Official video of Massive Attack performing Teardrop from the album Mezzanine. - เพลง
My younger brother committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. He was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is his youtube account. He made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day he passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method he used, he was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for him with his music on. I love you Darius, I'll miss you everyday for the rest of my life..
I'm sorry for you... hope he found peace now...
Sorry for your loss
I'm so sorry for your loss I hope your brother has found his peace ❤
Sending much love in such a time ✌️🙏❤️✨ wish you all the very best 😌
So sorry 🙏
Can we have a moment of silence for all the people that can't find this song.

No. If you can't search for House Credits song I have no sympathy for you.
I only found this thanks to TikTok of all places
I searched "on the fire, feels like the sunrise fades"

so simple, yet so effective.
Songs don't get old when they're special
It's 2020 and 1998 Massive attack are still way ahead of their time.
I thought that in the future more music would follow suit and push the limits of what trip-hop could be. Now there is certainly still very good music of the same genre being put out there but none that truly surpasses this album.
Maybe they built a strong road, I've enjoyed the same genre in recent times from different underrated artists ...
Still going back to 1991 massive attack honey xxx

Come on bring house back.
For those who don't know, this song is composed by the lead singer of Cocteau Twins Elizabeth Fraser, at the time she wrote the lyrics for this song, she was dating Jeff Buckley that unfortunately happened to die of drowning in that same period, i guess no more explanation is needed, this song represents grief in all forms, the melody, the lyrics and the overall energy of the song.
Powerful I’ve only ever written a song before losing the one I love and care about but never after it’s too painful to write about it
She wasn't dating Jeff Buckley at the time. He was in a relationship with Joan Wasser, to whom he had recently proposed.

For someone whose name could be rearranged to spell "Foreman", you sure aren't Foreman.
@MrKeehar
Indeed, it is obvious.
My comment is in reference to all those that commented '*insert TV series name* brought me here' that I find on so many music videos.

The song was released as the second single from the group's third studio album, Mezzanine, on 27 April 1998.

I lost my uncle in an accident in 2022. We've been slowly trying to sort out his stuff and we recently managed to figure out the password for his iPad (it was his own birthday haha). I had a little look and went into his music, this was the last song he was listening to on it. I started listening to this song in early 2023 after hearing it in House and I loved it, I didn't ever know he liked it too. He had a great, diverse taste in music. Miss him every day ❤
This song is literally one of the best songs ever made.
I stumbled upon this on “A discovery of witches”. Really good quote & songs in the show.
Grief carves a place in the heart and sits there forever but when focused it can be a powerful motivator. Sadness becomes resolve and pain becomes action!
“Fear is an illness. If you catch it and you leave it untreated, it can consume you. You face it. Facing your fear is not easy. ❤
“Nobody smart plays fair.”
“It’s hard to regret something you didn’t choose.”
Also one of the best music video off all time too. Its crazy.
Jesus christ that was deep@@irismast5107
It really is.
Vocals are performed by Elizabeth Fraser, former lead singer of Cocteau Twins, who also wrote the lyrics. It was released on 27 April 1998 as the second single from the group's third studio album, Mezzanine
WHAAAAAT! Oh my god I had no idea… so cool!
Cocteau Twins Lazy Calm anticipated trip hop genre in 1986. Absolute masterpiece.
AMÉN AMÉN AMÉN!!!
Cocteau Twins had always been a fave and that's why I checked this out.
Originally, the track was supposed to feature Madonna, but Mushroom later discovered that the other members had already sent the track to Liz Fraser... He sent the backing track to Madonna anyway, who was later disappointed when the final decision to feature Fraser was announced to her
God's honest truth - way back when airlines used to have those 'radio stations' to listen to on their planes, this song came on just as the aircraft (that I and my family were on) was coming in to land at our home city and at night after we'd had a fantastic holiday. It ended just as the plane was coming to a stop. It was like the end of a movie or something.
Whenever I hear this song, it always reminds me of that incredible few minutes... along with a whole bunch of other memories.
+GhostDoggSamurai that's so relatable, sometimes there's just one song that captures the moment so well and every time you hear it it brings back those waves of nostalgia
+GhostDoggSamurai Perfect touch down ending at the very end!
+GhostDoggSamurai Lovely story :) for me this song makes me feel the world is slowing down and I'm the only one walking seeing how bad the or ugly our earth planet is becoming due to greediness/enviousness people became, so selfish -_-
+GhostDoggSamurai This is a nice comment man, its all about memories.
+GhostDoggSamurai
Sweet---sound like the song actually closed out your holiday for you, lol.
My brain has never left 90's dimension, every time I hear timeless classics from the 90's I am transported back in time/home. 💞👌😊👍
Mine either. Its forever the 90's in my mind. And Im fine with that.
90s forever...🤘
I’m right there with you!!
I was born in 92 and have core memories starting in like 97ish and some slight memories before then of life and music from that time does the same to me. I felt so warm as a kid and the music puts a little bit of that warmth back.
Im with you there - 90s were a great time to be alive, we were free and looking forward to the future, fast forward to now and what a mess we are in. If only we could go back.
It blows my mind that I was once in a womb like this...and that everyone I meet or see was too..Be kind, we're all human and miracles!

If you listen more closely, you can almost hear relationships crumbling.

I really love seeing someone discover great music for the first time.
This song, while not super well known, has had staying power over the years, albeit having more of a sleeper/cult fan base. As you can see it has over 600k likes, just edging out the subscriber rate for the band itself.

It is so painful to go through all of that. And people are meaner now then it was 20 yrs ago because people can hide behind a screen now. I know because we had dial up back then and social media wasnt a thing so doxing and people telling you to kill yourself wasnt a thing either. English trip hop group Massive Attack. Vocals are performed by Elizabeth Fraser
Trip hop at the very beginning of it all as techno faded away. Also--- with deep shades of Portishead.
@@BrianCarnevaleB26 Portishead and massive attack are both from exactly the same part of England. The city of Bristol, much like Seattle has grunge, Bristol has triphop. Bristol also has a huge cultural and arts scene, there's graffiti art on every wall and building, it's truly the city of artists in England.
I honestly believe that what sets this song apart is the intro. Almost a full minute long, it sets the mood for one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs you will ever hear. Elizabeth Fraser was described as having "the voice of God". After hearing this, it's hard to argue with that.
