Feels like a simplified Motorsport Manager. I would probably only purchase it on release if it has some features over MM or at least is more realistic, otherwise it's not worth it unless it's a lot cheaper. Seems good so far though. Would also love some multiplayer, it to be the first non lootbox based multiplayer motorsport management game I know of.
Technically, some of the old 90s manager games have multiplayer, but good luck getting one working nowadays.
If you're willing to drop the real-time aspect in exchange for generally greater depth and variety plus free access, I know a bunch of Discord-based management games that operate on weekly "turns," so to speak. Basically, play-by-post. I can drop some links if you're interested. :)

The qualifying gaps weren't too big in the 70's, as the majority of the field had the same engine.
Sure, it wasn't nearly as close as it is in 2024, but on most tracks 3 seconds covered the first 20 and everyone usually qualified within 107% (of course that rule was still 20+ years away).
Played the demo the other day. Was really fun.
I managed to fraud a 1-2 for fake brm at a wet Silverstone race. Got lucky with a red flag caused by one of the march drivers that ended up dying from the crash.
Unsure how to feel about that tbh.
Also worth noting a shadow came 3rd
Checked up, and I have made a list of each fictional team to the RL counterpart they are either based on or possibly close to:
* Ezzolini -> Ferrari (Obviously)
* LaBrahn -> McLaren (Though in 1970, it was Team McLaren Ford)
* Chapman -> Lotus (Team Lotus Ford in 1970)
* Weyland -> Tyrerell
* Bancroft -> Brabham (logo might be snake fangs, unsure)
* BFC -> BRM
* Vichy -> Equipe Ligier (font might be close to it, but some differences)
* April -> March Engineering (Team March Ford in 1970)
* Night -> Shadow (though the H doesn't match that one's logo...
I can't place Pape, but its word is Scottish in origin.
Pape (looking at the 1970 F1 grid) would likely either be Surtees(n't) or Williams(n't, and at this point it's not Williams GP, but Frank Williams Racing Cars)
Also while Guy Ligier raced in F1 as late as 1969, Equipe Ligier wasn't formed until 1976, you're likely thinking of Equipe Matra, which was participating in its first season after Tyrrell split off.

Weyland is Williams I think since that's similar to a sponsor they had back then

Ah yes, made by the excellent Funselektor team! This is clearly a very different style to Art of Rally, so hopefully will be even half as good as that fantastic game!

The mobile versions of motorsport manager have very similar mechanics to this and also use the dots. I wonder if the game is going to play more like that version.
As a naughty free subscriber who doesn't support the channel through TH-cam premium or Patreon I will say I did make a sacrifice today, I watched a 20 minute advert from PodFm.
Amazingly too there's some great news for you Alex, as you will inherit 86 Million dollars, you're family have been observing you and waiting for you to meet the correct criteria and congratulations you have.
You get access to the Sky Bank of New York, have now access to your two super cars, 10 diamonds of what ever carrots as I can't remember and 3 original Picasso's stored in a bank in France.
So good news all round I can't tell you what happens next because that was the end of the advert, except you did bump into a girl at the bank who thought you was a poor person, who then goes onto slag you off at a dinner party that you actually attend so maybe you can fill us all in as to what happens next in your next video 😂😂
This reminds me so much of a brilliant game called Formula One for the ZX Spectrum 😯
reading the bios Weyland is def tyrell, Bancroft is Brabham, Pope is Williams, April - march , Vichy is Ligier they weren't around til 76 but they were named after a guy (Matra wasn't) and had a smoking habit, Ferrari, Mclaren, BRM, Lotus and Shadow are fairly obvious.

I’m guessing vichy (ouch on that reference…) is meant to be Matra, which had their own (not run by Ken Tyrell) team by then.

This looks like the mobile version of Motorsport Manager but set in the 70's
By the looks of things, that Retorcido circuit is based on Jarama only with a few more twists and turns. At the time it hosted the Spanish Grand Prix races, despite it being too twisty and tight for 70's F1. In fact, think of the Catalunya circuit, only more narrower and operated by race organisers that preferred playing golf.
This looks like a fun game, although I would have preferred the visuals to be like Art Of Rally. I'm guessing that this version of Rally Buddha would be wearing a "Sex: Breakfast Of Champions" t-shirt.
A cool detail I just noticed is that if u listening carefully u can hear the other cars fly by the pits
I like the idea of this game, but i cant get behind just watching dots move around a screen. I can pretend and its not that i dont have an imagination, its that it gives me absolutely nothing
I would watch another episode if you were inclined Mr.FailRace.
yeah this is not the game for,, can;t understand the appeal of management stuff and watching some dots move round a track lol
