I love playing the dwarf factions and for me your rating for this faction is spot on since as long as you keep Dale and dominion in the fight you are safe to fight gundabad. My only thing I would like to spice this faction up would be a script that as king of durin folk have to make your people a power house again but other then that one of easiest factions in game
The defense of erebor seems a bit underwhelming as per the defenses of the gate itself, all the buildings with no attack. Its just a gate. Also if reinforcements come in to help, they just get stuck behind a mountain. Two of my best units were trapped and couldn't help in a defenseless city.

@ So if I installed the game in the wrong folder at the start and had to move it to where my med 2 was, does that mean the axethrowers wont work unless I reinstall the mod?
I'm sorry to be nit-picking xD But in the chapter "Many Meetings" in lotr, Gloin tells Frodo that the dwarves of Erebor make good weapons and armor, but only in building have they surpassed the craft/knowledge of the old days. This implies that the dwarves of Erebor at the end of the third age have weapon-smithing that is very much average when compared to dwarven craftmanship of old. So there is some precedence for arguing that the dwarves of Erebor should not have the top-most armor tier in the game, but should be surpassed by factions like Khazad-Dum (simulating the expedition discovering ancient armor-sets and recipes for metal alloys, not to mention mithril) and maybe even High Elves, who has a whole gameplay-event centered around re-discovering noldor smith-craft and getting armor upgrades from it.

All dwarves have the highest armour ratings. That isnt exclusive to Erebor.

