Big Bell ride 18" & 20" ride comparison.

I also have both - personally, I prefer the lower pitch of the 20, although I'd like to try the CC Dark 18. The pinginess of the bow on the CC 18 doesn't fit in as well with the rest of my cymbals as much as the 20 does, but that's just me. Both are great rides.

Nice demo, also how do you have your bass drum tuned. Do you have anything inside of it?

Thanks, I tune very low my bass drum. There is a cushion inside touching both drumheads. On this video I used microphone and trigger to bass drum.

Is the size of the bell the same on both cymbals? 10 inches, right?

cool vid! How do you like them? Just got my 20" and it's insanely loud, and I'm not sure I like the bell much.

Thanks! I love the bells in both! They are mega loud. I was concerned about the overall volume of the 20" but it sounds great with the band! I've had other rides with big bells before: Zildjian, Sabian and these Meinl ones are really great and much cheaper!

same. I'm leaning more towards the bell sound of the 18". it has more ping that cuts better than the pong of the 20"

Gosh I just don't like the over tones of the bell on the rides. The rides themselves are beautiful! But that overtone is nasty.
I'm a bad way 😢
