Good podcast! Delving into the mindset behind our approach to education has been rightly pointed by Sagorika. We should not forget our Indian roots in the race of seeking west's validation of being educated.

    Good episode.
    1. 33:00 I am on Vineet's camp, modernity and tradition are separate entities. The areas in which countries that don't acknowledge turn into weakness. No one suggests Kalari practitioners can't be coders. China's martial arts or even Muay Thai don't command the same respect anymore because they turned croppers against BJJ+kickboxing. I won't pin my hopes on Kalari against modern systems. Westernisation would entail abandonment of Kalari but modernization would mean start sparring with other global and regional practices to discover the lacunae and fill in the gaps that is suited for our stature and body type.
    2. I hoped for an larger segment on trades education(idea for follow up episode?). India has to industrialise which means the space occupied by traditional will diminish. This topic is extremely important as it impacts the biggest chunk of Indian population.
    3. The only regions where discussions of this nature are happening is South American decoloniality and American Afrocentrism. What can we learn from their failings and not turn woke? For example, we already had our own version of pedagogy on mathematics based mainly on music and linguistics. How do we not turn into a joke like Afrocentric mathematics?
