Iâm married to a Cuban girl so she cooks everything in olive oil! Black beans are packed with protein and fiber! Also who ever invented the air fryer should receive the Nobel Peace Prize!!!
Rotisserie chicken from our local grocery is a convenient and pretty tasty source of protein. Put a little hot sauce on it, eat with some rice or potatoes for carb.
Almost 70 and going strong
Much respect
I'll skip the oats, sugar and especially almond milk. Whole milk is a lot healthier than any plant based pseudomilk plus it's higher in protein. Everyone has their own favorites. Carnivore is my choice for building muscle. The only carb I eat is the potato every now and then.
Iâm animal based, lots of red meat, pasture raised eggs, and raw whole milk!!! Along with that I also consume avocados, raw organic olives, lots of berries (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries), and very modest amounts of raw organic honey. 85% of my diet is definitely comprised of the red meat, eggs, and milk.
Very good channel. Im 60 and just getting back into training to lose 25lbs and tone up. Like the no nonsense good advice.ð
Keep up the good work! Thank you for tuning in
Great advice thanks !
Could you give us an example of a breakfast plate and drink
Lunch plate and drink
And a dinner plate and drink
Can't wait to try the chicken recipe
Thanks again !
We will put it on the list. Thanks for watching
My greek yogourt is maple its all about calorie in and out not to gain weight honest. Dont over do it either. I buy a chicken spread fat free and great for whole wheat sandwich. I am gonna try this shake n bake looks delicious
Good idea on the extra crispy mix. I have the regular mix and use that. I love some fresh cranberry sauce on the side with mine and some potatoes or rice, so good.
Great idea!
Thanks for this. Genius. I will try your recipe for fried chicken. So trying this one.
Hope you enjoy
Love oatmeal also but eat steel oats. 1 gram of sugar. Do you look at sugar in your diet. You didn't mention sugar in the video love that you eat potatoes great addition.
Yes I do look at sugar. I only mentioned sugar in the video with the shake n bake vs bran oats. My meal intake varies a lot when Iâm in training vs when Iâm not. My goal is to show my viewers you can grow muscle while still eating foods you enjoy especially since most do not compete. I think itâs bad that so many set the tone that you must walk around at 8% body fat. I donât walk around at 8% fat & donât want to.
Love your advice! Iâm turning 56 next week and Iâve been following your weight training plan for a couple of months. Iâve gone from 165 to 170 with no gains at the waist, Iâm seeing good results and I thank you. I appreciate your common sense approach. Your advice has helped me avoid injuries , because I try and leave my ego outside the gym. Itâs hard though. The young man in me wants to go heavy! But I hear your reminder to preserve joints, ligaments, and tendons and go light with higher reps. And itâs paying off!! Big thanks. Keep the advice coming. My next struggle, on my off days just go for a walk. I want to keep sweating.
Awesome to hear! Keep up all the great work & thank you for tuning in to the channel
Crushed flavored pork rinds are a good substitute for shake & bake.
What is your total protein intake for the day and how much per meal?
Depends on current goals but right now Iâm averaging about 210-225 grams a day. I spread it out through the day. Thanks
You had me at fried chicken lol. Subbed!
Thanks for the sub!
Never thought of preparing a chicken breast like this, can't wait to try it!
I think youâll like it!
@kevinfoley8105 Iâm with you on that! Going to have to pick up some Shake & Bake on my grocery run tomorrow
I've eaten thousands of baked potatoes over the decades. Will definitely try that cut up potato in olive oil ð
Hope you enjoy
All good except the processed food
When I think fried chicken, Iâm thinking KFC, what you make in an air fryer looks closer to baked chicken and is way better than either KFC or the boiled chicken and broccoli I see other influencers pushing. Thanks!
Air frying chicken? I'm going to look into that. Hate to admit this to you but I love KFC,
Brine your chicken. You'll thank me later. Lemon or lime juice with the right amount of salt are amazing if you enjoy those. Also, boneless skinless thighs work for people who just can't enjoy white meat, and tenderloins have a slightly different quality.
I know this advice increases sodium or fat grams so if our goal is to eat better, mind those. Even the tenderloin trick means more surface area, so a little more breading and oil. I've found that if I am consistently eating food I savor, when I'm controlling portions, knowing I will enjoy good food next meal makes portion control a little easier.
You done went and burnt dem poor eggs.
In every infantry squad there is always one hombre who burns the eggs. Always one
@@davidneal6920 Ever da'gum time.
I like poached eggs in a squeeze of vinegar.
Dad always said the most nutritious part of a potato is the skin. He was a Great Depression baby.
I have 1 cup of low-fat cottage cheese as a midday snack and that provides 26g of protein at only 180 calories.
My day also includes 3 eggs for breakfast and a piece of high fiber toast(that also has 6g of protein) w/ natural PB. Lunch is a Turkey or tuna sandwich(w/ a protein shake) and dinner is always chicken breasts or skinless bone-in thighs.
Great video man! Would you consider doing a video about growing calves? Iâve been struggling in that area.
For sure!
@@FitafterfifthyThanks!
I second what wissawissa83 says about genetics. Iâve read that some pro body builders have to get calf implants because no matter what they do, the calves will not look proportional to the rest of their body. I also have the same problem and chicken legs is a nickname I hear quite often ððð
Thanks guys. Iâm definitely suffering from the chicken legs. ð
I love âPuhtayduzâ
I like my potatoes air fried with a little seasoning and olive oil. Best fries I've ever made. 69 in August.
Awesome! Thanks for watching
Hi if you are diabetic would not the white potatoes spike your blood sugar.
If youâre diabetic you should only eat what your Dr. recommends.
Finaly a common sense approach.
Hey Bros ...leave the peels alone ...
Thank you very much
I do eat most of those too. For my oats, I mix them with kefir, Greek yogurt and a scoop of protein powder the night before and top it with berries for breakfast. And I put as many veggies as I can on my deli or chicken breast sandwiches I throw on greens, onions tomatoes and pickles mostly to make them more filling, but also for the nutrition and fiber
