Looks good, Austin. Quite a few of my cars have had footwell lighting (most, if not all, since my 2018 BRZ), but since I'm rarely driving at night anymore I don't really notice it now!
@@Gonin60 I absolutely loved it. Only had it about 4 months before it was unfortunately totaled in an accident, but the time I had with it was great. Went to the 2019 STI after that, but I missed the lightweight rear wheel drive feeling so much I traded that in after about 8 or 9 months and bought a 2020 Mazda MX-5. I was actually planning on trying to get one of the new Toyota GR86s if my attempt to get the Camaro didn't work out (fortunately though, it did).
@@saviordream okay I remember you talking about the WRX. That’s cool you enjoyed it but sorry to hear it being totaled. Glad you are enjoying the Camaro. Such a great car! Keep your eyes out for a BRZ on my channel. :)
@@Gonin60 Awesome, looking forward to seeing it on the channel. Still hope to have another BRZ/GR86 some day (maybe as a new daily when I want to change out from the Fiesta ST...)
I’m curious, by plugging it to the OEM headlight dimmer, does it control both the headlights and the LED kit simultaneously? Did you somehow disconnect the headlights and control only the LED kit? Is it better to order a new OEM dimmer in order to be able to control both the headlights and the LED kit?
I would say it controls dash lights and footwell. The dimmer switch shouldn't affect headlights. Getting another dimmer switch would give you independent adjustment of dash and footwell kit, but it would require wiring it to power.
I followed your directions to a T and the blue lights do not seem to be on. No other way to really mess up the connections. I checked that everything was seated well, but no luck. The dash works and dims properly, but the two LEDs do not seem to be getting power as they are not lighting. Unless they are so dim you can only see them at night. I will tonight and go from there.
Followed your instructions from start to finish. Easiest install thus far, thanks to you! I just wish it was brighter for the price point..
Thank you!!
I am going to start 3D printing these with a full schematic online for free because the fact this is over $25 is astonishing.
Yeah
I bought his footwell light kit off him from this video all the way in Massachusetts just got delivered today in the mail 👌
Thanks man! Let me know how it goes.
@@Gonin60 will do was just about to install it too but now heavy rain 🌧️ 😩
@@Gonin60 Install was super easy thank to your video.
@ very kind of you. Thanks!
In my opinion, you should have your detail stuff in this channel and make it another Playlist, more videos on this channel will help the algorithm
I did this early on but decided to break it out on its own channel. Separate channel to monetize.
@@Gonin60 gotcha, hope it works out!
@@txkingg me too! Who knows maybe I made the wrong move.
@Gonin60 haha I hope not,! Either way all you would have to do is upload that content here on a schedule
@@txkingg very true my friend! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Have some more detailing vids coming in the next few weeks or so

Thanks man! I don’t know why I forgot your BRZ. How did you like it?

Can’t remember since it’s been a minute to be honest

Any trouble shoot tips I installed these as instructed no lights 🤦♂️ but the dimmer works
Hmm I would double check where you have things plugged in at the dimmer
Same thing for me
Do you know of any quality 3rd party footwell lighting that’s plug and play that allows you to change colors?
Yes. Govee
Does it stay all the time or only at night? I was thinking taping into the light under the screen cubby area
At night I believe
Do they only come on when the car is actually on I plug everything is and if it’s just the key on they don’t light up
I believe it’s when you r lights are on
Yeah I figured it out haha 😂 silly me didn’t have one of the plugs in all the way
@@Sumdumbwelder glad you figured it out!
Is it possible to put brighter bulbs maybe?
Potentially. I’m not really sure.
Time to give us a garage tour video!
For sure!!
im trying to figure out why the blue kit won't work on the 2024 outback the only option is the plain white
I’m not sure those kits are meant for Wrx
Your a good man
Thank you!
I would cut the ends of the zip ties, looks cleaner imo
Thanks!

You can only see them at night
I had the same issue and cant see the light
The footwell kit is a bit dim for me too.
Sorry to hear
Would these fit on a 2020 wrx
I’m not sure
amazing to me that car companies will manufacture brackets and have everything in place for the item, but not include it and charge you extra.
Yeah
