I am so impressed by Eddy and Brett. Did you notice that the harder the pieces got, the more they closed their eyes and just felt the music? They didn't even use the notes as more than support. I love this channel so much!!
That's also kinda because they have played all the harder pieces many times and know it well by heart. I think they didn't know the beginner pieces which is why they had to sight read them.
I was very impressed as well! Excellent musicians. But the eyes closed was probably when they knew the piece already and didn't have to read the music. :)

Guys, I am so happy to find you! I have had 8 years of violin in Ukraine in 80-s. Obviously, we had no idea who was Ling Ling that times as well as we had little access to knowledge and good live examples. Anyway, after 30 years you inspired me to take my violin out (surprisingly it still sounds) and to start practicing every day (with little progress already). Never in my lifeI could I expect that hard practicing can be such fun))). I also follow Eddy's recommendations on his channel. Thank you guys.
Same here!!! Gave up at 15 (learned for 9 years), picked it up again at 35 after I started watching twoset. I used to hate practice but now I enjoyed it like never before and tried to squeeze time for it after a full day working. Never too late to learn and enjoy music! Keep practicing 😄
Actually wished they did it more often. I do understand that this channel is geared to a younger audience who enjoys the goofiness, as they seek to inspire young folks to PRACTICE (40 hours) their instruments.
i know right.. we enjoy their channel because they are 2 funny goofy violin nerdballs (which needs to be on a t-shirt) but often you get something like this which shows the reason they have a channel in the first place, that even people who have no idea of anything about music, like myself, can enjoy. You don't even need to understand what they are doing to enjoy the reactions.
Honestly I forget that sometimes. But it’s only because they make everything look so effortless, it gives me a false sense of understanding at what level a professional should be. My only level of music is fifth grade clarinet. I watch to learn about music and because their raw charisma is utterly charming. Since they’re so casual, I also forget that they’ve played at the White House and massive orchestras. Basically, for me, they are so amazing that I forget what it means to be a professional musician.

Mr35diamonds then what are these tests for? genuinely curious
@@easyteh4getperson they're for middle class parents to put a certificate on their wall and brag to other middle class parents that they are superior because their child has Grade 3 violin and the other child only has Grade 2 😉 in reality it's just a way of creating a framework for the process of learning an instrument, giving students a goal to work towards and an indicator of how far they've progressed. Grade 8 is often a prerequisite for music degrees or teaching courses but the others aren't really 'for' anything except giving yourself motivation to achieve your goals and move on to the next stage.