That isn't it either I'm afraid... The message basically states that Rhun will attack me if I expand further eastward. I have only ever gotten it while playing as Erebor (haven't played Dale). I did expand, nothing noticeable happened. That's why I'm asking.
Rhūn next ?
Btw I never knew Azog was a thing outside of the movies, maybe I had a different book Version but in Mine only Bolg existed
Azog was killed by Dain Ironfoot during the battle of Azanulbizar before the gates of Moria. It happened something like 140 years before the Hobbit. I do not remember if it was discussed in the book or not.
@@Vampirewolfking thx, guess it wasn't mentioned
how can i get elite units on woodland realm. i can not even build the second archery building.
Kings sheilds ??? It’s your main unit btw
galu I think you missed out a unit from erebors roster I have played a dale campaign in version 4.5 and as dale you can recruit a Erebor unit called the kings shields however they weren't shown in the video have I missed them ? or have they been removed ?
Are the ironhills units from the hobbit movies in the game
in the last version I could not recruit units from Kirikhgathol, why is that?
Will you be posting a little patch for the values of those 2 units in the discord server?
The Kings Halberds are actually a pike unit, I have since been told. So their low attack is on purpose.
However they have been cut from V5 anyway.
@ oh, I see, everything alrighty then. Keep up the good work :D
Boooooooo don’t get rid of them!!!
I want to start a new campaign with Mordor, but this this i want to have Sauron from the start. How can i use the console command to get the right at first turn?
maybe the drawves should have a better crew for catapult/balista
Agreed
give them more armor or bigger area projectiles
How do I get the dwarven catapult?? I cant see it aviable on the siege building list at any city
You can shield wall but you cant :D Useful
In my version of v4.5 kings halberds are
Attack 5
Charge 6
Total defence 20
Armour 15
Remember his overview was without any upgrades from smithies and/or Guilds
YEEEEEEEESSS RHUN IS NEXT
Could someone explain to me what "Morale Response" is? Also is it worth having pike wall on for pike and halberd units ? I remember some mods tweeking the mechanic for pikes
Morale repsonse is broken down into 4 tiers and it dictates how well a unit deals with morale shocks - death of a general, being flanked, losing troops etc.
@ ah ok. Thank you. Been playing the Dorwinion campaign. I was really intrigued to play a moriquendi faction.
Blesshh gooo
May I ask what do we have to do to just see the troops battling, like in 27:39 ?
Set it up in your own game?
Custom battle
What does Stubbornness of the Dwarves do?
could you make the look of weapons and armor like in hobbit battle of five armies?
Upgrade your armies at the blacksmith.
Erebor op-op-strat: take Dale and esgaroth in the second turn, then really Dale or kill them of
Why would you kill dale they keep rhun from killing you
@@galvatron0810 i mean you can probably re-ally them. Just if that doesn't work-> crush them.
@@letoatreides5165 lol yeah just steal their 2 biggest cities, during my bree campaign i took erebor, esgaroth, and dale from dale, i guess gundabad took erebor and dale took it from them because they were still allies, and i was making over 20k a turn from just those 3 settlements
@@galvatron0810 exactly xD.
I have a problem installing divide and conquer V4.5 I tried to run and I got an error, you know maybe what is the reason?
More informations please ?
Watch the installation video again
*I have arrive as early as possible*
King's Halberds actually still use the pike animation which means that the 3 armour piercing attack damage is incredibly strong because of how fast the animation is. They're one of the best units in the game because they are essentially just armour piercing pikes which is insane
7 in the morning in Europe
@Galu, is the ax throwers working properly now?
When i started capmaign with Rhun i had only 1 settlement but here the have much more. Why is that?
AI starting territories are different from the player
@@jamaly77 THX
I tried playing the dwarves snow orcs are way too tough
My game crashes everytime the axe throwers starts to throw their axes. Any idea on how I can solve this?
Install the game as per the instructions. If you rename your folder or you copied and pasted the install, then they will crash.
@ So if I installed the game in the wrong folder at the start and had to move it to where my med 2 was, does that mean the axethrowers wont work unless I reinstall the mod?
Erebor is a 1.
@ Cool, makes sense with the mithril-armorsmith.
Erebor should have infinite money. That giant pile of money in there didn't just disappear.
I played Erebor a lot and money already never ends, in turn ~100 you can already have 500 000+ gold. Even easier than Khazad-Dum
A couple things
Please for the love of all that is holy take Dale off the Erebor battle map
The halberd unit kind of uses the pike animation, they are very strong and easily crush iron crown halberds despite having half the attack and the same defense while also having 40 less men
What about the dwarven grudges script?
Why no Goat cavalry? Big oversight imo.
Never existed in Tolkiens lore. The visuals in the mod might be inspired from the Hobbit movies and part of the mod is fanfiction to fill in the map and different rosters, but dwarfs having goat cavalry is a direkte betrayal of the lore and was stupid in the movie
Currently way too easy cause of the almost unlimited money. Mines are too good imo.
lore-accurate tho i ain’t complaining
Could you in the future add scripts as a timestamp?
Thoughts on Ram Riders (à la @Battle of the Five armies') as a possible dwarven calvary for Erebor?
Galu has said on several occasions that goat cavalry will never be in the mod as long as he's the leader of the team.
@@Vampirewolfkingapologies, only started playing DAC 2 months ago so was unaware that it had been asked multiple times.
I watched the battle scenes in the battle of the five armies after making that comment and it reminded me at how inferior the hobbit was compared to Lord of the rings. Completely understandable not to want the rams as part of the game
Matthew Williamson It’s cus the goat cav goes against everything Tolkien wrote. He would be disappointed if he saw the goat riders.
it would be so cool if they made Mountain Goat Calvary , like in the battle of the 5 armies
Unless if you read the books that is! xD
Commander Sol it was just a hope it would be a great counter to wargs
Only one question where are my GOATS and GOAT chariots :'( At least one cavalry dwarf nation pls
I dont see why the dwarves need a Generalized Occupational Aptitude Test
TSJ as much we want to see the glorious goat/ram riders or chariots but sadly
It was soo heavily restricted from toikien lore called "lore breaking", balance in the game and few unit slots ;-;
Goat cavalry makes no sense.
@@Vampirewolfking At least they were in movie and developers already added a lot from it
@@tsj8726 Because the things they added are not lore breaking, dwarven cavalry is.
Actually you ruined erbor and weakend them a lot
Why?
@@MrVictor1227 Man dragoslayers are worse than they were so is axeguard of Erbeor, and defencive stats are also a lot worse which is also stupid because dwarfs were ment to have the best defencive stats in the game
@@stefanblazic4316 weak against which faction exactly?
@@stefanblazic4316 they diversified the Dwarfen factions. Erebor is the aggressive one with throwing axes, Ered Luin is defensive with pikes and crossbows, while Khazad dum has the best armour and high quality, but expensive, main line units.
Im playing erebor rn on very hard/very hard and im not having a problem right now, i actually feel like erebor is easier than ered luin and khazad dum because the area you start with is such a money maker and gundabad dies so easily
