    I wonder if Twoset gets discouraged sometimes, seeing that violin playing videos (the levels of / evolution of series) tend to get less views, despite the hard work put into practicing these excerpts. If so, I hope they know that there are many of us out here who love, appreciate and look forward to such videos! It's always great to see them in their element with no-nonsense violin playing! Plus, as a non-musician, these videos help expand my exposure to more classical music. Keep going :)

    • @booksandmusic2526
      @booksandmusic2526 2 ปีที่แล้ว +83

      I was thinking the exact same thing. I hope they know that the majority of people follow them because they love music and they appreciate Twoset's talent and personalities. It'd be a real shame if they stopped these series.
      We know it's hard work and the rewards (views) might not be as high as the roasting videos, but guys, please keep doing them! It's always a treat listening to and watching you play.

    • @Casutama
      @Casutama 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I am always thinking the same thing. It's such a shame, too, because these are my favourite videos of theirs. I mean, I love a lot of their content, but videos like this one are just the best! But I would understand if they decided it wasn't worth it (or not as often) - these videos require a lot of time and effort from them and in the end, TwoSet is their job and if the numbers on these types of videos aren't great (not only views, also likes and general engagement, just look at how few comments there are!) or not proportional to the effort, it's understandable that they wouldn't make many videos of this kind.
      It really is a pity though!

    Explenation: In music, a cadenza (from Italian: cadenza [kaˈdɛntsa], meaning cadence; plural, cadenze [kaˈdɛntse]) is, generically, an improvised or written-out ornamental passage played or sung by a soloist or soloists, usually in a "free" rhythmic style, and often allowing virtuosic display. During this time the accompaniment will rest, or sustain a note or chord. Thus an improvised cadenza is indicated in written notation by a fermata in all parts. A cadenza will usually occur over the final or penultimate note in a piece, the lead-in (German: Eingang)[6] or over the final or penultimate note in an important subsection of a piece. It can also be found before a final coda or ritornello.[3]

      @@curio_sphere I agree, the sound quality isn't the greatest and they've definitely improved :) but I still find myself going back to their 2 mil livestream frequently. Because even with the bad sound quality, 2 mil was great and really special. Is it the greatest Tchaikovsky violin concerto recording I've ever heard? No, but they can still be really proud of what they did there. Brett especially.

      @Marguerite-Rouge 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Actually, as a violinist, level 1 seems to me more difficult than 2, 3, and 4. Level 2 seems difficult, but it appears quite easy when you've already practiced some scales and arpeggios. On the contrary, level 9 seems easy, but the harmony is very unusual, so it requires more cognitive effort and endurance.

      @@Marguerite-Rouge I would consider Wieniawski 2’s cadenza to be easier than the other three musically, as it is literally just straight sixteenth notes. The other ones are also longer, and Beethoven’s cadenza really is no joke technically with those double stops.

    • @ElsweyrDiego
      @ElsweyrDiego 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Maybe it's because speedy passages can be seen as difficult and virtuosistic, but those are the easier ones. The really difficult ones are double stops, you can see the hardest parts are double stops played very slowly in comparison to fast scales or arpeggios.

    • @Marguerite-Rouge
      @Marguerite-Rouge 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ianshasha7531 Personally, I am more confident with musically interesting pieces (when I know how to conduct phrases, the technical aspects follow quite easily). But with a piece that is only technique, I am lost.
      But beyond these very personal reasons, I still think at least the Mendelssohn one is objectively the easier in the lot (for the reasons I mentioned in my previous comment).
