She then goes on telling me that she has been listening to his music since he started in Slipknot, even though I was the one wearing his mask and a Slipknot tee-shirt
It hard to watch him sing "Slipknot" songs without his mask and the 8 other guys. Needs to leave them songs with "Slipknot". When I see him singing "Slipknot" songs like this. It reminds me of "KISS" without their makeup, no way!! It's like this is what it would be like for an album and tour for "Slipknot unmasked". Pulling a "KISS" in the early 80's. No thanks. But all the other music from his other bands would be cool. Either way, he is a good singer.
Honestly Corey seems to be distancing himself from slipknot more and more and honestly after listening to cmft2 I'm all for him doing more of what he wants and I think that slipknot is not only hard on his voice but on his body. Also I may be wrong but all of the guys in slipknot besides Paul grey and Jim root have always seemed like they are really difficult to work with, Granted Corey might be a bit hard to put up with himself with how he is always focusing on other projects but I think that after Paul died corey has been forcing himself to keep doing slipknot shows and between Joey dieing and Chris being fired and sueing over the producers not paying him it's not the same and honestly it hasn't been the same anyways since All hope is gone so I think Corey is just about done with slipknot and you can tell a huge difference between Corey and Paul's writing on all of the albums before "we are not your kind". Shawn (Aka clown) did 90% of the writing and I think corey just recorded them for an easy payday but their is just not any passion or creativity in the sound ot lyrics and its pretty much like the fast in the furious franchise after Paul walker died (Ironic huh?) Everyone knows that it's not the same but they still make money for keeping on doing new things but it's garbage because Corey isn't into it like he was before Paul grey died and its pretty obvious. I've been a maggot since I was 4 year's old so I hate that slipknot is not the band I used to remember but I'm okay with Corey doing his own thing because I enjoy different types of music and also care about his mental, physical and vocal health. He said in an interview a few weeks ago that he's in constant pain so let's all just be happy hes still touring and even still singing the heavy stuff anyways.
