Good video. I have a crawl space and keep the humidity at 50% RH. This allows me to keep a higher temp in the house. The crawl space humidity can be higher as the temp decreases in winter and mold will not form. Did not hear you mention crawl spaces.

For a home up North with winters and has a temp of 70*F when cooling, but built on a marshland/wetland so the humidity in the home is 60-70% including winter (verified with numerous hygrometers and psychrometers) how would you size a whole home dehumidifier?

What size April air for a 3000 sq ft home in Houston do you recommend? Tired of feeling wet at night and a new variable ac is just to dam expensive. I may just add a 28 seer 1 ton mini split and have the constantly working to take the load off my 5 ton unit.

1st method for install is terrible and is recirculating dehumidified air. 1st and second methods require the hvac fan to be “on” when dehumidifying. 3rd method is the correct installation method. It should be installed with backdraft damper and ran any time dehum is needed with a controller mounted in the house. I feel like you didn’t read the manual.
