I was in the room when they met. It was at the Cocteau Twins' aftershow at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The Cocteau's manager Raymond Coffer introduced them to each other, right in front of me. They were both so animated to meet each other, both grinning like school kids.

Most people don't realize how very, "very rare" it is for Elizabeth Fraser to allow herself to be interviewed. She's always been so protective about her feelings and back when Jeff died, she heard the news while writing and recording with Massive Attack on Mezzanine. I've listened to her for almost 40 years, and I knew in my heart of hearts, "Teardrop" was for Jeff.
When you listen to, "All Flowers in Time Bend Towards the Sun" if you, don't hear the love between both of them -- then, there's a problem with you. This song was not meant to be released, but when it did, all Elizabeth could say was -- "But, it wasn't finished yet". I think she wanted that moment to remain, only, for herself. I completely understand.
Nevertheless, it's one of the best songs I've ever heard -- she was so happy. Elizabeth has had, so much pain, in her life and I want her to be happy. She's still so beautiful, inside and outside: What a beautiful spirit.

That last line was so right: “he just had something you wanted. It didn’t matter who you were.” I think that’s the perfect way to describe the weird kind of psychic yearning that Jeff Buckley fans feel toward his music and voice. It isn’t a greedy or untoward kind of wanting but a kind of spiritual desire, like his voice moves something in the soul that keeps you craving more. Yeah. I know it sounds weird.

I know Elizabeth has expressed ambivalence and regret about her last couple of years in the Cocteau Twins but in reality the 'Milk & Kisses' sessions produced some of the most spiritually ecstatic songs they ever recorded. The album proper sounds somewhat disjointed in it's sequencing but the outtakes scattered on the 'Violaine' and 'Tishbite' singles (along with 'Touch Upon Touch' and 'Need-Fire' from the 'Judge Dredd' soundtrack) form the equivalent of an album's worth of material that is in many ways superior to the original release. In totality, I feel these last sessions might just be their best work.
We know that Jeff was the inspiration behind 'Rilkean Heart' but 'Circling Girl', 'Smile', 'Tranquil Eye', 'Alice' and many others from this period most certainly share the same spark.

I had to chuckle to myself- as Elizabeth was speaking about Jeff, it dawned on me to check his natal chart for sun conjunct Venus, which I suspected he had just going by what she said here…and low and behold, he does, in Scorpio of all signs. Having been around them before (Sun conjunct Venus, different sign), these types just exude a love you can’t help falling for. To be touched by one feels like you’re being kissed by the sun in the most delicious and warmly way. You fall in love but know the sun is for everybody, not just you. There’s no ‘penetrating’ the sun conjunct Venus person- you will get burned. And you can’t be angry about it because you’re caught up in the wonder of it and the gratitude you met such a beautiful radiant creature.
It’s especially apropos Jeff’s lyrics in “Everybody Here Wants You”. A song about a person who is desired by many, but struggles to find true love…. It is common for Sun conjunct Venus persons to suffer a string of divorces. They burn so brightly, how can anyone come close?

Jeff was most certainly one of God's emissaries on earth...really appreciate how raw Liz is being here. Who wouldn't fall in love with an "essence" like that? The man helped inform the queer soul I know I keep today, his "understanding" of sexuality is far more profound than what you usually here on the radio (then and especially now).

Try Robbie basho the enigmatic super unknown solo artist, who had that thing that immense thing he sung for and played not for himself for something surpassing this reality, and he apparently was so convincing that people meeting him would rather doubt their reality than his.
The man died at the hands of a chiropractor in an accident. Orphaned child, not a generally handsome man however, which adds to the mystery that shimmers through the pain he must have felt alone and misunderstood
