to have your hand on the throttle in order to move the boat? That's different from other pontoons that have a throttle body that is separate from the steering wheel.

Thanks for making this video! I have a compact sport on order! Can you tell me if the boat on the trailer will fit in my garage with bimini down or taken off if that's possible? My garage at the entrance is 9' wide, 6' 2" high, and 20' long. This is a huge advantage to having this boat if it'll fit!
13 footer looks like it would be sketchy in the bigger waves/rollers on the big lakes where there would be a lot of boat traffic
Some other video I watched said its shouldn't be used anywhere where the waves and swells exceed 1 foot.
is the 170 more reliable than the 230 engine?
Same engine . One has supercharger one is not supercharged.

Not really enough to talk about.
@@jeepc4x4 230hp has a supercharger. Less output than the 300hp and runs on 87 octane.

My dealer says no. You will need a lift.
Never put the anchor in first with the rope on top……that’s counter productive. Look at any auto anchor.

Agree. I wish it was rated for more passengers too. Park rangers here are strict about adhering to the rated passenger count.

Rated on 160lb person. So realistically 7 or 8 people.

That's what bilge pumps are for.
That is a lot of water in the engine bay at the 3:00 mark! Very concerning on a brand new boat! Hopefully they work out all the kinks before releasing models to the public. Looks like a cool option between a pontoon and a jet ski though.

That’s typical of Seadoo boats. They use a carbon seal ring on the driveshaft which must be aligned perfectly in order to work properly. The jet skis have bailers that auto-drain this water but the boats do not.
Since this is a new model they probably haven’t dialed in the alignment from the factory for this ring yet.
This also is probably due to running the boat on the trailer which can overheat the ring if done for too long and warp it.
It’s a sea doo totally normal for a jet…

Hi any one know 21’ Sea Doo switch on trailer hight and length. Top down did fit thru 8’ high Garage doors. To the 24’X24’ garage. Thanks
They are all 8.5 feet on the trailer, with Bimini top down.
Where I live a lot of the areas to boat do not allow gas engines. Is there a electric motor option?

No, we are several years away from electric boats under $30k that will achieve this speed and range. The batteries are just still too expensive.
