@@spectre3492his velocity on the drums. Plays Joey’s parts to a T without being off Tempo, Jay sometimes would speed up…as solid as a drummer Jay is Eloy fits the part better for such an aggressive band.
@@spectre3492 he's much more creative than Jay on the drums, the fills, the speed, the tempo.. he does pretty much everything better.. Not to say that Jay is bad, if he was, he wouldn't have stayed with them for 10 fucking years, Eloy is just on another level right now

Ouvia apenas soad e outros clássicos, slipknot ficou na minha adolescência que achava um máximo os cara tacando o foda-se, aquelas máscaras assustadoras, achava massa demais, mas nao era tão fã, gosto do rock mais melodico dos anos 70, e mano to cagando pra quem acha que isso é ser modinha, o cara ja foi vaiado e ta ai mostrando que ele é o mais brabo de todos, e percebi que quem ganhou foi o slipknot com chegada dele, eu me animei com tudo isso e com certeza trouxe energia pra banda… vem com esse papo de modinha só mostra o quanto vc é triste, vai ser feliz otario

Cara não tem como não estar orgulhoso do Eloy, o cara corre atrás desde moleque, estuda 24h por dia, treina pesado pra manter o físico em dia pra aguentar o jeito de tocar que ele mesmo impôs, tem uma criatividade absurda, e toca como se a vida dele estivesse por um fio e dependesse disso pra sair com vida do show. Incrível senhoras e senhores, todo mundo pode ser excelente em algo ao se dedicar 100 por cento. O Eloy é 300 por cento pq ele não é humano.

The ironic part is that he plays the songs at the right tempo front to end, which makes it easier to play live, unlike Jay who sped parts up and messed them up all the time.

Their whole vibe is different. They all got clean, got in shape, got the old drum sound back, and found their menacing energy we haven't seen in years. I'm interested is Slipknot again. Didn't think that was gonna happen.

Watch Disasterpieces on DVD with a surround set. I'm pretty sure Eloy studied that performance for years, it was Joey in his prime and inspired countless great metal drummers for the ages. I'm interested to hear what Eloy is going to write, this might be a chance at redemption from Slipknot...my only hope is they STFU whatever label they suck on right now and find the balls to mourn properly Joey with the fans, it's all we ask to be able to move on and enjoy this new chapter.
@@or1on89 Yip I've seen that DVD and I I completely agree Joey was obviously the one who wrote the parts on the vast majority of slipknots catalogue. Eloy is doing the parts justice aswell as adding his own flair to it. I seen slipknot when they first came to the UK In the late 90s so I'm well aware of Joeys playing and talent

People were saying that he was playing to a click, because of the footage showing the metronome. But, he is just referencing the metronome app at the start of songs to get a feel for the tempo. He's definitely not playing to a click on the tracks where the guitar starts the song. Because the guitar is setting the tempo and neither guitarist is wearing in ear monitors. Craig Reynolds also knows some of the guys in Slipknot and has confirmed that the band definitely don't use a click. It's possible that Eloy is playing to a click on some of the tracks he starts the song though, because he has an in ear monitor on. Could just be that he likes to hear the other instruments clearly though. He's also not using triggers and the full sounding bass drums sound awesome.
