    I love this design idea! Upright keeps the footprint low while the self-contained bucket collects over twice what the other home dehumidifiers can. Great idea Midea!

    I just purchased this unit a few hours ago and already love the design and options. Unit started working right away in my crawl space area. Started with 62 % humidity , took it down to 50 % in a few hours. I'm using the bucketless option since my floor sump is close by . The wireless app is super cool too. Very impressed so far , great product !!!!

    I own two of these and I'm about to buy a third. My house is 5.100 sf and 165 feet long on a single level in KY where the humidity gets crazy a few months out of the year. These have been life savers, honest to God. Easy to store in the winter and we just roll them out in the summer as needed. I haven't used the continuous drain feature yet because frankly I like to see how much water I'm dumping out of the bucket! LOL!

    This is a very good design, and after doing quite a bit of research on dehumidifiers in general, as I am replacing a Whirlpool unit that lasted me since 1991, and also a Sears unit that ran from about 1973 till maybe 4 or 5 years ago. Upon unboxing, I was very very impressed with how well packed this machine was, banding straps to ensure everything stays together, and the overall quality of this machine is beyond belief. This video is done exceptionally well, and I will leaf though the instruction manual and then get this new machine up and running. Thanks for making such a well thought out product, along with this highly informative and easy to understand video.

      @@MideaAmerica The first 20 hours or so have by far exceeded my expectations, 4 gallons within maybe 10 hours, then about 2.5 gallons over the next 8 or so. I'm at the point now where I can set the machine to a desired humidity level, and have it cycle nicely. Once again, outstanding product, and also of note this machine does not raise the inside temperture like my old one did.

      Nice video. The Midea unit worked fine at first. But after a few weeks the filter clean icon appeared and the dehumidifier stopped. The video makes it look easy, but I cannot get the air filter out. Which way do I squeeze? Make a new video showing air filter cleaning.

    • @nova31337

      To anyone having trouble getting the air filters out. You need to get enough traction to "lift" the tab out, pulling towards the front of the unit (the side where the console controls are located). I found I had to try to pull by pressing my finger hard against the side I wanted to pull it out towards, while trying to lift it out of its slot. It helped if I got a fingernail under it with my other hand to help pry it out. Once the filter tab/handle is out, it easy enough to pull out. This process would have been way easier if there was barest amount of a plastic lip to get your finger under to pull it out. Bad design on that part, but not a deal breaker.

    Hello. I have been using it for 3 days and it is very good so far. The first day it removed 4.7 liters of water from the air. I will be very curious about the heating season. I saw that many people have a lot of difficulty cleaning the filter due to pulling it out. That is why I just tried to pull it out now and it only took 20 seconds I managed to remove the 2 filters from the machine. It's not difficult, you just have to move it in and out a bit. We love it so far :)

    • @MideaAmerica
      @MideaAmerica  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can use bucketless mode which allows you to run the unit without the bucket in place. The included drain hose or a garden hose must be attached for proper bucketless mode operation. To activate bucketless mode, the following steps must be completed within three minutes of plugging the dehumidifier in.
      1. Press and hold the up and fill level buttons for 3 seconds until the bucketless icon appears on the display
      2. Ensure the dehumidifier is on flat level ground (free of debris)
      3. Make sure the hose for bucketless mode does not rise above the connection point on the unit
      4. Attempting to change the unit into bucketless mode while it is sitting on the bucket will have no effect.
      To remove the unit from bucketless mode, place the unit back on the bucket.

    He shows that you can set it up for continuous draining after putting the unit into bucket less mode, and then putting the unit back onto the bucket and attaching the hose. As soon as I do that, it cancels the bucketless mode and the water does not drain from the connected hose. Is there something else that needs to be done?

I cannot get the unit to change states when holding the up arrow and fill mode buttons when the unit is atop the bucket. Correct me if I'm wrong but is it not the purpose of the depressible grey tabs on the unit and the protrusions on the bucket to somehow set a mode of the unit? To summarize: My goal is to have the unit on the bucket, and draining using the gravity drain port into a pump already utilize that goes to the stack, but also have the bucket under the unit in case the pump failed and the unit would then start filling the bucket until it shuts itself off.

    Do you remove the drain plug when using it in bucket mode?

    • @MideaAmerica
      @MideaAmerica  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your question! The drain cap should be removed, and the included drain hose or a garden hose must be attached and sloped towards the drain for proper bucketless mode operation. Have a great day!

      @@MideaAmerica You misunderstood my question. I want to use the unit in bucket mode, meaning I don't want to attach a hose to the unit. I want to drain the water manually. In that situation, do I need to remove the cap that covers the drain hole?

    • @MideaAmerica
      @MideaAmerica  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We apologize for the confusion! To drain from the bucket, you'll grab the unit's handle, carry it to the desired drainage point, and pour from a front corner of the bucket (the bucket window is on the front side). The drain plug will not need to be removed since you're not attaching a hose.

    bought mine 3 days ago. but it hasnt collected a single drop of water.
    it says i have 31% humidity level and it only goes down to 35% . so i put it on continuous mode and even with 24 hrs of it being on. not a single drop of water was collected.
    is it cus the humidity level is too low? but my previous humidifier would collect water even when it read 30% humidity before it crapped out on me.
    so is it designed to just not collect water under 35% humidity? or is my unit defective?

      Where do you live that your humidity is 31%? The sahara desert? And if so, why would you want to remove even more moisture from the air to go even lower in humidity? Below 30% humidity dries out your body terribly. Also, the lower the humidity, the harder it gets to remove even more moisture from the air, so if this unit has a 35% setting minimum humidity, it's not designed to lower your levels below that. Its almosy like asking why can't your oven heat to 900° when you set it to 450°. Duh because it can't go that high. This unit can't go that low in humidity.

    I bought this dehumidifier because i had gone through 4 electrolux- frigidaire-nom-honeywell ones in 36 months... i hope this one does not die on me like the others did. Midea response team: you may want to revisit your instruction manual to make it more intuitive... like not clear what the pump mode is for...

      Hello, @christopherpalmer4243, thanks for your question. These devices are not air conditioners but dehumidifiers. They remove moisture from the air, which helps prevent mold, mildew, musty odors, and condensation in humid locations.
