Hey Chelle, i cut my hair off 3yrs ago and started my own micro locks, i still maintain them myself, i never loved my hair more, since i locked. I love how your hair came out.
They look great. Love them. I don't have the patience to retwist or retie that many locs, so I did my starters larger. I have shaved sides and a tapered back, like yours. Once those areas grow out, I'll twist those up. You make me want to twist the back smaller. Great job. 😊😊

You did a great job and they look gorgeous, even short, so rock them. I started my locs 11 months ago with two-strand twists grab and go. I have very fine thin hair so I did mine regular locs but small ones. I retwist my hair using mousse, either Aussie or Lotta Body, none of the gels would hold my 4c hair lol! My retwist lasts for two weeks and then I shampoo my hair, I only retwist every 8 weeks. Good luck on your journey and I hope you stick with it, I love my locs and wish I had done them years ago. I mist my hair daily with Aleo Vera juice mixed with a water-based leave-in conditioner, and essential oils, cinnamon, peppermint, and rosemary, I also add almond oil to it. This keeps my locs moisturized and I have ZERO build-up, none. And that is all I do for my locs now. Once they are fully locked (most of them are) I will start back using my Shea Butter receipt, only lightly because my hair is very dry, and using this helped to grow my hair waist-length before my locs.
