00:00:16 Cordelia is banished by King Lear 00:00:59 Lear goes mad in the storm 00:01:25 Goneril and Regan torture Gloucester 00:02:42 Edmund prevents Gloucester from killing himself 00:03:11 Edmund finds out Edmund and Goneril's plot 00:03:44 War breaks out
All of them, actually - if you look carefully and consider various 'calligraphic variants' of the letters used. Gloucester stumped me for a while... And Cornwall actually is an exception (hint: his hat).
I always thought that Cordelia didn't say her bit because daddy had dished out the goodies to the sisters after each speech ??? And as the eldest sister always took precedent so it left Cordelia with very little too 'grovel/flatter' with' even if she felt the need to.... Or at least that was our old Eng Lit teachers take on it ??????? Correct me if I'm wrong. Then again Shakespeare interpretation is like a pick'n' mix these days !!!!
So, I am an absolute novice, but shouldn't it be ancient Britian Since the Angles were not around yet? Like I know it is just myth but isn't this story supposed to take place thousand of years even before Rome invaded?
Thank you. I like how fast and to the point your videos are. However I hate Shakespeare and this is a dumb story. But thank you on behalf of my grades.

Shakey was having a bad week when he wrote this one, damn.
He was in quarantine during a plague outbreak. Not a good week at all.
I've been rewatching this video for an essay and noticed that almost all their heads are shaped like the first letter of their names :O
Good eye, very few people notice that! Thanks for leaving a comment, hope you enjoyed the lesson!

WHEN DID THE GAUGING OUT EYES THING HAPPEN, AND I THOUGHT POOR TOM WAS POOR TOM
Edmund and Cornwell gauges out the eyes if i am not wrong
And Poor Tom is Edgar🥲
GUYS THIS IS A BAD SUMMARY I THINK ITS MISSING SOME POINTS 1:16
No-one gets a happy ending, how could you know that
"no one gets a happy ending"
Who is "Leah"? There's King Lear, but there's no character named Leah
it's just the narrator's accent, it makes it sound like they're saying "Leah"
It’s called an accent
Lol so true
Thank you. I like how fast and to the point your videos are. However I hate Shakespeare and this is a dumb story. But thank you on behalf of my grades.
Why do you keep pronouncing "Lear" as "Leah"?
That's how Australians pronounce it.
Just a terrible summary.
it’s under six minutes what did you expect lmao, there’s more out there no need for negativity
