I love you so much Elizabeth, thank you for being a strong musical healer in my life growing up. Your voice is eternally beautiful!! I’m so happy and proud to see you bless us with your voice once again!
I contemplate often why.. what is it about Elizabeth in particular that moves us so? That touches our souls and helps us when coping through emotional trauma and pain? When clearly, Elizabeth has let us just enough into her experience to understand that her lyricism and singing is frequently cathartic in nature which we can surmise has been a way for her to cope and heal as well. Her art is without doubt medicinal through relation. I’m curious of the perspective of others touched in such a deep way. Why does Elizabeth’s work have such a nurturing quality that seems to help us navigate through the deepest wells of sorrow?
At last, I cannot recall how many times I searched the web, always full of hope to find a new release with that godly (moving) voice. I've learned I've been doing that for 25 years, at some time we even listened to CT Xmas songs (bbrrruaah). Now, and we are a year late, we haven't felt younger for quite a while.
@@lizzzzzzzz.. Honestly, I feel you.. But, it couldn’t hurt. God is everywhere and within us. I have always been desperately in love with Elizabeth Fraser. Cocteau Twins changed my life and Elizabeth's incredible voice and her beautiful eyes will forever bring light into my life. There, I've said it........
Was my song of the year when it came out. Now all these years later, still playing it regularly and one of the best songs I've ever heard. An astonishing production

Wow. Incredible. It's like Elizabeth Fraser meets Massive Attack. Oh wait, it is :) So happy to hear Elizabeth's magical voice again with these great beats
It seems so much time has passed and yet the miracle of Eliabeth's voice has remained timeless. My head and ears and soul says more please Elizabeth but my heart just says play this one again. Thank you!
Hi Liz You´re at your best again as you always were. I have the first version of underwater on vinyl but this version is so beautiful that I could hear it for the rest of my life in repeat. We need your music and your voice as we need the air to breathe. 25 years or so was too much to suffer without your real yourself as a musician in spite of all your participations in other bands. Please come to Lisbon in Portugal.
The autumn of my life? There is a book of poems by Wallace Stevens (my favourite poet) entitled The Auroras of Autumn, and it has a line that I'd love to dedicate to EF: "Not balances that we achieve/ but balances that happen". Greetings from Opole, Poland.
Knocked down by "the Autumn of my life" - placed in this song that we fans have heard in different forms as Simon Thornhill says. And as another fan says: we're with her.
I felt the same. It resonates deep in my soul. I think it’s apropos for many CT fans as we are all at an age where we are entering the Autumn of our lives, if not Winter.. Summers gone. 💛
The echoes of her voice deeply groove my life’s seasons. I hear a rift for each cornerstone. Life in tune to her vibration has been like mercy and forgiveness, enfolding love and starlings’ murmurations.
Sent a chill down my spine. So many questions. Is this a swansong, a departure? Or is it the opening of a new chapter? I hope that whichever it is, there is peace and happiness for all involved if only for the emotions Elizabeth has brought us all over the years.
Summer is gone for me as well Elizabeth but my Autumn promises to be rich with color and wonder as long as you keep making music. Your beauty as a human being begins where words start to fail so I will just say thank you.
I have waited what seems like my whole life for this!!!!!! Thank the goddesses Liz is back. Such an angel. Discovered her in 85 and haven't stopped listening since. The one true love of my life (her voice) ❤
That was my year of discovery also. I was 10. CT, specifically Elizabeth, has a special hold over my eternal soul that no other human has ever managed. Treasure seekers unite!! 💜
on repeat for two days in a row, the song and your voice are unbelievable it’s an endless experience of auditory bliss when you sing 'summer's gone' time stops, and both the mind and soul become fully present, while everything else fades into the beyond
I am 25 years old, I listened to all the Cocteau Twins records and I was in ecstasy, never has a sound made me feel like their records. Greetings from Paraguay
Honestly, as a 48 yo having been a fan since age 10- I went through many, many years of being isolated in my love for CT. Bearing the brunt of nasty razzing over my adoration as though I were an idiot without culture or taste by peers. To hear younger generations being turned onto CT revives my soul and somehow gives me a sense of optimism. I’m so happy you’ve discovered CT and hope that the music inspires and heals you as it has myself over the decades. Welcome, with love. 💕
Was woken by you this am, on a cold bleak day, on Nz national....knew in my subconscious that it was something, someone I'd known since early teens...I'm 53 now and you still play a big part in keeping me sane and joyful. Much aroha, Jo. (you are still our little treasure....)
Hearing your sublime voice again after such a long absence is like a gift ..I have loved your music since I was 15 or 16 in the early 80' s ..so lucky to have seen the Cocteau Twins play in Liverpool in 1985 absolutely magical .Thankyou Liz fo r cheering me up today ,new music is a gift xxx

Brilliantly beautiful.... I never thought such a gem would emerge again, as Liz seemed to have decided to stop singing (publicly at least). And now this work of art (not only the music, but the visuals, too). This world is magical!
That music box intro with the heavy industrial backbeat gives the listener goosebumps from the get-go. Then it continues evolving into something even more incredible, even more magical. It's like being swept thru time from one birth to the next and to the next...
