I really like the hidden grim element of having drivers actually pass away. It’s very rare to see that thing in racing games, let alone management games.
Not a bad little management sim, if you ask me. Could do with a few more entries on the grid - after all, race entry in F1 back in the seventies was really ad hoc and the races were essentially glorified run-what-ya-brung events right up until the early 80's and some shortarse named Bernie decided to standardise the F1 calendar.
Sadly no intro comments, because I watched this in a stream, and the nature of the game makes it impossible to make those Top Gear-like lines. So instead, a viewpoint: Not a bad race management game based on F1. Looks fun. ^w^
Ehh having played it myself it definitely lacks a lot compared to motorsport manager, the arcade elements are fun at least but I hope they introduce some new features
Unrelated to this game, but I just had an interesting idea for your driven until destruction series What if you did it as a group either in the same cars or different and you could have upgrades once a round for some added fun Related to this game I love it, it reminds me a lot of a motorsport manager game I've had on my phone for years
I understand why people like this game, but i just wish there was more happening visually. Sure I'm able to imagine the race, but i think it would've been way better to actually see it
The gaps aren't particularly accurate for the era. Around a mid-length track like Watkins Glen the top 20 would be within a 3s window, thanks in no small part to almost every car using the same engine. The 80s was the decade with the big gaps.
Seems cool but not very 70s. You could use other teams cars in the 70s still, and you could have more than 3 cars, and the grids were larger as well. This seems like 2020 F1 but with more breakdowns.

Died battling his teammate for the lead. Imagine how awful that would be IRL.
RIP Mach. We hardly knew ya.
F for Levi Mach
Heart wrenching stuff
Ordered some Levi Mach merch halfway through the race. Gutted :(
Look on the bright side, itll be worth more now!
I heavily relate to the compelling nature of watching the number 14 go round a circle, motorsport manager games just scratch my brain the right way.

glorified run what ya brung shut up
Happy to see more Golden Lap, it's fun, quirky little game.
What a great game! Would definitely love a little series on this!
I've had a few races in this where I've had to go full Ferrari and adopt plans G, J and Z to salvage anything.

It reminds me of Motorsport Manager but with more substance.
I though exactly that when I saw the thumbnail , was like huh odd for him to do a mobile game 😂
The mobile version I take it? Because this is way more simplistic than the PC version.

@@isjustmichaelyeah. The PC Motorsport Manager version has a lot more depth than this.
golden lap multiplayer would go dummy hard
I love this. We need more of it
I love how Mach gets the little skull and crossbones next to his name
This is super interesting. Definitely adding the game to my wishlist, would be interested in seeing more of your own playthrough if you're up to it!
I used to work for that track, and I live 5 minutes away. Cool to see it in this game as F1 hasn’t run it since 1980
More of these, please.

saw this video. I now own the game. Sold! :D
Can we have more of this?
Motorsport manager but artsy
33:30 - Can someone explain why 3rd place is behind 4th place?
They're lapped. You can look at the times on the leaderboard to see that.
I think I've found my new jam. Thanks!

"It's going to get wet quick." They all do.
Very 1970s
Well this is a new one, curious.
The skull and crossbones, yikes.
Art of Rally was amazing, wish they'd just carried on updating that but charging for DLC. This game looks like a hard pass.

Looks like a very early Atari game released shortly after Pong. To each their own.
Except that would have had 8 bit graphics and this definitely doesn't.
It looks nothing like that. It doesn't even look like the games on the Atari cartridge system.
