Hey, man. Thanks for the tutorial! I had tried this, pretty much to the letter, last night, to no avail but after trying today, I think I'm finally getting somewhere. The way I got around the Sahara error was to open the MSM download tool regularly, instead of as an administrator. It then downloaded all the files successfully and now I'm just waiting for my phone to charge a bit before trying anything further. Good work!
You're the best ! Thank you for your help. This still works. Don't panic when your phone reboots and you see that the contrast is off and a bunch of other glitches. Once your system updates (OTA). Everything will be normal and stock. Again, thank you so much for this upload.

so many tutorials on this same software that are impossible to understand because of the bad accents and/or typing in a txt file to substitute actual instruction. liked and subscribed man
This worked and I'm back to Android 6 on mine and will be installing OTAs now, however there's some extreme screen glitching now. The screen looks dim and as if there's tons of burn-in. It's just completely screwed up in the brightness and contrast too. The colors are off. It even does that on the very first menu where it warns you about an unlocked bootloader and on the update process, which is extremely worrying. What's going on? It was fine before, I just wanted to reset the phone and go back to 100% stock OOS. EDIT: gone after the first OTA, seems like a bug from installing a very old stock image. Also nice that you can get back to the latest version in just two huge OTAs.

Yes, after following this method and returning to stock, you can still install TWRP, root and flash custom ROMs. If you check out the Device Tutorials section at www.AndroidExplained.com, then looking in the OnePlus 3/3T category, you'll find guides for installing TWRP, rooting and flashing custom ROMs. There are still some who have trouble with TWRP on the OnePlus 3/3T since it hasn't been officially updated to support Nougat, but the modded version included in the guide should get by that issue if you ever come across it. I never came across the issue, but others has, and you can simply install the modded version of TWRP on top of the original one if you want to try it out first.
I followed this tutorial because my phone screen was completely unresponsive. This deleted everything? Why didn't you say that this is just a factory reset? You can press factory reset on the recovery mode. What is the point of the tool or the downloading if it just factory resets everything.
Mate, I want to say I appreciate your step-by-step instructions on unbricking Oneplus, but I have to say I am not most delighted when I find out that all my data got wiped out at the end of this unbrick. You should have said that the process will wipe out entirely all your data and don't recover them.
I'm sorry you weren't aware that unbricking a phone meant that you were installing a fresh new copy of OxygenOS on the phone. I do try to make videos that even 1st timers will be able to follow and that's something I should have mentioned. However, if your phone was soft-bricked, the data was gone anyway. There would have been no way of getting that data back. Period. So you either had the choice of unbricking and losing your data. . .or leaving it bricked, which still meant you lost your data. But again, I'm sorry that I wasn't more clear in the video
I have tried everything, i just cant seem to get my OnePlus 3 to work. Or did my phone go in some special mode (i'm a noob so i don't root or something like that) 2/ After I started my phone, I tried again to update the system... but it's freezing again during the update. That's great news! :) The phone is completely stock so all OTA updates should work unless you go in and mod it. I'm not sure about the language part though. I imagine that you can go into the Settings application and change the language to French.

My 1+ 3T suddenly won't turn on. I tried this but when downlowding complete and text color turns green, the phone doesn't restart, It gets desconnected from the computer for a second and it reconnect again, then, the msndownloadtool redo the whole intalling process. it do the same thing over and over. I inplugged the phone when the complete text turned gree and tried to hard start the phone but it didn't start .. seems like nothing works :/

Hi, I am having issues in this process. It shows "Firehose GetUfsinfo failed" and yellowish white LED is on and some seconds after it goes to orange and goes back to yellowish white. I tried 4 5 different tool packages from different sources, all in vain. When installing the driver, I get an error code 28 (driver not installed; Driver is not intended for this platform.) Thus unable to get the device to be read as Qualcomm....9008 Also, unlike your video, the downloaded driver from the link does not give me two folders as in the x86 and x64 but instead a file named 'qscer' Help !
In the MSM Download tool I get an error: NO.2 No Device Sahara Communication Failed Please try again after power off phone. But the phone is off, in the special boot mode...
If nothing happens when you press and hold the power button, it makes me wonder if the battery is dead. Even if a phone is 'bricked' it will at least boot to a logo, let you boot into Recovery Mode, Fastboot Mode, etc. Software won't prevent a phone from turning on at all

Just a quick question, will this process still work if the phone was turned off unexpectedly, won't turn on, when plugged with the charger only shows red notification and OnePlus Logo and after that goes black ? Recently upgraded to Android Pie the official update via Oxygen updater. Bootloader still locked. Not rooted either.
Once I turned off my phone and it didn't turn on again and I was on stock at the time and what I had to do was boot to the recovery I believe you do this by pressing the volume up/down button and the power button at the same time then wait until it boots to the recovery then restart your phone manually but don't quote me on this just go online and check before you try this because I don't want to break your phone. Hope this helps.
@@samsaju453 I resolved my case by removing the battery and then reinstalling it, as it turns out the battery terminal was loose. Plugged it back properly and voilà, my phone came back to life.
My driver can not update my one plus 3 in device manager. it is listed as ONEPLUSA3000...and It does not detect in the unbricking tool. CAN SOME ONE HELP. I Have a black brick screen.
I think so, but I'm not 100% certain. Check for an OTA system update after you return to stock and that will show you if it's the latest version or not.
I'm Using Oneplus 3, After "download complete" message my phone restarts, After the boot image, my phone display became blank, only the white notification light is on & I can't even access the recovery mode as well. The issue is still the same after this unbrick process. I have read a thread on the Oneplus community that one guy tried putting the phone on the freezer, the Same thing I tried with my Car AC, At this point, I can get into recovery mode (This is too freak) Once the phone heats again, the issue continues. Is this a hardware issue? Please help.
I'm having the same issue .. when I restart the device, only blank lime colored screen shows up and I cant get anywhere. Only the notifications light works when plugged in. How did you fix this?
@@astropiu4753 I purchased a new phone bro. Old one is still not working. It was a hardware issue, When the phone heats up, it automatically restarting and landing to the blank screen with a white notification light.
@@vishnurnair_ Thanks for the reply! Mine seems to be an OS issue because , I was able to get into fastboot mode before this unbrick procedure. Now the whole screen goes blank with different shades of green backlight
Hi I've done these steps and it appears that the download has completed (and turned green) however the phone doesn't auto start and the same cycle happens on MSMdownload over and over again. I've tried to stop it and unplug it however the phone is still stuck and doesn't boot up :'( any ideas? Thanks
I've had this issue before, and the only way I found to get around it was to just keep trying. Force close the program, relaunch it and then try again. I had to do this for about 10-15 minutes over and over again until it ended up working. I think that error means there is some kind of connectivity issues with OnePlus' servers.

I'm not sure why that issue would happen. It sounds like a driver issue, but if it shows up in Device Manager exactly as detailed then I'm not sure. I would report this bug in the XDA thread here - forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/how-to/unbrick-unbrick-tutorial-oneplus-3t-t3515306

I inplugged the phone when the complete text turned gree and tried to hard start the phone but it didn't start .. seems like nothing works :/

My phone shows up as Qualcomm 9008 under ports in device manager but only for a few seconds before disappearing so I can't go any further, and idea to what would cause that?

Hi, I am having issues in this process.
It shows "Firehose GetUfsinfo failed" and yellowish white LED is on and some seconds after it goes to orange and goes back to yellowish white.
I tried 4 5 different tool packages from different sources, all in vain.
Please tell me what could be the reason behind this as soon as possible as this is my daily phone and i dont have any spare phone.
(PS - i had the bootloader unlocked, had installed TWRP )

I REALLY NEED HELP !!! My Oneplus 3T with rom stock is not turning ON anymore, when I try to turn the phone on, it just keeps restarting on the boot screen, it opens the lock screen like 2 seconds and restarts again. I can not unlock before it restarts. I need a lot of my data that is in the internal memory, like photos, documents, etc.
Is there any way I can retrieve this data? I NEED HELP! PLEEEEASE!

If nothing happens when you press and hold the power button, it makes me wonder if the battery is dead. Even if a phone is 'bricked' it will at least boot to a logo, let you boot into Recovery Mode, Fastboot Mode, etc.

Please Help me, use MsmDownloadTool V3.06 normally, even at the end it says "Download Complete". When the process finishes when the OP3T restarts, it shows "md5 checksum failed". Help!

tried it and nothing happens :( . The problem occured after I tried to install the latest OS update.

Recently upgraded to Android Pie the official update via Oxygen updater. Bootloader still locked. Not rooted either.
Once I turned off my phone and it didn't turn on again and I was on stock at the time and what I had to do was boot to the recovery I believe you do this by pressing the volume up/down button and the power button at the same time then wait until it boots to the recovery then restart your phone manually but don't quote me on this just go online and check before you try this because I don't want to break your phone. Hope this helps.
@@samsaju453 I resolved my case by removing the battery and then reinstalling it, as it turns out the battery terminal was loose. Plugged it back properly and voilà, my phone came back to life.

My driver can not update my one plus 3 in device manager. it is listed as ONEPLUSA3000...and It does not detect in the unbricking tool. CAN SOME ONE HELP. I Have a black brick screen.
When that program downloads stuff, does it get the latest version they have?
I think so, but I'm not 100% certain. Check for an OTA system update after you return to stock and that will show you if it's the latest version or not.

I'm Using Oneplus 3, After "download complete" message my phone restarts, After the boot image, my phone display became blank, only the white notification light is on & I can't even access the recovery mode as well. The issue is still the same after this unbrick process. I have read a thread on the Oneplus community that one guy tried putting the phone on the freezer, the Same thing I tried with my Car AC, At this point, I can get into recovery mode (This is too freak) Once the phone heats again, the issue continues. Is this a hardware issue? Please help.
I'm having the same issue .. when I restart the device, only blank lime colored screen shows up and I cant get anywhere. Only the notifications light works when plugged in. How did you fix this?
@@astropiu4753 I purchased a new phone bro. Old one is still not working. It was a hardware issue, When the phone heats up, it automatically restarting and landing to the blank screen with a white notification light.
@@vishnurnair_ Thanks for the reply! Mine seems to be an OS issue because , I was able to get into fastboot mode before this unbrick procedure. Now the whole screen goes blank with different shades of green backlight

If you can't see the device in the application to star the wipe process, it sounds like there is some sort of driver conflict

I've done these steps and it appears that the download has completed (and turned green) however the phone doesn't auto start and the same cycle happens on MSMdownload over and over again. I've tried to stop it and unplug it however the phone is still stuck and doesn't boot up :'(

I've had this issue before, and the only way I found to get around it was to just keep trying. Force close the program, relaunch it and then try again. I had to do this for about 10-15 minutes over and over again until it ended up working. I think that error means there is some kind of connectivity issues with OnePlus' servers.

All I can suggest is that you keep trying. Eventually the connection to OnePlus' servers will work properly and you won't get that error.

You'll have to be more specific when you say 'there is no program that works'. What doesn't work. What error pops up. What happens when you try to follow the steps ON MY WEBSITE
Android Explained it asks what to open the program with but doesn’t have a program to select to open the files with
if you want to open rar or iso file you can do that with 7zip but for msm there is an aplication not an iso image
